rb813 Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 I recently came across a modder on Patreon who does create-a-sims of real people (mostly women), and I just got done going through their back-catalog and downloading all the characters that I was interested in. One thing I found really refreshing is how the modder had downloads of a zip file with the character and all the other CC items that they used to make it look the way they wanted. I downloaded more than 40 of this person's creations; it would've taken so much longer to do that if I'd needed to download each CC item for each character individually. Of course, 40 is a lot already, but I'm trying to reach a specific round number of characters, so I want to get about twenty more. But now that I've had a taste of the convenient life, I'd rather not go back to the usual way of having to download each item one by one. Can anyone recommend some modders that make beautiful women in Sims 4, that have all-in-one downloads? It doesn't have to be real people, and I don't mind paying a few bucks for Patreon access as long as they do good work.
erplederp Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 I may be asking the obvious, but have you checked the sims download section? I think most people upload in the all-in-one style here.
rb813 Posted February 15, 2020 Author Posted February 15, 2020 I have browsed the downloads here now and then, and there definitely are some high quality sims, but I feel like there's a lot of lower-quality ones to sift through as well. Do you have any specific creators you'd recommend (other than yourself, of course)?
2cool4u_1 Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 It's a matter of taste, I suppose. If you're looking for more Maxis-like sims (non-alpha) I'd definitely recommend the following (although you've most likely seen it).
rb813 Posted February 15, 2020 Author Posted February 15, 2020 It's kinda the opposite for me, I tend to prefer the customs that look a bit more lifelike. This is an example of the kind of stuff I go for.
Elsalovescocaine Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 honestly people do that, due to several sizes generated by packing a sims 4 file from gallery , every item used on that character is packed, you may ends with 200, 300mb or even 1gb for a household, and no one wanna download 300 mb per sim, I recomend you to pick similar CC ,get the most important thing tray files, and redecor by yourself. always gonna save you time and protect your game, a lot of times people pack by accident older version of script mods. ending with their saves , or game damaged after have installed that full cc pack which comes with tray files, without read.

I don't mind downloading 200-900 MB sims. All the duplicate content is a little bit annoying. Content Creators often do not provide direct download links and downloading all CC may take ages.

Xd, be careful with duplicate content, people hit replace all, and never read, some CC is just an older version of the duplicated one. When you compare packages one said from 2015, and other one it’s 2017 same thing.

I like sims by these modders (just to name a few, in no particular order): @mrrakkonn @IGI 2000 @deathbywesker @BigHerpDerp @SimsLOVERGorila @Jeleme45 @porkybork @LittleDoxy The different styles and looks are interesting. There are a lot of pretty sims on thesimsresource.com (mostly the make-up heavy super-model look, from what I can see), but these do not come with the CC and I tend to agree with you that it is usually not worth the effort/time to individually download the mods.

And some package names make it impossible to tell who the author or what the content is. Also here creators often miss the chance to use good names like '(ww/ll_)user_lot/cas/..._description_date/version.zip' for their stuff. Also recolores which require SP/EP0x are evil. So far TS4 is still running and in fall I'll likely not upgrade to TS5. Even though it looks very good.

You also face the problem of having broken or outdated cc. I never understood why people put script mods in cc folders anyways.

Part of the explanation for that is that alot of sim/lot creators just use the export function of Tray Importer and don't check the created archives to see what it contains as regards duplicates, script mods that may have been logged by Tray Importer and the like. It means I take alot longer than others to put together a sim upload but I don't use Tray Importer for the export the export function I use it to be able to locate the packages within my mods folder that I then copy over to the mods folder for the sim I'm uploading, another thing I do is deliberately leave out specific CC, typically body mods that I use that might get updated so I don't supply an old version of those and various other CC (especially skin details and such) that are shared between many of my sims that I put in a separate archive in my collection. I also use the "find on google" function to be able to put up a link to the creator's page in a CC credits section, which works both as that and helps my awareness of where I got stuff from, since I often get questions from people just curious about what piece of CC this and that sim is using, and it just so happens that because of this I can nearly always find a link quickly. So even though all this means I take longer to put together my sim uploads than some others, I think it's worth it in the end.

I agree 100%. I've downloaded less than 10 custom sims, not from here, and found lose files included such as: Old WW script files Old Wild Guys FBD Default bodies Skins And many other duplicates of cc makeup and clothing Some of these, if not found and removed, will cause big problems with the game.

I just said people might want to be careful about replace all duplicated content without check it first, I know best sims are in foreigner pages, japanese links have the best ones. as you can check on sims 4 help and support 80% of post are about bad cloned or replaced CC with older versions killing that people game xd.
