[mod] Carnalitas - Unified Sex Mod Framework for CK3

Maybe I am blind but I installed the mod and it's sub-mods and continued a game from a about a month ago.
I can't seem to find an option to initiate sex with spouse or lovers outside of the seduction events or random other events (like host an orgy)

Am I missing something? Should there be something and I need to check for mod conflicts, or do I need a certain law/religion or so?

 

I've also installed the arousal framework mod and arousal is starting to get an issue even if my char has a wife and 3 lovers (and the game already throws me events that increase stress if I don't ditch one)

Most of the interactions in the mod are game rules. So you need to start a new game.

Earthly Desires isn't a Carnalitas submod, but a Carnalitas clone that mostly just duplicates the same features. Running them together is mostly an exercise in futility unless you really, really like the Earthly Desires events.

Thanks for the mod, by the way, Cheri! I'm teaching myself how to mod using this and Intimate Encounters. Can anyone answer a general modding question? How can I trigger an event when someone in my court gets pregnant? It looks like there's a way to do that built into Carnalitas but it only functions with Carnalitas custom pregnancies, right?

 

Use the on_pregnancy_mother on_action. See game/common/child_birth_on_actions.txt for an example of how to call events from it.

I think it was mentioned a few pages ago that the German localization isn't implemented. That's why there is no proper text for you.

Maybe i am also blind, but i installed the mod, added a new playset, and enabled the mods and even started a totally new game, checked every single game rule, and i found nothing. What else should i do?

So... I started birth control, and now my wife is pregnant anyway. We're both fecund, so is this a math problem, or is she a hoe?

 

Edit: The child was a daughter, so it doesn't really change my dynasty at all, but I am still curious.

• Sex Interactions: Adds character interactions allowing you to have sex with your spouses, consorts, and lovers, or rape prisoners.
• Slavery System: An immersive slavery framework allowing you to enslave characters, free slaves, and buy and sell slaves, depending on your faith's attitudes toward slavery.
• Prostitution System: A prostitution framework allowing you to force your slaves into prostitution or work as a prostitute yourself.
• Lactation System: A lactation framework allowing you to lactate from pregnancy and keep track of your milk production through a widget in the character window.
• Fetish System: A framework for characters to gain fetishes upon becoming Deviants, which are shown in the character window and can be tracked by mod scripts.
• Body Part Traits (Dicks & Tits): Adds new congenital traits for breast and penis size, which can be seeded on game start.

Etc...  and all the things listed below. Maybe i was the one who misunderstood something, but i installed it, did everything pint by point, and i find the game totally unchanged. Like it didnt have any mods at all.

When you right-click characters, do you see the 'enslave' option in prison and 'make love' in personal (when clicking a lover or concubine)? Also, lactation should show up as a grey droplet next to the age of the character in question. Prostitution is a life decision, that you pick from the same menu you host feasts in. Or when right-clicking prisoners.

Thanks. This helped what to look for, but unfortunately still nothing.  Im kinda lost here by now... at this point i dont even know, what i am doing wrong. 

I downloaded the mod, extracted it, copied it into the mod folder...

Started the launcer, the launcher detects the mods. I enabled the mods, and when i start the game.... nothing. Not a single thing is in there from what you listed me. Any ideas? Im on the verge of giving up. Im trying to make this work for more than 3 hours by now.

How much not perfect? 4 more children in 12 years seems like a very high fail rate. Is it that birth control only lower fertility by a flat 100% and is therefore negated by 2x 50% fertility bonus from both adults being fecund, or is it just the case that you use some other piece of code to interact with the fertility mechanic which acts like a secondary calculation to see if pregnancy occurs?

In either case it seems like it could be improved somehow; like multiplying total fertility by 0.03 to give it a very tiny, but conceivable chance of occurring anyway.

Have you enabled the options you wanted in the game rules when you start a new game?

 The options arent even showing up. I did everything by to book, and the mod doesnt loads in. The launcher sas it is, but in reality the game is unchanged.

That meant you didn't install the mods correctly. If this is the first time you are installing mods outside of steam, try to find the instructions for manual installations. My guess is you didn't specify the path in the .mod file. e.g path="mod/Carnalitas"

Looking for advice on how to go about editing carnalitas specific pregnancy chances.   I can see in the following code that the target pregnancy chance is just the generic pregnancy_chance  value...     Can I do simple math with it?  Something like

 

C2_PREGNANCY_CHANCE = {pregnancy_chance * 1.25}

 

to give it a 25% boost?  Or... well I really dont know ><   can someone with a better understanding of the scripting logic give me any advice?  I'd appreciate it

Have an issue with not affecting anything mod with non-english letters (the mod shows up but not affecting anything in the game). Paths are: C:\Users\Администратор\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod and Z:\games\CrusaderKings3MODS (path in .mod file) . Please help.

 

Edit: I have created custom path that is mentioned above. But now game just can't see mods (before that I had a problem with no-effect in game and "solved" it (created the new problem)).

Yes. That is exactly what the tooltip tells you.

If I remember correctly, the slashes in the .mod file need to be backslashes ( "/" not "\" ). See if that fixes the problem.

That is normally a small culture group in West Africa on the Southern coast.

I have not seen anything unusual with it in in game, no.
