Could you define and listen for a mod event to reduce resistance next update? Would make it much easier to patch other mods to cause resistance loss.

Resistance loss is already in 2.06 and I believe that SLS/STA supports it, or will on next update.

ohhhh i had thought it was just me having the problem i finaly found a cheat out of it.i just dont understand how a follower can put it on and not be able to take it back off.((p.s the trick is add item and grab a mass amount of keys and just keep trying lol))

Refused, or simply failed?

 

The problem I see is the follower goes "ok" and then removes nothing.

It does now! or at least it overwrites the TAWoBA boots with my stuff.

 

...I think? I'm not super confident that I did everything right, but the overwrite was working in my game.  Let me know if you have any problems with it.

 

Also no iron boots, because I haven't made them yet.

The issue I had was no UUNP.

There is a guide on the Bodyslide site I think... I've done some UUNP conversions myself. It's time consuming, but it's not hard...

Well... Unless the mesh is fundamentally tricky and needs to fit close at a wide range of sizes, then you can end up tweaking vertex positions and it takes forever and the Outfit Studio interface starts to feel like an obstacle.

 

For boots, it's probably not hard, but still takes time.

if it's possible, i have 1 quadrillion gold debt and i have two options: either pay 1000 gold each or do deals for free. is it possible to increase the amount of gold you can pay debt off? also i accrued that much debt trying to get enslaved, so if you need any of my papyrus logs to see what's going on that front i can contribute some of those.

The conversions are done and they appear to work in my game, make sure you have the most up to date version of my mod, the older versions did not support UUNP.

Last night I did another pass over the follower framework integrations.

NFF is particularly problematic as it's actively developed, and any patch will require maintenance.

 

I think the "correct" way to do it going forward may be to make it so that DF followers are NOT followers in the regular sense.

 

This is a surprisingly limited change (in some ways) because DF uses the regular follower alias for very little, and has its own master alias that it uses for almost everything. In that case, DF followers could still be imported into NFF, and NFF would not support dismiss mechanics for them because they aren't followers.

 

However, it breaks everything that isn't NFF, without specific support, but that's fixable.

 

It's annoying to see I am going to have to redo the entire thing from scratch at some point* so NFF can work reliably going forward.

It would also fix hirelings once and for all.

 

In that setup, DFs would be placed explicitly into EFF or AFT, so they'd still work.

DF would also support multi-follower with no framework.

 

Alas, I didn't do this, but I learned a valuable lesson about life :) or more accurately, follower framework integration.

 

* Not right away though. Maybe never :)

Thanks for the progress update!  Can you clarify whether the DF will be treated as a teammate (GetPlayerTeammate is true)?

For 2.07 and probably a good while, followers will be added as regular followers, so they should be.

But if DF were managing them itself, is there any reason not to add them?

None at all.  Having DFs as teammates should help other mods respond to them properly, so that's good.  It just wasn't clear how far having DFs as "NOT followers in the regular sense" would go.

I don't think the liquid medicine agreement is appropriate,And the identity exchange between followers and dragonborn

I would like to contact Ineed - food water and sleep - continue,Followers think of characters as toilets,And No Food or Drink or No urination and defecation.

Hope to change the agreement into time limit and permanent,For example, seven days, thirty days, forever.

I hope I can help with the previous followers - continued.

This module is my favorite module. I was disappointed when I stopped updating before I knew it. Thank you for continuing.

I tried to investigate RDO incompatability bug, but I didn't find one.

I tried the existing DF 2.06 with RDO and it was fine.

 

If anyone has a specific complaint about something wrong when using RDO (maybe you can dismiss or gain followers somehow?)

I think RDO has some special followers of its own. Are they not working correctly with DF?

Hey Lupine, I want to avoid using other follower mods that may conflict with yours, was wondering if you would consider adding in these features some day:

 

  • Make follower stay back and follow at a distance / revert to normal distance
  • Make follower passive, so they avoid all combat / revert to normal aggression

Stuff similar to that, where you can change those settings via a dialog option with them.

 

Thanks for the excellent mod!

EFF, NFF and AFT dont cause much issue, you can use them alongside with DF. Lupine is already working on the few issues that are caused by a conflict

EFF is better than AFT for compatibility, has been around forever, and just generally works well. NFF works well, but is internally something of a mess and is constantly updated with a lot of fluff. The version I tried is probably one of the older ones still available, so if you want to try it, see if you can follow the changes made and go with the oldest version you can find that doesn't have major bugs.
