Ramses Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 It's fast and clean, can't ask for more. Before the change, I had ~400+ likes in ~300+ posts. Also lost my referrer count, I had a couple of dozen. Those are gone forever?
myuhinny Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Seems content under profile is acting up again. There is nothing under profile for posts and threads again. But if I find a post that I did click my name go to profile then click posts it will show my last 6 posts that I had done but nothing more. Not sure if there was a update or not or if something is acting up.

Did anyone else have all of there read threads reset, to where EVERYTHING was shown as unread? T_T And also, the site doesn't appear to be showing who is browsing a thread anymore, which makes my voyeuristic tendencies very sad.

Ashal Posted March 9, 2013 Author Posted March 9, 2013 Database side tracking of read/unread, as well as "users browsing this forum" have both been disabled to save some sql use, as both relied on using JOIN queries that didn't join on indexes, which causes large full table scans when viewing the majority of the pages on the site (1 or 2 of you may have understood that...) the result is high IO usage on the SQL server going insane, and that needs to be reined in before it becomes a much more serious problems. You'll still track normally from this point on, though I have noticed it's a little finicky about marking some stuff as read, the main thing is now it'll be tracked client side in a cookie instead of on the database. The major downside is now it won't persist between different browsers or computers, which I'd consider pretty minor considering the trade off of server resources it saves.

The icon for notifications is a bell, and I thought there might be the option to turn on an associated bell sound to let me know when I've got one.

Though it would be nice to have notifications for when your post is quoted, and not just liked. edit: nvm, I'm in full derp mode.

Does anyone know how to keep tabs or follow they're own posts without having to go through all the threads to find my specific replies or topics?

By default you'll get a notification when somebody quotes you.

Someone92 Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 The support topics now directly link the the download page, not the the mod's entry in the download area; currently there's not way to get directly from the download page back to the mod's entry so clicking on the top row LoversLab -> Downloads -> Oblivion -> Lovers with PK -> Mod's name and/or "Downloading file: Mod's name" should direct you back to the mod's entry.
