They work great. :)  Thank you very much.

As an aside:  The shorts have an "Alternate Cube Map" version.  What is a cube map, and why would we need an "alt" version?

I only converted the two shorts that were included in the mesh folder. The Alt version, which is short for alternative, is just a different color variant of the shorts.

Does anybody have the conversion for this, I thought I remember seeing one earlier ( maybe not in this thread)

Also on a different note, can anyone give the advantages of OCBP vs OCBPC? If I follow this right the OCBP is the jiggles make me giggles, whereas the OCBPC is the smushed boobs and butts.

Those discord links go to an odd place.  It's like a blank server.

You must confirm the rules of the server, then it works with the links.

There are no rules, topics, text, nothing.

it's a blank space.

edit: Looked into it - you have to be a Patron to get access to the discord server.

Ok, I am not a Patreon, but no idea where the problem lies!

Hello. I have a request.

Could someone remove the body mesh AND change the slot to Slot 54 (from body slot 33) for the following 3 items for Dicky's Fusion Girl: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/30006?tab=description

* High Heels

* Combat Heels

* Combat Boots

I want to be able to wear these shoes with armor, but because they current have a body mesh attached to them and occupy slot 33, I can't.

Or, if you could teach me how to do it, I'd appreciate that.

You'll need to switch the armor to use other slots. Outfits with shoes, and that includes outfits that consist only of shoes, need to use body slot 33. The game is designed to expect that.

Okay, I will switch the armor instead of the shoes. Thank you.

It's weird though, because I have a Converse mod that provides two shoes: One on slot 33, but one on slot 54. I use the ones on slot 54 without any issues. No clipping. When I changed Dicky's Boots to slot 54 (from 33), I experienced a ton of problems, including clipping or high heels not working. This is because the mesh has the body attached to it, I think.

So, the Converse mod proves it's possible. Just not sure how the author did it.

If you expand the mesh of the shoes so that they're large enough your feet don't clip through, then it can be done. Most shoes in outfits, however, rely on body zaps to hide the toes. This is particularly necessary if the shoes are not the same shape as bare feet when standing flat-footed (for example, high heels). Body zaps require there to be a body mesh to zap, so the shoes need a body mesh included in order to do that, and they need to be worn in a slot that conflicts with everything else providing a body mesh, which is slot 33 (that slot technically even gets naked skin automatically equipped when nothing is worn, so that you always have one and only one body mesh rendered).

I messed with trying to change armor slots once.  I tried to change Osare Undewear to use a different slot so i could wear them with other clothes; perma-broke that mod.  Not even uninstalling and reinstalling it would help, so never, ever messing with that kind of thing again. :P

Yes, the problem with Fallout 4 is that unlike Skyrim, for example, the feet are part of the body mesh (slot 33).
With flat shoes you can do that sometimes to give them a different slot than the body slot. But with high heels this is unfortunately not possible, because the shape of the feet must be adapted to the heels. So it is absolutely necessary to put them on slot 33. But the common method is to put all shoes on slot 33.

Changing an armor slot for a Fallout 4 mod is actually quite simple.

1. Start xEdit
2. check only the esp of the armor mod (right click "Select None", then select only the mod)
3. click under "Armor Addon" on the armor part you want to change
4. on the right side you can see the slot of the armor under "BOD2 - Biped Body Templet" "First Person Flags (sorted)".
5. change the slot to the desired slot.
6. repeat step 3 to 5 under "Armor"
7. close xEdit with the x in the upper right corner and save the esp.

The advantage of fallout 4 is that you only have to change the armor slot in the esp. In Skyrim you also have to change it in the mesh.

I used the CK in Skyrim for my efforts.  :(

Sadly, switching the Leotard from slot 33 to 54 resulted in my body going invisible. Didn't work out. I guess I am doomed to never be able to use Dicky's Combat Boots with an outfit that occupies Slot 33. Blargh.

If you're moving something from 33 to a different slot, you usually need to remove the base body from it's mesh with Outfit Studio. Also sometimes items will have "segments" defined which auto-hide specific parts and need to be removed from the mesh (I had to do this once when fixing a piece of headwear which I didn't want to cause the actor's hair mesh to disappear).
