Abobasgjf Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Hey. I have a problem with the "A Strange Rock" quest. Spoiler On the last part where you need bring Thotium to Katarina when i give it to her the menu says that this part is completed and she gives me the money and keys but the quest doesnt end. When i try to talk to her again she just repeats the last dialog (with money and key giving) also i think because the quest isnt fully finished Laura says that i should speak with katarina.

Not modder here but mod user: This is probably due to mod lag. For being sure just wait a while after giving the rock to katarina (doing nothing) also get in and out of inventory (tab) and configuration screen (esc) a few times. If it solves the problem then it's that your papyrus can't handle so many mods fast enough. Another symptom of this happening is that character don't start to walk in scenes as soon as they should (but it takes a while since they should start walking and they do). If this happens you might get stuck later on quest never resolving. (Hiting esc several times won't help). Only solution I know of is to get rid of script heavy mods. (And probably starting a new game). So the sooner you detect this and get rid of some mods the better.
LooksWhosHere Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 I just completed the final Sloane mission, thanks for all this, great story . I was a little bit disappointed toward the end I was hoping there would be a scene where Katrina gets tied, plz add it in XD
Guest Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 (edited) Hi! I found an issue with Origin quest. After finishing the Dream Laura and Kata remained in the Middle of the path (where the last scene takes place). I believe I caused the bug by clicking on the map in the middle of the scene, or maybe it was that sexlab decided that it was the moment for running a masturbation attempt due to arousal. (Those scenes have already caused me troubles in the past with other mods scenes). When talking to them in the middle of nowhere I have no option for finishing origin quest. Will try to do it from the start, not touching map... and check if it solves the issue. EDIT: replayed it completely, this time it completed properly. If this happens to someone else: just keep mid quest saves and reload if you have an issue after a sexlab scene. Edited December 6, 2024 by try again.

Yeh I've found that with pathing and script heavy quest mods, it's a good idea to save often. It doesn't happen as much for me in LBS, but it does happen.
PubliusNV Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 After multiple attempts, I've finally managed to play through the main quest line of this mod, and I have to say I'm really impressed. Spoiler I appreciated the tight plotting, leaving few loose ends, as Jade returns after What She Deserves and becomes a major character driving the plot forward, and even the strange rock from the first quest isn't a throw-away, but is crucial in the final stages. For those who haven't tried it yet, a few things I discovered that conflict and can cause problems: 1. Any mod that modifies the Temple of Mara (in my case, The Temple of Mara mod) can interfere with a scene and prevent the quest from advancing. 2. Any mod that makes changes to Falkreath (in my case, Cities of the North - Falkreath) can modify the landscape and make a character hard to find. I was able to use the mod Where Are You to find and move her to me. 3. Any mod that makes changes to Ivarstead (in my case The Great Town of Ivarstead, which modified the Inn) 4. Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul, which changes the ingredients for Apple Cabbage Stew, making it impossible to cook. Fortunately the MCM debug section of CACO allows you to give yourself one of each ingredient, allowing you to proceed. For problems 1 and 3, the mods to Falkreath and Ivarstead, I had to remove the mods and start a new game. Anyway, thanks for the wonderful mod, it was very enjoyable. 2
Guest Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Hi, Im having lot of issies with taking control quest. Not sure what happens in that cave :S. last time I played was unable to finish it (got stock because of Jade refusing to move during a scene). it seem3d it was due to mod lag, so I drastically reduce mod list and gave it a secundario attempt. this time I'm having no mod lag elsewhere. but I'm having issues in here. I already had to load/save a few times for people refussing to move (first time I had to to this due to mod lag) and... ...im currently stock on trying to find the documents in the tavern. Karo sit in a chair nearby and is not going anywhere. So I get the text "you cannot do that while Karo is still around" I cant remember if I had to do something for him to move or if he should do that authomatically. Any tip? In particullar: are you ussing any papyrus performance mod?

Guest Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Done! Was able to complete the main quest. Also got the cryptic Letter but I'm unable to find the key on the wooden beams. (Any help appreciated). I thought there should be an option for wearing a thorium collar at this point. I'm wrong? Thanks! P.s.: awesome mod by the way. I restarted a full game just for playing it and it was the right decission. Awesome!

