[mod] Sexbound Defeat

I'm having an issue where Defeat isn't working properly.  Everything works fine when I defeat an enemy, but when I am defeated, the UI doesn't present any selectable options, and the climax bars don't fill, and the enemy never climaxes.  I didn't see anything in the log that indicated why this should be.  Is this a known bug, and if so, is there a fix?  I believe I should be using the most recent versions of both Sexbound and Defeat.  This issue also happens for Teratophilia Defeat as well.

 

Edit:  Well, I guess I was wrong.  They do climax, I guess I just rolled low when I was testing the mod (I had set player sexnode duration to generate a random spread).  Increasing the base time seems to have fixed that part, at least.  Still, the other part of my question stands:  Is there a hotfix to not being able to select positions when defeated by enemies?

I wanted to add something that I've discovered while testing this mod.  I had said earlier that I was unable to access the Sexbound UI at all while defeated, even with the option turned on.  I have found that while in the defeat state, I can interact with the sexbound node of myself, which causes me to join the sexual interaction, giving me access to the UI, but also turning sex into a weird 3-way between myself, my sexnode, and the enemy that defeated me.  This leads me to believe that there's something screwy going on when a sexnode is generated, that causes the game to think that the player is a separate entity from the sexnode being generated of them.  I don't know if anybody else has reported this, I went back a few pages and didn't see anything, but I thought it was worth mentioning, in case a solution could be derived from this.

I think yoru had a translation patch for defeat that caused it to stop working, so maybe try editing that out?

Does anyone know if there is a way to set player so that they are always on the receiving end after defeat ? and if it's possible to completely turn off enemies surrendering after kill.

Is there any way to change the chance of " sex nodes" dropping? It's annoying that you have to wait for a monster to die to get the drop. I'm sure that some RNG is present, because some of the monsters just die.

Question, is it possible, to add randomness to the mod? Say i dont want all enemies to be horny on main and turn me into a node, only 5% or so. Is there a setting in the config for thatz or would it be difficult to alter the mod?

I wanted to check in and see if there was a setting to limit defeated opponent transformation into nodes by gender or species? I'm sorry if I missed this question somewhere else in the chat.

I did not see any mods known to cause specifically defeat issues, but i did notice you're using the outdated "Sexbound Futanari 2.8.3", and it will break Sexbound.

Also read "RBx" and discovered someone made a Recipe Browser for Starbound, neato.

Haha I'm glad my mod list helped :)

This mod worked maybe once for me then haven't managed to interact with another creature since

Would happily pay for this to be fixed up and made able to be compatible with more things if it would make it worth the time of the owner.
Been looking at my error log for a while now and its mostly gibberish to me now xD

Sounds like your defeat config is broken! Full log would help detail that, but if you have the Yoru support installed, check their thread!

Fixed it, it was Yoru, I installed the patches and it mostly works now.

Is there any mods to interact with your pets without the need to shoot them with a bow?

is there a way to make the transformation into a sexnode on defeat a bit more forgiving with the environment? Currently i need to make sure i stand on a completely flat surface before getting defeated, else the script just falls back to killing me. I feel like most engagements happen on rough terrain with slopes and a lot of jumping, so i'd like to ask if it's possible to make the script look for a nearby suitable block to make the sexnode on, if the one the entity is currently standing on is not suitable.

I was so busy testing incaomatibilities, irl responsabilities and also making the Novakif assets that I forgot to mention that SxB Defeat isnt working for me.

The only monster that can be defeated are thebigsis and the other from the same mod. The normal monsters just die.

 

And looking at my log I dont find any error or warning.

Yeah you need the defeat patches for them. Otherwise Defeat doesn't do anything for monsters, or at least it's not meant to.
