I cant bring up any options anymore when i get handcuffed.  used to be i would try to bring up the pipboy and then the the box would pop up asking if i want to inspect or remain locked, but now nothing happens when i try to do things like open map or inventory or anything that used to bring up the box asking me what i wanted to do.  the only thing i can do is console unequip the handcuffs.  any thoughts on what i can do to fix this issue?  thanks in advance.

The Fallsouls mod interferes with the event that pops up that message box. Perhaps you have it installed?

No i do not have that one and the mod used to work just fine now i got nothing...do you think an uninstall and reinstall of the mod would help?

If it were me, I'd check the papyrus script log for clues first rather than blindly uninstalling/reinstalling things. Trying random things in the hopes that they might somehow help is the quickest way to make the situation worse, by introducing even more unknowns into your troubleshooting.

Hey to all!

I hope this question was not answered in this thread - but i'm guilty to not search all 63 pages :(

I have human ressources installed, if i open it in mod config ingame it says real handcuffs plugin is missing.

If i install real handcuffs it gives my a file conflict with AAF (which human ressources says is a requirement).

Is there a way to solve that issue?

Thanks in advance

In the FOMOD installer for RH, disable LLFP installation. AAF also provides a (newer) version of LLFP, which is why your mod manager sees a file conflict.

Thank you very much for the fast answer.

unfortunately it doesn't work for my, since vortex says that the conflict does still perstist.. even after reinstalling both mods. maybe there's a need to remove some files manually?

Funny thing. its working now. i removed real handcuffs, installed just business incl. addon and fallout 4 patch and now it works.

Don't get why, but if someone has the same problem ; this solution worked for me.

Thanks @vaultbait for trying to help!

I don't have Just Business installed, but I have Real Handcuffs 0.4.16 (with LLFP turned off in its FOMOD installer) and AAF V171-0 installed (the latest versions of both). Vortex shows no file conflicts between the two. Maybe you had another file conflict too?

? that's the way to go. Either don't install the LLFP plugin from RealHandcuffs if you already have it from AAF; or just give AAF priority (i.e. let AAF "win" the conflict).

Hi,
can you please make an update for AAF 171?

Update it in what way? RH doesn't need/use AAF.

Or are you talking about the fact that RH embeds a convenience copy of the LLFP library and it's older than the version AAF 171 includes? Just deselect LLFP in RH's FOMOD installer menu, or tell your mod manager to overwrite that file with the version AAF provides.

Yes I was thinking of the LLFP library and I have already deleted the LLFP library files from mods RH. But I think with my update request less to me but to others who might encounter the same problem.
Because if you are new or have little experience with AAF and strictly adheres to the AAF Facking manual you install first the framework and then gamplay mods. and then you hit 100% on this problem. Therefore, an update for mods that use the LLFP library would not be wrong or you specify in the installation instructions that LLFP should be installed after the mod. So mand can also circumvent the problem.

The manual could just recommend deselecting LLFP when installing RH (you don't need to delete anything, it's an install-time option), or setting your mod manager for the right file overwrite order. The manual already addresses file overwrite order for all sorts of other things related to AAF so I don't think that's a stretch. I'd hate to see mod authors who included a convenience copy of LLFP being pressured to update it any time there's a new version in another unrelated mod. Especially since some of the affected mods (not RH) are unmaintained anyway, so the problem will persist indefinitely in those cases.

It's broken, some noob did an incompetent job

What's "it," care to elaborate? If you mean the Real Handcuffs mod, it's working fine for me, so either your game is broken or you need to try harder at reading instructions (and also check your tone, insulting others is never appropriate, least of all mod authors who are sharing their hard work with you, but also a terrible way for a newcomer to this forum to start off their interaction with the community).

It doesn't work with neither vanilla Fo4 or reinstalled.

Real Handcuffs is one of the easiest mods to install. That is assuming you've setup FO4 to be modded.

You only need to have F4SE installed & working then install RH, launch through f4se_loader.exe and enjoy.

It's what I did, the beta version worked fine

Start from a place of humility. Don't assume that just because you can't get something working, it must be broken.

Most of the mods on this forum work pretty well if you have some familiarity with modding FO4 and pay attention to the listed requirements and instructions provided. And Real Handcuffs is one of the most stable and solid mods here.

When you installed it, your mod manager (presumably either MO2 or Vortex) brought up a FOMOD installer menu, right? What options did you select? Note that if you don't have another mod that supplies a copy of the LLFP library, you need to keep the option for that checked in RH's installer menu.

When you installed F4SE, did you make sure to also install its scripts, not just the EXE/DLL files? Note that if you're a Vortex user, you can install F4SE like a normal mod to relieve the manual installation guesswork, just switch its properties to "engine injector" mod type and redeploy (I don't know whether MO2 has a similar feature since I don't use it).

And it hopefully goes without saying, but you should be using the latest versions of F4SE (0.6.23) and Fallout 4 (1.10.163). Fallout 4 needs to be an official copy of the game, not an illegally pirated copy.

I am getting a CTD on launching F4SE with this enabled, Was working before, not sure what I changed. What is the best way to attatch my log?

A missing master is usually the cause, and the log craps out at loading the Plugins.

The only master for RealHandcuffs.esp is Fallout4.esm, but I suppose if you somehow enabled the RealHandcuffs_DD_Compatibility.esp then it also needs TortureDevices.esm and Devious Devices.esm.

I don't understand why the mod cancels the animations aff.

It doesn't, but also it's possible whatever translator you're posting through has mangled your English so I can't be sure I understand your comment.

When installing Real Handcuffs, did you make sure to uncheck the LLFP option in its FOMOD installer menu? The version of LLFP included with Real Handcuffs is much older than the one included the latest AAF version, so can cause problems for AAF.
