What is the next game should I play?

I love Skyrim, but I am getting tired of doing it over and over.  I played Witcher 3 and liked it a lot although not as much as Skyrim or Oblivion.  I played Fallout 4 and liked it it too, but again not as much as Skyrim.  I loved the old Thief game.  I've played Mass Effect, World of Warcraft, Morrowind,  and the old Conan MMO.  Liked them all to one degree or another.  I've played lots of other games and dumped them after a few hours of play because their graphics were shit or the world was too constricting or the story sucked.

I have looked at many of the game sites looking for inspiration, but hoping a Skyrim / Witcher 3 fan would recommend something.

While we wait for till next April for Cyberpunk and who knows how long till the next Beth game, what games are recommended?  I am mostly interested in open world RPGs with reasonable to good graphics and a good story line like Witcher 3 and Skyrim.

Dragon's Dogma

Kingdom of Amalur

Dragon's Dogma is strange in that people either really like it, or they fuckin' hate it. But no other game makes me nervous in the dark like it does and the combat is top notch. Not sure if Capcom will pull their head out of their ass and make a long overdue sequel.

KoA is fun for about 20 hrs and then I have to put it on the shelf for another year or so. There might be a new KoA spinoff in the works since THQNordic bought the rights to it a year or so ago.

I'm enjoying both playing and making mods for Oblivion right now. It's fantastic that so many of those authors opened permissions for their mods.

I might suggest one of the latest Assassin's Creed entries.

Different community, different times. It was also the beginning of the end along with Gmod though.

I remember shit like people trying to get Tessera to charge for his melf skin on a weekly basis.

Dragon's Dogma is on GOG with all the DLC & etc so I might look at that.

Not keen on anything that's on Steam so KoA is out.

Gog's MP community is dead. (might wanna research before replying with a rote answer)

Kingdom Come is alright, but it's not an rpg experience in the traditional sense and there's no roleplaying going on; it's a combat simulator with leveling and "branching" outcomes that are pretty much yes/no affairs.

Dragon's Dogma, as mentioned previously. Base game is somewhat generic western fantasy while Dark Arisen content is grimdark and more difficult (also IMO much better). Be prepared to hear 'aught' a whole lot.

If you aren't afraid of eurojank, ELEX. Gothic 2 if you aren't afraid of older games.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Horizon: Zero Dawn if you have PS4. Days Gone too.

Not open world but might interest you: Prey (2017). Was my personal GOTY. Roguelite Mooncrash DLC wasn't that interesting though.

Enderal: Forgotten Stories. It might be a Skyrim total conversion but it's a whole different game.

Final Fantasy XV.

I liked MGS5. Open-world is pretty damn big, missions are challenging and tactics make a difference. Story is not bad, characters are well- thought out/interesting. No reloading to a save point from a minute ago in this one, you either get it right or start all over. Vehicles like tanks are a blast to use. Graphics, music tracks and sound effects are good. Not sure what the mods are like for it.

I've never been interested in MP games so I don't care about that.  I would be buying Dragon's Dogma to play as a stand alone single player game.

Like I said, you might wanna research before declaring your allegiance to a nonexistent country.

sims 4 is good for modders of your caliber.

Plus I don't know what any of those other games are.

Plus, sims 4 needs better modders generally, and you could shit a mod everyone would think is as good or better than what's mostly out there.

except maybe wickedwhims and the porn channel

(and anything I subscribe to, and present company excepted)

I don't think you checked throughly enough what MP in DD means. No, you aren't playing with other players in any case, it's something completely different.

Thats not really multiplayer in any aspect, nor really matters that much.

Arisen do majority of the job and pawns are stupid :P

Only if you hire the stupid ones and/or leave your pawn to be stupid. Inclinations are huge part of making pawns do actual work or even carry you and 99% of people playing ignore them or set them as guardian/nexus which are literally the worst inclinations you could ever give them.

There are pawns who can solo Daimon and then there are pawns who just stand next to you and die.

I will never buy it, but this has other reasons, I hate subtitles!
It does not matter how good a game is, when the developers are so lazy and only want to earn money, but invest nothing because there is only one voice output *english*!
then every game developer, which does this, must renounce on my money and I have a lot of it! :classic_wink:

I think someone made a German voice-over mod for it. If I find it, I'll let you know.

the graphic are not decisive, if the whole game is absolute shit!
For this reason I prefer older games, like Diablo, Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, The Witcher Series and many more.
