Reginald I truly look forward to the changes you have done on her. ?

I get one feeling that she will be incompatible whit several of the mods here.

If they are to start, I'll bet they won't be for long. Once she's released with her .esm, I can think of several mod authors off the top that will likely be knocking on Reg's door for perms. She's cool AF to have in your game (and will be even more so with 5.0), so people will want her in their mods.

Yet more of my rationale behind basing my fallout fun around her, on top of all the cool shit Reg and Chic are cooking up for her. She'll be epic.

Development Update

Today is spent on implementing the HyperCombat enable quest. It will start automatically after Ivy is in combat several times and she starts thinking about how she can become better at it. She finds hidden encrypted subroutines and asks the player to help her find and decrypt the holotape (these are the two main parts of the quest). Once the holotape has been found and her HyperCombat routines are enabled, several smaller sub quests kick off where you can upgrade her routines and add special attacks.

I've also fixed around 9 lines of quest related dialogue that kicked off when you recruit Ivy at a later stage in the game. These were part of quests you had already finished at that time and are unrelated for Ivy to speak, by adding conditionals this was fixed as well. Next to that, all Ivy's sitting-, sneaking- and hourly idles now all look at her affinity for you.

Ivy still cannot drop in affinity for you. She is programmed to like and serve you (in all your needs), but she can learn to love you and she can become disappointed in you. This is new compared to the original build. If Ivy gets in a disappointed state you can remedy this by either hacking her systems or by talking to her and treating her kindly (making it up to her).

Hacking Ivy

If you have the robotics expert perks you can now 'hack' Ivy for certain things.. I'm still working on what things those are exactly. Likely even some of her NX-2C controller holotape functionality will need some kind of perks to access (e.g. Tech or Robotics expert).

For instance, if Ivy is very disappointed in you, because you denied all her raider and hyper combat quests, or because you treated her badly in some form or another, you could possibly hack her to love you. Warning though.. this is a chance roll. You could also break her in some form or another, kicking off a side quest for fixing her...

I'll spend the rest of the day implementing all HyperCombat upgrade quests.

Ivy's affinity is now finished and fleshed out. Players receive messages about her opinions on you and your actions as her affinity grows for you. Ivy can now reach a disappointed state, causing temporary penalties in her performance, all sexy chat is disabled (she'll flat out refuse or the option is not there) and she'll start to eventually treat you as a customer. Affinity does not rise as long as Ivy is in a disappointed state.

In other news... You can choose to refuse Ivy when she requests you to help her install her HyperCombat routines, but she might be disappointed in you if you do and the next time you want to flirt with her.. you'll find that she might not be as willing as usual, replacing your flirting option with either a way to apologize, or revisit the thing that's upsetting Ivy. If you choose to do so, she'll eventually respect your choice to help her, restoring her affinity for you.

Master @Reginald_001, a very serious doubt here with me

My computer has a processor bottleneck, I need to change it because I'm suffering to run fO4 here ...
the case it is to change the processor spent XX money, and then I think I will have complications with the video card that will ask for more XXX money ...

It happens that there are some weeks I managed to get a vidceogame Xbpox 360, and I already discovered that the Xbox One, has the fO4,
the case is that it is much cheaper for me instead of improving the computer exchange my xbox360 for an xbox one and put a FO4 to run on it,
already play with the xbox contorle on the same computer, nor will I feel difference (I think ...)

but this whole story is for the next question:

Could I get Ivy to run on FO4 on Xbox ????

EDIT:

I researched a littlem and not this one ...

searching a little, it seems that you can only install mods in fo4 on xbox or playstation that are in the official repository of https://bethesda.net/

If I migrate FO4 from PC to XBOX I get no access to any mod that is not in bathesda

It's not going to happen, I'll have to improve the pc right here.

in time,:
ery fair that Ivy can be disappointed with the player, is a huge evolution in their intelligence and relationship

XBOX will never happen. Best to save a bit for a couple of months, then buy a better video/card mobo combi.

OK, Deleting xbox idea...

I took a look at the bethesda mods, it seems that there are about ten thousand there, many of them we know and are famous nexus,

I did not see an adult content area ... maybe they will not accept Ivy, snif ...

But I think your other mod of constructions between without any complications, can be a test or experiment to see how mod is placed in the batlestar repositorium.

of course you're already with a billion things to do, but ... if you want to take a look at this might be interesting,

I imagine Ivy appearing also in the nexus and batlestar and also uhuuuuuuu !

Development Update

Wasn't able to do much today. Busy day at work! Don't have the concentration or energy left to do deeper quest work today so I'm focusing on making sure that all of Ivy's profanity filters are now fully in place. This means that a PG-13 version of Ivy is in the works, to be released after the main release at one point or another. What it definitely means is that once you enable her profanity filters she will be 100% 'youtube' proof (except you can't even say the word 'gun' anymore on youtube without losing syndication money so scrap that).

What it does mean, however, is that you will be able to play with Ivy in the living room, without having to worry about your spouse or kids walking into the room just when Ivy is venting stuff like 'Piss into my anal hole' or something like that.. ?

The 'HyperCombat!' quest, where the player and Ivy go on a quest to enable her HyperCombat routines, is now finished.

After having gone through a certain amount of combat, Ivy will automatically broach the subject with players, engaging them in this quest.  The quest is designed to be played at lower levels and could potentially be played at level 1 as long as the players have Ivy to back them up. During the quest, Ivy will make different remarks about visited locations then when the quest is not running. The quest involves finding certain items, where the quest pointers work only up to a certain range of coming within the object, after which the players need to investigate and search the area.