The key will appear in your next game - you already did the mainquest and don't need a skip for this playthrough. 2 hours ago, try again. said: I thought there should be an option for wearing a thorium collar at this point. I'm wrong? Not sure, but it isn't instantly. Sona and Laura need a bit time to give it the right magic, and Laura of course needs to do some testing. I fear the poor girl will get tied up!!! 1

belegost Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 (edited) I don't know if it's possible to implement, but it would be nice if Seeking the Curse avoided falmer-infested dungeons in general, but Kagrenzel in particular. Getting tied up in there is a death sentence. The chest is in the middle of the dungeon, there is no way to go back since you fall through the roof, and going out requires passing through several levelled falmer, including a boss caster. Even attempting to cheese it, by entering via Stone Creek Cave with the use of something like Better Jumping doesn't help. One still needs to go through a narrow stone bridge in order to get to the chest and the boss and several of it's bodyguards will be spawned patrolling this location on the way back with no way of bypassing them. Getting tied up with armbider or a yoke from the chest effectively means game over. Oh yeah, and the way out is through Stone Creek Cave. Unless one clears the location beforehand there are levelled bandits to worry about and the escape route is through a long, narrow corridor filled with flammable gas. The game sometimes (very rarely but it happens) makes one of the bandits a caster with fire spells. Another location to blacklist would be Sightless Pit/Temple of Xrib. Lots of falmer and chaurus and only one way out once committed. Edited December 12, 2024 by belegost

I remember asking for that ages ago, and Laura just smiled and said, "you need a strategy." Enter though stony creek cave, kill the bandits. Walk through the falmer cave, don't open the boss chest, walk back an kill the falmer, make the tour a 3rd time, get bound, go back. Even if you're taking the drop, no-one forces you to take the sack of restraints right away. Clear the dungeon, go back, take the restraints. There are other dungeons as well that need some planning to survive, maybe taking a bunch of followers with you, that can actually handle the fighting. But yes, I agree that it would be nice if some of these really dangerous dungeons would be excluded - on the other hand you can always decline to finish the quest, and Laura will give you another one. 2

Really glad you noticed. ❤️ On 12/12/2024 at 2:20 AM, belegost said: I don't know if it's possible to implement, but it would be nice if Seeking the Curse avoided falmer-infested dungeons in general, but Kagrenzel in particular. But as @CaptainJ03 said, you can try stuff like clearing the dungeon before picking it up. But I don't want it to select frustrating dungeons. I don't really remember this one so I'll check it out. That's the one where you activate the flashing orb and then floor opens and you fall down to a watery pit. The climb out is through narrow corridors filled with falmer. Doing this before level 15 is almost impossible, provided one does not play at kindergarten difficulty.
Guest Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Hey @Laura Thanks for the Mod, all the work & talent applied to it as well as the work monitoring this support thread. Trying this mod for the first time on my new playthrough.
cockroach666 Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 i did the glimme dream quest, but laura and katarina aren't at the shop. they're stood where they were in the dream.

It happens quite often. Probably due to a sexlab animation kicking in due to arousal. You can turn them of from sexlab MCM. Just remember to turn them on again or no animation will kick in the future.
Chubbychu0 Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 The strange rock quest is broken for me, when i "complete" it it doesnt show the quest complete pop up and its still in my quest menu but all stages are complete She also doesnt allow me to do a new quest, she just says "you are already doing something for me. I need you to focus on that" I can also infinitly redeem the reward from the quest
windlepoons Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 I've just finished the story, what an incredible trip it was. I felt many things. The ending was perfect. Great job and I can't wait to see how this mod develops - domme Laura? A player home? Do you have any way for folk who have enjoyed your work to contribute? I seem to recall you had a Patreon? (Maybe wrong about that) 2

And Laura's working on a player home addition right now - though nobody really knows for sure what she's adding.

And you're right, I used to have a Patreon. I deleted it because I wasn't able to work on the mod for a while and getting money for doing nothing felt wrong. But you're not the first to ask so I may open something like that again. 3 hours ago, Allen Harris said: Well, after you complete the main quest, you can get her to lock you into the thotium collar which progressively binds you. I was about to say I do, but that's not true. I always plan ahead but nothing ever goes as planned. 😂 The playerhome is already done, tested and ready for release, but I'm currently concepting adding kinky aspects for the player home. Stuff like being able to completely unlock yourself but locking the door and only letting you out if you lock them back on. I'm also setting up an SE install for a possible move to SE only. 6
