I roleplay hard... I let my PC have some armor, a melee weapon and one firearm, ammo, and food/water for 3 days - on a hot key.  adjust carry weight so I am a realistic total weight of not much above that... it is Nora, right?

 

Then I have a bat that takes off the pipboy - no cheating, no storage of much.  I also use Immersive Gameplay so no special loot - no legendaries.  I do have Backpacks... which, if I have, I can carry more drugs, etc.  when I either have not begged enough, run out of food, etc, then I allow my PC to re-equip for another 3 days and then unequip again.  MCG beds cost 50 caps, so Nora has to make enough to get a room, or keep begging... 

 

Just adds a complexity I think adds a bit more realism...

 

And if friendlies go hostile, well, then they attack, Violate, and the sundry. (meaning consequences for not begging for food etc. and not stealing).  And with no pipboy, I cannot tell when or how many caps I have, no map, no ability to grab anything I want.  Lose clothes?  Well, lost until I can re-equip pipboy - of course, disabling BeggarWhore reequips Pip-boy, but when in Raider territory or Gunner... bad, bad, idea.

EDIT:  Have not tried it, but will in a new run after 1.08 :)  is if Nora is cuffed, can she still eat "off the floor" … and if someone had a shock collar controller, etc etc... sounds rather humiliating... j/s

UPDATE:

 

Yeah... I'm gonna need a little more time. I'm adding a lot of interesting new wrinkles Especially for Girl-girl which was really needed given the lack of animations. I even managed to work in scissoring in a way that works for me immersively. (which is a feat... I think scissoring is pretty dumb honestly ? )

Not that I'm offering to do anything Obviously I have more than enough on my plate! but this gave me a crazy idea. I wonder if it'd be possible to make a PIPBOY replacement with much more limited functionality that is worrn in an item slot like the Hardship menu.

 

You could use it to open the player's actor container.... but maybe there's a way you could only show certain types of items? (I dunno) Or I know even better have a virtual container that could be your "backpack" or "pockets" That you could access only if wearing a backpack item. or a coat. and the items could be coded to be "used" or "Equipped" on removal? and automatically added to the backpack (up to a carry weight set in a config... doesn't even need to be tied to the real one) whenever you pick up anything in game

 

Hmmm though the latter would fuck with other mods "get itemcount" conditions and such.

 

Just a crazy thought.

I like it … as a destitute beggar... though, the only issue with leaving beggar on all the time and not pulling a weapon, which you end up dying/reviving/Violate - is Supermutants… yes, I run... 

 

But, a limited item... food, clothes, drugs... and that's about it... maybe even a lock that once BW is enabled, you are "stuck" with this for … say, 1 to 3 ingame days?

 

Also, had another thought as well.... 

 

Raider: Hey, boss, boss... remember that pretty thing we found in alley way last week?

Boss: Yeah, a sweet morsel.

Raider:  Word is she is in the neighborhood.

Boss:  Oh?  Where?

Raider: Sighted over at Bunker Hill (insert location/settlement)….

Boss:  Boys, saddle up.  We need to go have a little talk with the Mayor over there... see if the Mayor can convince that pretty thing to play "hostess" for a party.  Won't tear up the town.  Be civil boys, we have a party girl to go see... maybe pickup some food and booze while at it.

 

In BW, Nora is safe with settlers/vanilla people and Raiders... Raiders would be friendly to the Bunker Hill people (insert settlement)… Relaxation/idle/spawn markers placed for Raiders to hang around for 1 to 3 days (Raider Pet scenario - not in boss location but like one can be in the wild) …. of course, Nora could just leave... but, I am sure there would be some consequences.... MCG has expelling from settlement if infamy over 100... etc... I think overarching idea is that Nora has a reputation and if a group is close, but not menacing type distance, roll chance of visitation... or just a random event.... 

 

And thinking... eat off floor, put on collar, handcuffs now a hard requirement soon?, kneel, Isabella... hmmmm

I got it.

 

Enable beggar whore unequip pipboy.   Disable requip  

 

Give player another item like the "get mirror"  which would be a container you put things in before enabling beggar whore.  

 

Except it isnt a take function.   It would be a consume function. si basically equip the food item or equip the drink or the chem. ..

A container that cant be robbed. A beggars stash. But a a limit on numbers or weight si people dont throw everything in it.

 

 

Or eat off the floor.  Eating off the floor and saving the stash for emergencies would be best.  Because if you over consumed the stash before the allotted time without eating off floor, you will go hungry thirsty.  Or disable bw...  which if you are in hostile territory would be a very bad idea.  And with everything good robbed from you... means attacked escape or violate which then can lead to CSA.  Which is hours of captivity round round Robin.

 

If you and @Flashy (JoeR)knew how much better of a tactical shooter I am now, or strategy in playing the game, before bw, I would never get caught.  I would get to level 20 and start over again because way too easy. I have added combat stalkers, NPC Travellers and now Immersive Gameplay and it is pushing back hard. So either I get even better or the consequences or punitive.

EDIT:  or if one has @Flashy (JoeR) advanced needs, then either use his auto consume function or his function could call the beggars stash. Just food and drinks.  One can eat of the floor chems they find. Or alchohol along the way. Because if you are a junkie, you wouldn't carry them with you and not use them.  Finding a chem and consuming on the spot seems far more immersive. 

