Reginald_001 Posted November 9, 2019 Author Posted November 9, 2019 Ivy's HyperCombat is really amazing. I can't stress how much fun it is to see her do these attacks. She sometimes fumbles and falls and curses for it. But sometimes there are moments that are just too precious. For instance, I walk into the funhouse map and there's a hall of mirrors. Of course, Ivy gets stuck at the beginning. But no worries, she told me that she would (because she cheated on the tests) and I know she'll find her way to me and teleport when she's good and ready. So I track forward and suddenly a large Legendary Charred Feral ghoul stands in front of me and whacks me. Disoriented I turn around and go into VATS. Only to see Ivy teleport right into him, his arms, legs and head spraying about in a shower of blood. Completely bloodied Ivy looks at me and asks. "Are you alright?". Or we walk to the back of the Galactic Zone, to find some Disciples there fighting with Super Mutants. Ivy and I sneak in from afar, then a Super Mutant spots us and runs towards us. Pop, Ivy's teleports away and tears off his head, then teleports back to me. I turn around, get hit in the head by a sniper mutant and pop, Ivy's pops off into the shed where it's hiding. I turn around, see the blue flash and a spray of blood. And plop.. Ivy teleports back to my location.. "Done." I really can't wait to share 5.0 with you guys. 5

Reginald_001 Posted November 10, 2019 Author Posted November 10, 2019 Introducing a New Feature: The NX-2C Local Teleport Module When recruiting Ivy 5.0 you will receive the NX-2C Local Teleport Module. This module can be assigned to a hot key as favorite item and can be found under the AID category. Once used, it will teleport Ivy to your location on the fly. This works the same as the local teleport function called from the controller holotape but while running with Ivy for a while now I felt the need for a hotkey. I am also working to see if I can make a hotkey to have Ivy use her HyperCombat on selected targets (if her cooldown allows). It works pretty simple. You'll already have the module in your inventory, but you can always build it in a chem workbench. Without further ado: NX-2C Local Teleport Module.mp4 4

Got all of them and sent them to bug-heaven. Getting ready for a complete playthrough of Nuka World this weekend. Sort of a last run-through before finishing up on Ivy's quest surrounding Nuka World and Dr. Stein. Added 10 'Deary Ivy' Sent in letters to WIVS radio. This is the new radio segment, where settlers, raiders and other people of the wasteland send letters to WIVS radio asking for life-advice. Ivy responds in her typical manner. Sometimes comical, sometimes wildly serious. Many of these 'Dear Ivy' requests are heavily inspired on PM's I received from people in the past, some of which are hilarious.. Suiting up to play the part of raider in Nuka World. Are the Deary Ivy notes in text dialogue format too?

Does Ivy teleport at will or only on command? If it's at will is there a fear of accidentally shooting her when she teleports to the enemy or is there a safeguard in place to prevent that? 1

But there's very little chance you'll shoot her. I am trying to work out a way to direct her hypercombat. But while playing I must say that the surprise element really makes it much more fun because she's using it at so many times where you wouldn't expect. It really is and works differently every time you play with her. 1

She will prefer using it, whenever you point her to an enemy. Check out these 2 videos. The first shows Ivy's autonomous HyperCombat, the second one shows a directed attack as well. In the first video you can see I'm also using the local teleport module to keep Ivy close to me during combat. You will see that I teleport Ivy to me, she notices the enemy, does a teleportation attack, then the enemies turn towards her, but she teleports out. You hear the enemy say 'Gone!' and Ivy is back at my side. In the second video I direct her to the enemy, and she does a fragmentation grenade attack. She basically teleports to the enemy, surprising them, drops a grenade, and teleports back again. All teleports can be configured and upgraded with appropriate perks. As player with Ivy by your side, you'll want to upgrade all of her combat perks asap, by upgrading your own and configuring them in her holotape. Autonomous HyperCombat.mp4 Directed Attack.mp4 3
landess Posted November 10, 2019 Posted November 10, 2019 If ChicGeek does return, I can definitely hear her having fun after you meet 'Dixie'... "Wha? Don't you liek et whan I tawlk liek Dixie shugar?" "Let me ring a little southern belle....." 1
kchurchjr Posted November 10, 2019 Posted November 10, 2019 WOW!!!! I am looking forward to this so much!!!! 1

