@jbezorg - One thing I meant to ask after having to disable / enable SD to clean up script changes.... are you planning on making SD2 easier to set up?

 

Right now, if I want all options, I have to go in and out of the menu system about 7 times - 3 addons + 2 quests + 2 click to set up and begin.

 

I am sure you have ran into the same thought yourself :)

Hello every one, I am relatively new around here but I would like to ask for a hand with this mod. While I have managed to get it working and have so far had an incredible amount of fun with it I do appear to have come to an issue that I am unable get around. I am experiencing a crash to the desktop when I attempt to carry out the Spriggan quest line. (i.e. I have found one and been defeated by it.) It is at that stage I get the CTD.

 

I have had a look inside CrationKit and at first glance it would appear that a lot of the Spriggan files seem to be missing meshes, textures and possibly scripts. It is possible they are just legacy files left over form earlier development of the mod. However that’s all I have to go on at the moment in working out what is wrong.

 

Any help any one can give me on this will be more then appreciated.

 

 

 

 

The spriggan host is based off of the BBP Spriggan Srmor by Nalim. Usually a CTD when it appears means you are missing the required skeleton.

 

 

Thank you very much, it indeed appears to have been an issue with an incompatible Skellington and  I think I have it fixed now.

@AwfulArchdemon: Reassign the buttons and it'll work again.

Was the same for me with the surrender button, as it just stopped working. Having this error since the last 3 versions of SKSE.

But if you use the SexLab version of SD, you got to use the SexLab keys for animation control, ofc.

Oh, and I've never even gone to the Sexlab OP, let alone installed any SL mods. No idea what the hell any of them do (I can safely assume they involve sex?). Is the SL ver of SD really as great as all the hype suggests? Should I actually switch to that? Better? Worse? Side-effects of using regular SD, then switching to that? Bugs? (Question after question after question???)

Not a lot of hype going on with it. It's just an unofficial patch that makes it so SD uses SL instead of SexiS.

If you're not using SexLab then there's no reason for you to switch.

@AwfulArchdemon: SexLab offers more animations and mods that use the features of SL (and there are plenty, aside it's high configurability), will perform just great.
i definitly recommend using SexLab. Defeated for SL is one good reason to install SL, as it offers an alternative to death for these factions, SD doesn't cover. Making SA and SexiS rape almost completly obsolete.
SD SL is, as monababii said, more a quick port, but definitly worth a try. But be aware the problems with LoversHook, that might arise but can be solved easily. But you finally get tons more of possible sex animations to enjoy and your problem with seeing the same animation over and over again are gone as well... even if you see the same action, just in different styles... but hey: different animations are different. :P

 

i suggest you get SL, SL Defeated and LoverComfort. if you like your followers to participate by initiating sex of their own ... with your toon, there's a mod for it.

Btw: Painslut Companion is now SexLab aware. You should check this crazy fem companion out. Worth some good laughs.

 

SD2 will use SL anyway, so it would be wise, to already get aquanted to it, besides the great mods that are already available for this framework.

Let me say it again: Get SL and give it's mods a try. Definitly worth it. And (besides LoverHook), they don't really conflict.
Except the newly introduced PayCrime mod, which will conflict with Prison Overhaul, but with some logic that's clear, as soon as you read what this mod is about.

Thanks for the detailed and specific answer, CGI. Been using LC for a while (love it), and if SL Defeated is the same as SexiS' Defeated, then I'll certainly want that as well (assuming it no longer conflicts with SD in SL ver). LH can wait till it's compatible with these things. Never checked out Prison Overhaul before, therefore I don't have to worry about it conflicting with PayCrime (whatever that is. I'm SL ignorant). :P

SL Defeated got its origins in SexiS Defeated.
But by the time, it became more advanced in some parts. it may still miss some stuff and SAs rape support for followers, but the author of SL Defeated already announced follower support.

The next big defeated update is sheduled for this weekend. :)

 

And btw: LC for SL is suggested by it's author, as the SexiS version became obsolete some time ago.

Get LoversHook as well, do some adjustements (in case of SD SL, set both propability sliders to 0) and you're ready to go.

 

i actually got every SL mod installed, except PayCrime (it's was in french, not working for me and i prefer xPO over PayCrime) and ProCreation, and not having any conflict i don't know the source of and can't solve myself. ;)

 

Not installing SL is like playing Oblivion w/o Lovers with PK or New Vegas w/o SexOut. Rather senseless, if you're interessted in adult content. ^^

 

And xaz Prison Overhaul is NOT based on SexLab. it's based on xaz Animation Pack and enhances your prison experience big time.
Wonder how you can play w/o it ... unless you avoid going to prison by all means neccesary.
if you avoided it, xPO will make you like it ... kinda. :D

Alicia is awesome :) She gave me a lot of motivation to learn SexLab API.

 

And you will find the SD SL port at page 96 of this thread. As CGI said, it is a temporary measure until SD2 comes out as it requires both Sexis and SL working at the same time.

It's really a hack at this point. I will revisit it once I am more experienced with SexLab scripting.

 

I hope it works out for whoever tries it.

 

Along the same line, I started working on two small projects:

 

1- A tweaked version of Alternate Start - Live another life, with changes to starting scenarios compatible with many mods from this forum (for example, starting crime bounty and changes to starting locations to allow enslavement on start).