 

Mostly the beggars stash is for the those days if when you cant get food. Cuffed abducted etc and robbed of everything.  A safeguard. 

 

And if you enable bw then turn disallow unabling for a day or 3 or look for the "well rested" perk. Which means the whore got a full night sleep.   Either way, time elapses and can be punitive due to other "needs" if you try and trick it...

 

And @Flashy (JoeR)may be a great MA, he sucks at shooting. :)

Since this update is taking longer than I expected, (ideas are running away with me) I thought I'd at least give you a small preview of the level of interaction I'm adding to the sex scenes. with this series of images:

As you can imagine making 2 version of every option, plus faction specific lines, as well as the various outcomes for yes and no. is taking a lot of time. So far I have all the scripts for rape and a decent amount of the girl-girl script done. I appreciate your patience and promise you it'll be well worth the wait.

 

Oh, and in the companion/teammate script? They'll say your character's name in scenes like this because it's a more intimate relationship.

I use Rename Anything to give names to Settlers.  I didn't see any issues with earlier versions of Hardship but the last few versions when I interact with a settler who has been re-named they are reverting to Settler during the conversation and afterwards their name in game has changed to settler.  Does anyone know why this is happening and if there is a simple way to prevent it?

Hmmm.... It's just using Getname() and then writing that as a string. and so far only for Pimps and companions.  I'd have no idea how that could affect rename anything, But I also don't know diddly about F4SE. 

 

I did anticipate that when Hardship calls Getname() it'd be the original name thats displayed. I noticed that was the case in the past with NPCs who's names were changed with Jaxon's renamer in skyrim, but there's nothing that can be done about that. That's the main reason I'm limiting the Getname() calls mainly to characters that I know are unique (except things like hired gunners who you can have companion sex with when they follow you)

I tried this with Rename Anything on a Unique Settler spawn and you're right, they reset as soon as the interaction started.  However, I rarely use Rename Anything on settlers because Immersive Settlers renames them automatically and their names don't get changed by HARDSHIP.  Also, interestingly enough, Rename Anything wasn't able to change the name of a settler named by Immersive Settlers.

I took the night off cause I really bit off a lot here. and need to blow off some steam. The FF, script came out really good though so I'm pretty excited to dig into the rest tomorrow.

 

Beyond the next update: I'm having a lot of crazy exciting ideas for the Male Master NPC. He will almost certainly have a much more elaborate quest than any of the existing pimps. The experience should be very different based on the trait and history settings the player chooses. I've never really done a complete quest mod. (DLYH counts barely) and generally shy away from using quests for most things so should be interesting.

Firts post here, but i need to thanks tentacus for this mod

 

Played it from release. One of the best, adult or not, from a rpg perspective i ever played. For me sex scenes in the mod are nearly a (very good) bonus. You can play it only wiht message boxes and it still be great.

 

Again many thanks for create and share it, and for all the work you done and stiil doing.

 

For being constructive, about the changing name of settlers, i use M.C.G. and can confirm that the rename system of this mod works 100% with Hardshit... Problem is in MCG you have a list of names to choose, cant write your own names. This works fine for me , because i simple find unimmersive have a bunch of people called settlers, but really dont mind what normal name they have (if they have a ugly name this is their parents fault, not me! XD) (MCG also add great functions that works amazing for a BW playthrough, like the wear system)

 

Cant wait to see your next updates, as said i play the mod from release and every update makes it even better ?

I think GetDisplayName() will give you names edited by rename anything. It's a F4SE function btw.

Ooooh... That's interesting. I don't remember seeing that when I skimmed the F4SE functions in the past, but I only started using strings extensively in Hardship like 3-4 versions ago.

Yeah, he'll definitely whore you out, but I want it to be a lot different somehow, though I'm not sure how yet. It's going to be real NC slavery though unlike Isabel.

Thanks. I think you are really gonna love the next update. I think it finally achieves what I had in mind when I first got the idea to use the messageboxes.

Not to derail this thread, but the post was here, so I'll reply as such.

 

This post inspired me to create a new expansion to Advanced Needs 2 - a rebalancer intended for those, like you, who prefer a more realistic and hardened approach to playing. Lowering carry weight to base 10 lbs and then adding 10lbs per STR point. Modifying Strongback perk to reduce carry weight modifications from +25/+50 to +10/+20. Also, lower damage resistance on the head body part so that headshots literally kill you. Stuff like this. Working on it now, actually, as I need a distraction from the complex coding I need to undertake to finalize a section of Crime and Punishment, that I am putting off because it is so complex, lol.

 

I think this expansion I am working on will pair well with your preferred style of play but also with the tone and settings of Hardship. :)

Hardship is an awesome mod.  A great work done and paired with yours brother, realistic immersion is possible.  

 

I look forward to the next updates, the mail es dom as well.

 

Though the defiler is more my cup of tea, but this is just the other side of the coin.

UPDATE:

 

Okay guys. As long as I'm doing all the crazy shit in this update I'm also adding a few more sound functions made (mostly) of Vanilla sounds, so there should be a little more variety to the Ooohs, ahhs and owwws without adding any more file size.

 

Actually using Vanilla sound effects is super handy. For instance the cum spurt sound in Hardship is just a few bloatfly darts played in rapid succession :)
