I have changed my survival mod from INeed to Realistic Need and Disease and Parasites have a conflict with RND.

When Using the voice acid digest.The RND tells me I have eaten a beef stew.
?


Only the Acid Digest have conflicts.The similar stronger Power Acid what (I don’t remember the exact name) works as it is.

I mean perhaps the beef stew is just what she tastes when she eats acid. kind alike how everything taste like chicken

I am force feeding the player beef stew silently to get the food effect. I wasnt expecting RND to rat me out.

i'm not sure if this i the place i should put this but i'm having some trouble with the sexlab dialogues blacksmith quest, i've goten tp the point where alvor asks me to make 5 weapons and armors but after i've made them nothing happens, i checked the debug page and i saw that it counted them weapons i made but none of the armors, has this happened to anyone, do you guy know how to fix it?

edit:i don't know if this matters but i've been making vanilla armors as well as moded one, none were counted

Um, so you integrated all 4 updated esp in the zips linked before?

 

This is a bit confusing - to me - and deleting the zips and then re-posting below the fixes might be more intuitive - esp. because the date-stamp on the zips didn't change. Just sayin'.

Yeah, but DBF had just updated the links on the first post, so this is easier all around for most users who didn't download within a few hours of my post. No need to update the page *again*, or make people search below the linked post.

SLIF required for Node Management in Parasites? I notice with the new update it mentions I don't have NIOverride. Or is there some seperate file to pick up that recognizes SKEE as NIO?

They may or may not work.. I ran into issues with enchantments.

 

As for restoring an enchantment, you might be able to do it by manually restarting the quest in the console. That too is untested.

Have you got Hormones? Parasites can hook into Hormones in the latest releases, which has better SLIF and bodymorph management. I'm unclear if bodymorph is working separately from SLIF. I have all three, and don't see NIO warnings.

 

What was happening when you got the warning? Just looking in the MCM, or was there an event?

The menu options are all grouped together, which kind of makes it confusing if you don't delve into the script that does the scaling to figure out what goes where. I'll leave an explanation here.

 

The "Bodymorphs" selector is a "specifier" for both SLIF and NiO.

 

If it's not selected, then whatever scaling technique hormones is using, will be used for node scaling.

 

If Bodymorphs are selected, and SLIF isn't installed, the mod will directly apply morphs through NetImmerseOverride (it should really be titled "NiO Bodymorphs").

 

It SHOULD be set up such that, if SLIF is installed and bodymorphs are selected, the mod applies the same bodymorphs via SLIF as a compatibility layer.

 

I'm without PC for a few days, so I can't make edits/changes rn. Looking at it with more experience now than when I originally helped write it, I think the SLIF path might be cut off due to some missing conditional checks. I'll try to fix it when I'm back with PC.

Oh, no warning. Just under the debug section it shows SLIF and NIOverride as 0. I remember trawling the thread a few times looking for native SKEE compatibility for Parasites and mostly coming up blank. I tried using SLIF a long time ago and had issues with it fighting other mods. I'm not using Hormones either. Does Hormones SE run without SLIF? It's possible I'd install it just to have Parasites use BodyMorphs.

Take a look at w234aew's response above yours. It should work without hormones, but I know it's been said that the more mature code is in hormones, so that's why the tie in to that mod- to allow the better code to take precedence. If you can't get parasites to work, hormones should work without SLIF.

 

The scripts should all check for skee vs nio now - that was added in sometime back. I don't edit the scripts for that anymore since I have seen the check in several scripts.

 

You can make a change in the skee64.ini which should allow skee to do the same thing SLIF does in theory. This should in theory also prevent SLIF from fighting other mods, since skee should add in SLIF's values along with any mod not using SLIF and calculate out what needs to be set. At least, I've not seen obvious issues between SLIF and SGO4 (which doesn't use SLIF) with these settings - there's no bouncing between breast/belly sizes that I would expect if they're fighting. I've put these in a new file so the custom settings don't get overwritten when racemenu updates.

In spite of using SD Enhanced often with no issue, lately I am getting nothing but a black screen when trying to enter the world. I can go back to an older playthrough with SD on it and the newest versions load and work fine but I can not make a new game with SD on it. Very confusing.  I use MO2 and have a base game set up to start new playthroughs so my mod list is basically the same foundation every new game I start. Has anyone else experienced this and figured out why? NetScriptFramework doesnt register it as a crash so I get no info there. 

Just when I start to think I am getting better at this modding thing....?

If you are reusing a save before leaving the LAL cell, try a true new game where you click New on the main menu. Maybe something went weird upgrading between the save you have set up before starting and the new version. While having a save setup and ready to go for new games is convenient, I've seen where it's not recommended a few times just because of issues that creep in as mods are upgraded.

 

Or try removing SD, saving, then clean the save with fallrim tools, load the game, save again, then add the new SD+.

 

You should also try testing with just SD and it's requirements rather than everything, just to make sure there's no issue with interactions with other mods.

The old save even with upgrade works fine, thats the part I dont get. I have made maybe 5 totally fresh games with Alternate Start or Alternate Perspective and have tried going back to older versions of SD. I will start one with just requirents and see what happens, thanks for suggestions and the conversions.

 

Edit- Alright, I started a game with my foundation (textures and locations mostly) and the minimum for SD and the game loaded. I started adding the mods I have been trying to use a few at a time until I had them all eventually loaded and every time the game started. LOL I give up! I will just try and remember to load SD first on the games I want to use it, thanks again for the idea, whatever works works.

If you've got a lot of mods, I'd recommend starting to use a stepped start up for truly new games when/if you do it again. Load up part of your mods, get them set up, then load more mods and set them up until all mcms are configured. It's the only way i've been able to avoid some weirdness in mods that otherwise work together. Yeah, thats what I do, just normally I save the more complex Sexlab mods until last...well, I always use the same base as it seems really stable and then apply SL mods and a few character enhancers like armor or weapons.

I went back to the save that wouldnt load, unchecked all the SL mods then started SD with its requirements then added the rest of the SL mods I had installed before and everything worked as it should. Problem solved although I am curious why....I am not curious enough to mess with it. ?

well im at a loss. Chaurus worm keeps getting rejected instantly even with the newest version. not sure what could be causing it. Anyone had a simmilar issue and had it solved?

Did you try changing the scale of Parasite events frequency in the menu?

putting flare delay to 0 worked thank you. not sure whatelse it disables but works for now

That's how it is meant to work:

 

0 disables it.

Lower than 1 makes it go faster.

Greater than 1 makes it go slower.

This is going to sound really dumb, but is Family Ties still a hard requirement since it has been changed to white text in the list?

I am a little confused about this question.

 

Family ties has never been a hard requirement to anything.
