Ivy uses the regular NPC body so it uses the body textures that all your NPC's use. Development update: Added another 100 Nuka Idles and 10 news items for the radio. I'm planning out the final 6 holotapes in the Nuka Quest. As I want it to have real impact on the player I'm doing testing on things, branching builds, then folding back, to find the right way to approach things. I'm using the Extended Lore Project 'Darryl' bot as playground for my experiments and I've successfully created a basic follower system from scratch through minor scripting and dialogue scenes only. Of course expanding that to add command options and options such as hacking will be the next step from there. But I'm close to being able to get Ivy 'off' the regular companion system and onto her own, eliminating the need for multi follower mods during quests like the Mechanist's lair. The only thing that will truly break is companion interjections during quests, so I'll need to go over all quest integration in the base mod ESM to make that happen. I'll likely choose to do so anyway as I have a lot of camera tweaking and dialogue targets to adjust there anyway. 2
Reginald_001 Posted April 9, 2019 Author Posted April 9, 2019 Development Update: Darryl's framework has taught me much about companions and the companion script. I will dive more into Alias objects and will try my hand on more surprise encounters for Ivy with NPC's in her base ESM. I'm close to feeling confident about the Followers script and have a firm grasp on how they are built and how to make the command functions work for Ivy. Once I have that really down, then I will proceed with cloning the vanilla script in such a way that all extraneous code is removed and I can separate her from the follower list, allowing you to recruit vanilla companions besides Ivy. BE AWARE: I am still doubting very much on actually implementing this for Ivy. There are lots of things to explore, foremost on my mind that I simply don't think you should travel with Ivy and vanilla companions. It could be that even if I do implement this system, I still might to decide to limit it to companions that you are forced to travel with for the duration of a quest, like Ada, or Nick when visiting Far Harbor (you haven't played FH until you've traveled the island with Nick by your side). The same goes for that old Longfellow what's his name. I agree that walking with two or three companions all the time breaks the experience, but I suffer a lot in dismissing Ivy to be able to do some part of the story, it will be great when he is together in these situations too. there's something I've seen with Heater that I liked a lot at the time, when you walk with her and Piper, the heater implies with Piper all the time, it was a fun balcony, another thing I remembered from a long time ago, Cait and Piper exchanged a companion between Cait and Cait, one of them wished to bid three in and the two of them ... I imagine their conversations, Ivy and Cait, if they can be together in Cait's mission, even though the cait is the closest to Ivy's step that the native companions of the game can be. For My Character Cait is an ongoing project that she feels that if she doesn't look after her she will fall back to the previous life. All good though might start a playthrough just for heather and Ivy- and Malia when she comes out 1

I can't concentrate due to the neighbors fucking dog that's crying as if its giving babies, as.. per fucking.. usual. I want to kill that animal. I never felt hate for an animal until now. 2

I could likely make it so that you can dismiss Ivy, but have her 'tag along', giving her a basic follower package. If I then hack her back into the current companion faction most of her dialogue should still work for the remainder of the quest. And, as intended, quest interjections from Ivy would be overridden by theirs. It might be a whole lot simpler to set up. 1

Like Itunez user agreement, I did not read all the details. I had unlimited companions on and I think that is causing diffculties. I was able reset the radio, but it is not giving directions just the usual audio plays. Did I bork it good? Did I brake it? I really hope I dont have to restart. I have play with Ivy before, 3.2 I think. I just want to say to the mod author, this is best companion mod out any Bethesada games mod. Better anything in Fallout 3, Oblivion, or even Skyrim. Thank you.

