darkshot64 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Probably the time I did the "Seven Day Survivor" in Dead Rising. That's around 14 hours of waiting around eating food and no saving. That time was only bested by the time a friend and I stayed up for a day and a half trying to beat Resident Evil 6. That game is the best example of how NOT to design a game. It was awful but at least pretty damn entertaining.

It's not the fact that it didn't keep to the originals that bothered me, because I really liked RE4. And I thought RE5 was a good game although not a good "Resident Evil" game. But the whole time I played RE6 was just me screaming "WHAT IS GOING ON? WHY AM I ABLE TO DO THIS? FUCKING WHA- SERIOUSLY?" Â
Molevalence Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Me was when Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty came out. I waited 12 years for this game. Was at the game store around 5am the day they were available, was first in line. Bought 2 collector editions (One is still factory sealed. ) bought 2 dozen red bulls and ordered out. Played and beat the game on all difficulties which took about 3 days before I went to sleep. Brutal difficulty sucks but I got my Kerrigan picture for my profile. Worth it!
Victoria K. Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I can remember 22-23 hours start to finish Alpha Protocol. I wanted so bad to see the end, couldn't sleep without knowing the outcome for my agent M.T. Â But that has been an exception, my usual "big crazy sessions" are about 11-12 hours, no more.
Spartan 363 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I would say about 10 hrs the most when Halo 3/Reach/4 came out and also for Skyrim/Oblivion/Fallout 3/NV when they first came out. Other than that, I only game about average 3 hours a day.
Wheelhouse Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Every few years I seem to have a 36-48 hour game session, because it takes me that long to forget how bad I'll feel afterwards.  At work we're always shut down between Christmas and New Years (work in manufacturing), and whether there's snow or not, it's always cold here (US Midwest). That seems to be when I have these sessions - during that week of, more or less, forced time off work.  The first one of these I remember was for NWN. I got the Gold edition (which had Shadows of Undrentide or w/e it was called) as well as Hordes of the Underdark one year, and I do remember playing for at least 36 hours straight one of those weeks. I know I orded a pizza 2 nights in a row without sleeping and had the same delivery guy both nights (and I was in the same clothes - hadn't slept between orders).  I know I played a crap ton of DragonRealms back in the late 90's on AoL - but not sure if I ever hit a 24 hour session.  My most recent long session was last week (Thanksgiving week here in the US) with AC 4 on the PS 4. Had the week off - nothing planned, and I had at least one day of about 16 hours (but never missed sleep for it). Just needing level 55 in MP to platinum (I'm 48 now).
Mordyn Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 8 hours per day for 5 days in Morrowind, when I was homesick ... no mods, apart from non official patches, and I really enjoyed the game Â
Papajack55 Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 My first sitting was with Fallout 3 which I loved dearly and didn't get up except to go get something to bring back down to eat and drink while I played, oh I think that first sitting was 43 hours and 17 minutes before I finally fell asleepp from lack of it.  I have put over 5,396 hours on Fallout 3. When Fallout New Vegas came out, I wasn't as interested, but played for 23 hrs, and have over 1,978 hrs on the game. Skyrim, there is a whole new story.  I sat down with that game and played it through all the way, mod-free completely. I did the last main quest last. I took my time and ended up staying on about 29 hrs and 33 minutes. I have over 2,877 hours logged in on Skyrim as to date. I'm retired, a gaming fool, and can't wait for Dragon Age: Inquisition in the Fall, and Fallout 4 in 2015 Summer.
Call me Mark Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Just spent half a day playing the new Strider game.
Spectre_15 Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Spent about 36 hours playing Skyrim the day it came out. Â Took off of work the following two days, picked it up at the midnight release, started playing till about 1:30pm a day later.
...0... Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Around early 2003 in my town at the time we had big gaming Café and they organise a weekend gaming event with Asheron's call 2 MMO around 23 people came playing this game together from saturday morning 9 o'clock am until sunday 16:00 pm constant playing without sleeping.  That was my longest game session.  Many times over the years ive played long night sessions without sleep but lately i can't do this anymore getting older no energy for it anymore hehe.

AgendaDysphoria Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 23 hours straight, felt terrible, only time I've ever pulled an all-nighterÂ
lidowxxx Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 20 hours straight in diablo 2 on battle.net, I often had long gaming sessions when I played the game, quite an addictive game indeed especially when you playing with friends.
dje34 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 My longest gaming session was not for playing but for making a video game, during a Global Game Jam. Â Man ! From the beginning to the end, this event is a real challenge ! Sleeping is Evil ! Â It was my first and my last Global Game Jam and I don't think I will do it again.
Angrybird Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Straight without brakes was 6 hrs of Sins, one of the battles lasted an 1h, great game.
Guest Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 i just started playing world of warcraft and became quickly addicted soooo..... world of warcraft, enough redbull to kill a pig, a bunch of weird al yankovic and 3 days straight bing bang boom.

Well, IMO it was better.  Once, when playing through Xenogears, I managed to go twelve hours straight. I just can't manage these day-or-more long stretches that others do. My once-iron bladder has rusted, my ass is so bony no amount of padding keeps me comfortable, and my hands start to cramp up after just three or four hours of playing. If I try to push past that hump then my body rebels violently: my hands seize up, my bowels start banging on the door, and I lose all feeling in my legs.  Yeah, I'm getting old.
nobodx Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Around 50-60 hours once at a LAN-Party, but that was 15 years ago... Nowadays barely longer than 30h per session

What??? you're old, you could be my son! ? but you are right, these symptoms I know it well, but anyway I play until to the falls over. this is the rule for me, 9 o'clock in the morning I turn on my PC and 3 o'clock in the night out again. that's 16 hours a day, from that I play 12 hours minimum, every day. my absolute marathon was, when Morrowind appeared, I played 5 days without interruption until my wife pulled the plug.Â
NickNozownik Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 About 24h when Morrowind was released. I immediately stole everything that wasn't bolted to the ground, broke into some Argonian's house and punched him to death to steal even more useless garbage. Ah, the good old days.
FauxFurry Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 According to my old Raptr account, around 24 hours. I somehow forgot to turn off the console that it was running on along with the monitor so I technically played the game for a solid day. I don't even remember which game it was, only that I had a full day session on record.