That puts things into better perspective for me and eases my mind a bit. Thank you!!! I've grown fond of Ivy and would hate to inadvertently hurt her, not to mention I wouldn't want a pissed off crazy sex bot after me. 1

Reginald_001 Posted November 11, 2019 Author Posted November 11, 2019 Development Update I started a new job so I'm pretty busy and have little time in the evenings. Luckily I was able to do a lot last week, both on Nuka World and the base build. Would I do things differently if I could start from scratch? Definitely. Will I do that for Ivy? Not in a kazillion years.. she's working great and the base build is pretty close to being release-ready, I think I went through all the major bugs. I have decided to remove the 'temporary dismissal' feature as it's just too buggy. Removing Ivy from the followers group and adding a light weight follower script is proving to be buggy due to my inability to truly comprehend this engine. For now. It's fine and if and when needed you can dismiss Ivy for a short while without any consequences for your relationship with her. Just to spice up this update.. another cool HyperCombat moment. We first went back to the basement to drop our Raider disguise and don our white costumes again. Then we went back to Nuka World to kick some Raider butt. Ivy teleports into a shack to drop a grenade, then finishes with 'kaboom bitch'. Just another cool HyperCombat moment.mp4 9

I do have a special place in my heart for a DOM... just saying Also Congrats @Reginald_001 and LOL I love the "Kaboom Bitch" Before starting NoFap I was planning on a Faproulette kind of follower, a real DOM that would give the player real life instructions, just like a Faproulette does. But due to my NoFap experiences I have decided against that. I don't think a follower like that would be good for the general mental health of men, not to mention those men taking it too far. Faproulette is a really bad thing, by the way. Really very bad. I even have the framework set up: It was called the MX-1C Domination Bot and was to be optionally male or female, depending on your mod settings. At certain times the bot would tell you to masturbate, or edge, or wear girls underwear, or piss on a sock and gag yourself with it.. you know.. the normal regular stuff. ? Development Update @kchurchjr is making AWESOME 2D artwork for the booklet, which is to be released together with the 5.0 build. I won't spoil anything, but it's great work and really compliments the book! No updates on Ivy. This was my second day at my new job and it's draining me of all energy currently, so though I'd like to work on Ivy, I'm smart not to and take my rest. Besides the Mandalorian was released today so I have something to watch. 8

Thanks for for having me I'm also really excited to be able to help with Ivy, even if in a small way The MX-1C SOUNDS interesting, Dunno if it'd even come close to Ivy. She has a very very special place in my heart. Still my favorite Mod/Companion ever 3
Celedhring Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 the command to dismiss Ivy is in the "Trade With" dialogue branch which doesn't feel intuitive at all. I keep expecting to find it in a more dialogue oriented branch of Ivy's dialogue menu.
Nebuchadnezzer2 Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 @Reginald_001 Been a while, in part thanks to your No-Fap break, as I noticed I was getting far too personally involved with most of the topics/threads here on LL. Glad to see you're doin better now, and found another job relatively quickly. Keepin myself spoiler-free on Ivy, but it sounds like the 'add-ons' and base Ivy are shapin up nicely. Have to admit, am also to some extent, waiting for the release to sort out my mods and get back into FO4, but I've plenty to occupy myself with. Quote I'm smart not to and take my rest. Good, I was gunna tell you to slow down, but with age comes wisdom, it seems. ? Also, I could see Faproulette or something like it, being an alright way to "spice things up" somewhat, especially if a couple makes one together, for their own use [or make one for each other], but not for most people. 4

Dismiss has always in the service menu (I JUST confirmed) since I've played with Ivy. If unsure, Screen shots and Load order can help ( I do use Full Dialogue Interface ) Examples below I took specifically for this 1