Mate, whichever way you want to go it will be fine, If we need to have a playthrough with just Ivy, Heather and Malia then it's fine, your mod mate build her the way you want to. 2

Ivy will have something unique to say about each magazine that you find (72 magazines in total!). And for each magazine she will elaborate on some of its lore and real life background. You will find that she has a wealth of knowledge about pornography and its historical and cultural influences. It's pretty cool to work on it as it allows me to look at things scientifically through a historical sociological perspective, sometimes delving into philosophical areas as well.. Warning, NSFW. I'm doing my research online into each of these magazines, trying to provide some real information, not just BS-funny-remarks. And it's both educational and just fucking bloody interesting as well.. Of course I have a way to go, as there are 72 magazines in total. Just finished the first 8, took me about 2 hours as I want to make sure whatever Ivy says about them is true. Note that she will be speaking about the REAL history of these magazines, as if they were part of the fallout universe. This means that most facts she says about them are real (e.g. places where they were printed, publishers, etc..etc..) but some info will be changed to fit the Fallout Lore, wherever this happens it will be obvious though, so you can distinguish between real-life history, and lore. 3
Reginald_001 Posted April 14, 2019 Author Posted April 14, 2019 Did a lot of mags today, not much to say there. Just lots of new dialogue. Went out and played with Ivy then went back into the base mod as I noticed I had simple gotten used to some things, like Ivy interrupting herself during combat, so I decided to go back in and fix all those minor bugs. I added new conditionals, changed the scripts up a bit (with insights from working with Darryl) and basically made it so she interrupts herself a lot less (I think it's safe to say never, but never say never).. I haven't witnessed her interrupting herself since I made the changes so things are looking pretty good. I've also been experimenting with a system where you don't have to transport her if she gets stuck. If all things work out (I think they will) she will soon detects there's something wrong with her navigational systems and she will automatically teleport to the player, effects and all. I will likely disable her regular companion warping completely to replace it with this system. This to make her presence more immersive and realistic in the game (I hate companions warping out of existence in front of my eyes and it happens quite often). I actually created the system for Darryl, since sometimes he would get stuck as he's not a true companion (you can't command him, only talk to him, and he never engages in combat, just warps away to flee and hide, and stay out of the way as much as possible) but it's interchangeable with Ivy. Overall update on development: Ivy's Base ESM 95% finished: Will still add new warp system to her. I am working on a system where you can choose Ivy's voice type. It will increase the download (as you will need both sets of voice files) but it will allow players to choose a voice type for Ivy. And it will allow Ivy to become aware of which voicetype she is using. And it will give me some other opportunities as well which I don't want to spoil. Nuka World is 85% finished. I need only 2-300 more lines of dialogue and I'm very close to shipping it off to Chic for voice acting. The porn collector magazine is 70% finished. I still have around 45 magazines to write dialogue for. Ivy's Museum of Pornography 50% finished. After my experience with Reginald's Prefab Shackfest I'm definitely going back into that one. Chic has already voiced all dialogue for it. Stalkers of Ivy Mod - Cancelled, for now. The idea of this mod was to add a new raider class, intent on finding and recruiting Ivy for themselves. I tried adding a new type of raider to the leveled lists, but every time I do, the game starts crashing randomly. I've tried a lot of things but without more knowledge of how factions, races and such things work.. I'm afraid I'll keep fumbling in the dark with that one. If anyone has a clear and concise bulleted list of things I need to look out for when setting it up, I'll be happy to look into that in the future. 5

We're taking the time to get it 'righter' than before. I expect there will be more back and forth this time about dialogue as well, this time around. As Chic has gotten to know Ivy she has things to say about her as well and her input makes Ivy as companion all the more richer. Those estimates are pretty accurate. The ESM is pretty much fixed at this point. If I change anything major, I'll be breaking all the add-ons that source the ESM as master. 2

If I change anything major, I'll be breaking all the add-ons that source the ESM as master. i have a ? i have not seen asked but with the ESM in concern to DLC need what do we have to have as in DLC all of the I just Nuka World or will the be an install that we pick which DLC we have Because not all of us have all DLC i only have Nuka World and Wasteland Workshop and Contraptions Workshop I don't have the rest and wont bother with them so i hope i will still be able to use ivy just general ? Thought i would ask and Thanks for all your hard work