 

2- A small Dremora mod to work alongside SD. This mod changes the mechanics of the Sanguine Rose to for SL animations on the caster as well as adding nudity and relationship links to dremoras and sanguine himself. Casting a dremora in the middle of combat using the rose can have interesting side effects :)

 

I will probably not release #1 since I don't have the authorization of the original author but #2 will come out eventually. I still need to figure out a good way to catch the actor reference of a freshly summoned dremora. For now, all animations are solo.

Put the script on the actor, storing its ref in the array.

Thanks... I will keep those 2 cents in mind once I get further along in scripting practice (not sure how to stop gameplay scripts for instance :) ).

 

Right now, I am fighting a random hard CTD from some customization I made to the Coveted quest in SD. What makes it hard to track is that the same 'naked' comment will work 9 out of 10 times and then suddenly crash, with nothing odd in the logs yet (except a repeated call for a None reference in the SD Player script that I haven't figured out how to plug yet).

 

I wonder how Bethesda devs could work on scripts with these baked events in Saves without building a way to purge them (or at least, force the save to use the version on the drive and not in the save when a change is detected).

I see several mentions of this Sexlab Version of SD, but where do i find it? Is it an esp? Right now im having major conflicts with SL Defeat and SD. It seems like Sexlab Defeat kicks in before SD, so I never get enslaved anymore :/

As for Defeat in combo with SD: Set Defeats HP higher than SDs one. With the next version of defeat, you can specify an area of health. Below the set amount, SD should be setup to kick in.

But defeated should go first than, as else both mods may fire up again.

 

1. SD, 2. Defated = to fast loss in health and SD + Defated kick in

1. Defeated, 2. SD = to fast loss in health and Defeated skipped - SD kicks in, else you step down the HP until SD kicks in ... or you die, as the attacking faction is not supported by SD

@CGI _ I don't mind. It was at page 96 of this thread if anyone needs to see the chatter at the time. I did not post it by the way. It was @somename.sn.

 

@DSXX _ The port to SL is a hack that requires both Sexis and SexLab. It seems to be working fine but I will let @somename.sn comment on the potential of scripting errors :)

 

On another note, I figured out the source of the long list of errors in my log related to the SD player script, so I can finally move past that issue and look at something else for a change.

Rather than mod "Live Another Life" why not make your own version that includes just the new scenarios you wanted. If you can't make your own starting cell I'd bet someone here will be willing to build it for you and since I think the gist of the new starting scenarios will be somewhat different have them pray to Sanguine instead of Mara to initiate.

 

One scenario I was thinking of (but was waiting for SD2 since I think it will provide a nice framework) is for you to be a newly trained exotic dancer destined for the court of Whiterun and Yarl Balgruuf (he has the best place for that I believe) where you will be expected to perform publically for his court and for him privately. During your off times you will be allowed to "entertain" guests on your own and ultimately raise the money to buy your freedom. Later it could be expanded to include Solitude, Windhelm, Riften and Markarth as possible starting courts but the Yarls living in modified Inns just don't have the space or prestige to warrant an exotic dancer.

 

I was thinking that at first you would dance publically in skimpy but non-revealing outfits. In private you would get the choice of wearing the same outfit (offending the Yarl), semi-reviling outfits (positive response from the Yarl), semi nude (pleasing the Yarl) or nude (greatly pleasing the Yarl). After each private dance for the Yarl (maximum two each day) you would get the chance to ask the Yarl if you should dance again, proposition the Yarl, do nothing more or insult him (you can figure out his responses). After the private dances are done (and assuming you didn't proposition him) the Yarl may request sex from you and you can accommodate him or refuse him.

 

You also get the same opportunities when you entertain a guest of your own in private but if you offer more to a guest than you do to the Yarl word will get back to him and that will also anger the Yarl. The difference is that guests pay more for more and less for less instead of get more or less angry with you.

 

If the Yarl reaches a certain point of anger you will suddenly lose the more modest outfits for your public (and private) dances.

Anger him more and you will dance nude in public and private.

Anger him further and you will get to dance to a whip in public and private.

At his most angry you will loose the privilege of private guests and will spend you "free time" naked in a cage in the main hall.

On the other hand the more pleased the Yarl is with you the more guests you can entertain in private each day (maximum three guests) and at his most pleased he will also pay you for your services like a guest.

 

The overall idea though is that you could work your way to freedom just by dancing and without having any sex but having sex with the Yarl and your guests would be much quicker.

@WaxenFigure - I have ideas for other starting scenarios (which would warrant a standalone module), but I went down the road of modding Alternate Start for convenience. Setting up a new branch of options seems too ambitious compared to the time I can afford.

 

Eventually, I would like to set up a whole 'start in servitude' branch with options such as start in jail, start in a Falmer holding pen (instant Estrus Chaurus :) ), start as a slave for a bandit or working at an inn.

 

To do it right, the difficulty comes from adding the proper quests adjustments to send you back on track for the main quest.

 

@CGI - No problem :) Glad to answer questions about it in the absence of 'somename.sn'. I can't answer too much though as I applied his scripts changes to my own customized version of SD instead of using his archive.

i have a problem with the animation 

the problem is in every time i have sex with the master the animation is not happening my character and the master just stand still and do nothing , i can hear the sound

Make sure you have all the "Requirements" that this mod requests (first post) and make sure you run FNIS after installing to update the animations from ZaZ / SexiS mods.
