Hi everyone. Big update. Lots to do. Carnalitas patch on Saturday maybe.

I love this Saturday...

Good job, thank you!

I had it work except that it hides the Inventory menu for some reason.

 look up 3 posts and there is a solution for that

When last I played (prior to Northern Lords) there was an issue with "Youthful Rulers": Abdicating would still keep the now abdicated former ruler as culture/dynasty head if they were so before abdication.

Is this still an issue?

Since the original modder hasn't been on in quite a while, do you think (I'd imagine with credit given), the Saturday update could possibly integrate functional versions of the various "(Not So) Simple", mods into it?

I'm attempting to make the Divine Retribution perk from the Intrigue skill tree prevent Piety and Clergy Opinion loss from the Rape Prisoner interaction like it does for Torture and Execute in vanilla.

I've found this line of code in 00_prison_effects.txt from the base game files:

else_if = {
            limit = {
                faith = scope:victim.faith
                NOT = { has_perk = divine_retribution_perk }
            }
            add_piety = medium_piety_loss
        }

I assume I have to place it somewhere in carn_rape_effects.txt but don't know exactly where to put it to avoid messing something else up. Does anyone know of an elegant way to do this? This may be something worth adding to the mod proper for the next update as well.

Yes, while I don't personally care for it, this interaction makes to much sense to not just add it into the baseline mod. If you or the mod creator can figure it out, I completely agree that it should be added in.

This is still an issue. I'm not sure how to fix this short of killing the original ruler, which seems kinda gross. That said it should update normally after a while since the culture head and dynasty head always shift to the most influential ruler.

Now updated, is this the big update at Saturday and just release early?

There is no "big update" scheduled. I'm just working on this when I have time and updating when it makes sense to do so. I rushed 1.6 out specifically because Carnalitas is unplayable with the latest version of CK3 otherwise.

I am not planning to integrate those mods. I'm bad with 3d model stuff, and anyway Carnalitas isn't the place for optional cosmetic mods like that. If anyone else is willing to update Waffle's body mods they are welcome to do so.

Good idea, I'll add that.

I don't see any changes to game rules even though the mod is enabled   :(

This is unfortunately a common issue with loading mods outside of Steam Workshop or Paradox Plaza. Check the FAQ and see if it fixes your problem.

Thanks for your reply! I kinda sort it out.

I'm eagerly awaiting the next big update, hope you'll have some time to work on it again.

Royal Court finally brought some features that we were missing for far too long.

The game simply is unplayable without the mod.

Great to see this updated for Royal Court, are the carnalitas submods working as well?

I have been playing for close to 10 hours with Carnalitas and a number of submods, including old ones like Adroit Religion. I also grabbed the updated versions of the Simple Shaft/Slits mods from their forum posts.

So far, no real issues.

Would it be  possible to add the "Sexual Harassment Interaction" from the World of Sexcraft mod? Maybe add the option to turn it off for those that dont want it. Making Love seems more official between established characters, while harassment could be done to someone in court, maybe even adding dread.

Hiya, thank you for the mod!  One question/request though.  Is there a way to up the birth control fertility debuff to more than -100%?  When I play as a ridiculous character they end up having fertility way past 100% so the birth control does nothing

Any chance for an interaction to be added? It takes a year to sleep with someone, even for the middle ages, thats a long time. You should be able to proposition someone. They can say yes and bam, lover or one night stand. Or they can expose you or use it as blackmail but still. 365 days to ask if someone wants to bang? lol

There's a No Cooldown option for Make Love interaction in game rules but the in-game effect happens every year. You can also use Bed Relations 2 mod which gives you an option to Lay With someone, lover or spouse and impregnate them (get pregnant if female ruler) or not.

Cheri might get around to it eventually (they're updating quite a few mods for Royal Court), but in the meantime you can fix it yourself with a simple text editor. In the "carn_birth_control_modifiers" file, change the value of "fertility = -1.0" to whatever you want. I set mine to -10.0 (corresponds to -1000%) and that seems to have done the trick.

The default birth control is supposed to be imperfect. I figured that the game is more interesting if you still have to deal with some potential consequences for sleeping around and practicing birth control isn't a get out of jail free card.

Besides, it's the middle ages. You're shoving sheepskin into your pussy and chugging herbal tea. It isn't an exact science.

Fair enough; but also I personally play with immortality and have noticed this issue. For one rulers lifetime having an imperfect birth control and dealing with consequences is fine, but for a 1000 year old immortal, that can end up with 100+ children, not so much. I understand it is a choice to play with immortality but it would be nice to have a toggle option to increase it or maybe a second buff altogether that you can toggle in the game options, if possible.

I will look into it. A game rule sounds like a good compromise.
