astor Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 I can't imagine trying to play with an ENB. My framerate is already crap.
Guest Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 I have a bad stutter problem. I don't believe it's GPU related though.

Oh, I was wrong). These are not screenshots from ENB-these are screenshots from Reshade and SweetFX.I just forgot.that I haven't used ENB for a long time, but only Reshade. Reshade does not lower the FPS at all, but only improves the image. You can try it Reshade and SweetFX 1
ranfaireye Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 Good Day! I don't have AFT nor XDI but I have this Mod Companion Command and Tactics (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11784?tab=description). Was just wondering if the scripts in this affects Ivy. I love this mod but I love Ivy's content even more and I don't want to miss out on any of it. Can someone help me with this? I have no knowledge with scripting whatsoever so.

As far as I see, the script in that mod (that I'm also using) only handles the companion command orders and attaches them to hotkeys. I don't think there's conflicts. Basically it's the same as the NX-2C Remote Command Signal, combined with the distance settings in the NX-2C Controller Holotape and extra buttons for "trade" and "stay." Uhm … I might have experienced minor glitches with commands directed to Ivy when using that mod's hotkey, rather than Ivy's personal one, but that may have been user mistakes. I have no clue if the distance thing works, as Ivy runs around so much that I can never tell which distance is set. ? Haven't tested "trade," yet. ? I'd say, don't use that mod's hotkey for addressing Ivy to give her orders (or disable the mod's first hotkey as long as Ivy's your companion), use her aid item or that one's hotkey/favorite instead. I don't think there will be issues if you use the direct commands for "trade," "distance" and "stay/follow." (Though I have noticed 'conflicts' between the latter one and the same command given via dialogue for other companions. Like, they stay even when prompted to follow when been told the same via the vanilla command and similar.) 1

Two updates: It really seems that it was input error, and there's no conflict between commanding her via either of the two options. Trade works with the hotkey. Now I wish there were in fact two separate things for these: to have quick control over both, Ivy (or any other regular companion) and everyone's best friend …
compleCCity Posted February 14, 2021 Posted February 14, 2021 Question (that could go into Walkthroughs & Gameplay Help as well): I've barely made it out of Sanctuary Hills, now … and got a radiant quest of Ivy's to go kill one of her customers – at the completely opposite end of the world, far down in the southeasternmost corner of the map, on the wreck of the FMS Northern Star. Hmph… Does delaying this (or a similar quest) – for obvious reasons – also delay progress with her affinity and other quests?

You can wait until you are a higher level and closer to that place. 1

AIucardd Posted February 14, 2021 Posted February 14, 2021 Wow, thank you. Now this companion became integral part of my modlist. Now every time I installing new mod, I'm checking is it compatible with Ivy. This mod requires only XDI and don't support full dialogue interface? Well, screw that mod then. This mod adding cool new follower? Why, I already have Ivy, thank you very much. The problem for me - I'm also love Sim Settlements II and I was thinking about installing Depravity and Project Valkyrie for my second playthrough. When I had to add Jake as follower during SSII questline I was conserned that it will break Ivy somehow. And I think Depravity and Project Valkyrie have same kind of forced followers (well, not "forced", but I think you know what I mean), so I think those mods will bring some problems. If I understood correctly, in 6.0 you adding own companion mod for Ivy compatibility. That whould be great, I didn't played this game with original companions, and now when I found your mod, I can't just dismiss and replace Ivy - she feels much more interesting than any of the original companions. Edit: I was browsing forum, and now thinking, What is shared dialogue topics? Because, to be honest, I like XDI better than FDI. And turns out XDI is not hard incompatibility, but only breaks shared dialogues. Edit 2: Ok, I installed XDI to check this. Regular dialogue options seems fine (but it show full dialogue , and you have to guess what it was in Full dialogue interface ex: "I don't love you anymore" now shows like :"you know, blah blah blah, I just don't feel like this about you", or something like that). Service menue is just broken - character says: "Yeah" for erotic services, "that'd be great" for black jack and "tell me more" for memory part. I guess I can just remember what each answer does, but I suspect I can screw myself over because of this (Debby can ask something, and I won't see what your answer will mean) 1

Short version, FDI good. XDI bad.
MeJimmy Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 This probably sounds dumb but how do I change her outifts/armor? I do not get any kind of trade dialogue that opens her inventory. Do I have to do that with console commands or did I miss something in the holotape? I have done playthroughs with earlier Ivys and stuff like went like vanilla companions. Thanks Ivy is the best - I know I am doing something wrong but I just cannot figure it out.

Ivy like most companions, in my experience has two dialogue menus. There's the default you get when up close, but if you back away a bit and engage her you should see the "go"/"stay" option under her name. When you see that, just approach her and the Trade option should show when you get close to her.

Yeah that is what I thought but I have tried that dozens of times from all distances that allow to engage her dialogue but just does not happen. When I hover crosshairs over her I have the E talk prompt and each time it opens up her conversation. I down loaded the version with the magazines - maybe I should try the one without them as I saw an earlier comment about that one with magazines has some issue. For now, until I figure it out, the openactorcontainer console command works for me so she at least now has a weapon. ***EDIT*** problem solved. I did not talk with Dogmeat before entering the cellar. I think greeting Dogmeat sets the companion command set up. Whether that is correct or not by doing that I now get E Command when crosshair is on Ivy and can "trade" with her.
Blazedstr72 Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 Would it be possible to get a patch for Ivy to work with Horizon? She seems to work fine, but she doesn't level up as normal with Horizon. I know for custom companions to work with Horizon they have to have keyword CKW_Hired added to them, but I'm not quite savvy enough to be able to do that.
MeJimmy Posted February 16, 2021 Posted February 16, 2021 Just activated Ivy's hypercombat. All I can say is glad she is on my side. 1

It absolutely added a sense of character that fit into her own lore. That being said. The new VA is amazing. Absolutely amazing. The 1st time, I plugged into the author's Live Stream testing Version 6's new voiced lines, on his Discord Server, I was blown away. My 1st thought when I heard Ivy speak, was "That's Serana!" I'm not kidding when I say, Ivy sounds like a Serana but sexier. (Serana never tries to be....odd for a Vampire, but meh)