I've been working hard on injecting Ivy with more humor, not the flat kind, but the well timed kind... where she keeps surprising players with funny lines or remarks. No new systems were made for this, I've just expanded on the existing quest dialogue and locational dialogue with new content as I was going through the profanity filters.

New Erotic Content

New erotic content and stories are coming to Ivy.. and not just a bit.. but a lot. I will be expanding her 'dynamic erotic story teller' system with double the content. This will exponentially increase the amount of combinations that stories can have (Now it's 720 different combinations that will become 1470... basically making each story unique in any playthrough). It's a mind boggling amount of content.

There will also be new and more dedicated stories outside of this system.

And a special guest will be writing one of these stories as well, so stay tuned for more info!

Will you be replacing the old loading screens that are centered around Ivy? If so i have few suggestions.

  • (Raider loadingscreen) could be Ivy pointing her gun instead
  • magazine could be one of the porn mags will be collecting
  • (Bed loadingscreen) could be Ivy on the bed doing a pose naked like in the Ivy trailer (the one 0:04)
  • Bladed bat one can stay, if it turns out that will be her melee weapon
  • Black widow perk i can't think anything yet

Of course you don't have to do any of these. I just like the idea while i'm waiting for the game to load, i see Ivy in sexy pose

All this anticipation is killing me this and Malia companion.

Great idea! Though the problem with using Ivy is that the loadingscreen model is a static model, and people will be customizing their Ivy to their liking. This will cause an issue with immersion so I've decided against using any type of model or representation of her in the loading screens.

The magazine add-on will add 10 loading screens (optional as I can imagine you might not always want to have pornography in your load screens) so that's already covered! :)

Awesome! I should've been more clear about her appearance. I actually meant her default appearance you made not my custom show up. I actually don't mind seeing her default look to be honest, but i understand as you have enough as it is.

Went over around 700 lines of CIS dialogue tonight, adding more filters where appropriate. I need to get all of these filters in place properly so that when Ivy is disappointed in the player she truly doesn't engage in any kind of romantic/sexy talk with the player while the issue lasts. It's a bit of a monk's job. 700 dialogue items means I'll be spending a few more nights sifting through dialogue.

The good news of this all is that I've found a few lines that were never spoken before, due to bad conditions and small mistakes I made in the initial creation process. This means that some lines and events that were never picked up before/spoken aloud such as the LootEpicItem event are now spoken about.

By using the InList() conditional I've managed to take away the need for adding keywords to any type of object that Ivy remarks upon. This has greatly simplified the way I can implement Ivy's awareness of what the player picks up. If an item is small enough, Ivy will now make an appropriate sexy remark.

(Read: She will no longer say 'Think that fits into my pussy?' after picking up a shopping cart...)

This also grants me the ability for modders to add their own custom items to things Ivy remarks on. Simply create an ESP (I'll try to provide a template for it) that will script inject the items into the list and it should always work and always be compatible.

In fact, I'll be working on several ESP templates for modders that they can use as a base to start modding their own quests and things into Ivy.

With that, development for the day concludes and I'm off to bed to fall asleep to an episode of Doctor Who.

No, not that new crap from this year. The real, proper, Doctor.. Eccleston, Tennant, Smith or Capaldi.. I'll make the choice when I arrive at my bed..

Development Update.

Not much to say, went over a lot of dialogue conditions to check them thoroughly. Added a lot of profanity filters.. I thought they worked before but boy was I wrong. Whole slews of profanity without conditionals for the profanity preferences of players were set today. Also fixed some circumstances where the magazine install wouldn't fill the leveled lists right. I think I solved it but I need to do some more checking there. In all else fails, players will have a holotape at hand that should do the job of installing the mags.

Got a bit of RSI from all that clicking, so I'm tucking into bed early. :)

I think you will have to clone Chic for the amount of new work you have for her.

How is your falsetto?

Clearly you don’t understand my work ethic...and dedication. ?I’ll do ALL THE voices! ?

Man, all this new stuff coming has me very excited. It all sounds so interesting. Something that was mentioned is some tweaks to Ivy’s hacking. One thing (maybe the only thing) that Heather Casdin has over Ivy is that her hacking system is  superior.  It’s very quick and she never fails. She starts out able to hack novice levels and after 5 terminals, she can can unlock advanced, and so on.  It would be awesome if Ivy had a similar system. She is an ex courser synth with advanced programming after all.

I think many players have no idea about the mind boggling amount of work that modders invest into their mods.

I think Ivy has received well over 1500 hours of work in total at this point (!).

Me too. In fact it's all the stuff I wanted to have in the initial release but I simply wasn't a good enough modder back then. Things have changed though.. I'm now far more versed in scripting, engine 'stuff' etc.. and I feel comfortable in implementing the features I wanted for her all along. Some features (like HyperCombat) are completely new, sprung forth from ideas I gained while learning the engine.

Fun fact: What you see is NOT what you will get with Ivy.

Some of the coolest stuff with Ivy I'm not sharing yet.. to leave for the trailers etc.. But.. once you have the new builds and addons installed, you'll have many, many hours of new quests and gameplay elements never seen before in a companion. :)

@Reginald_001 Half innocent question at this point in the championship

the occasion of Ivy's construction, and the history of Dr Stain and Deb, are about the same time or decade when the player leaves vault 111?
Or did Ivy's hunch happen decades ago and she stayed for many, many years in the basement?

I thought about it today about her interaction and flashes of memories with other characters in the game ...

To get an answer to that question, you will have to wait and see. :)
