Support for this particular mod was already asked about months ago by someone else, but it never seem to have made it to the google docs collection or get any attention.

Naturally I've been checking back here every couple of weeks for progress, and today I noticed that on the steam workshop page of the mod, the author made an FAQ, the very first part of which says the tl;dr of: "He no longer making any edits/requests to the mod, but anyone else who wants to is free to do so, so long credits are given.

So in case this is enough to qualify as permission, and anyone has the free time & generosity, it would be nice to have compatibility for this version of the Draconis too.

Taken down because it was outdated and incompatible with the current (At the time) version, and caused issues, plus fear of backlash from the race author.

Don't know exactly if it's the right topic to ask it, but is there any chance of adding support for these races?

As stated on the last page, someone needs to ask permission to the current mod dev.

About the Indix, the Dev didn't give permission to that race, had something to do with their lore. The other race from the same dev was ok to do, and I think they got a support, lastree I think?.

I am not sure how this all works, but can I request races straight up or is there a certain etiquette I must follow?

Please try to contact the mod authors privately if you can. Avoid posting any direct questions or mention of NSFW terms in the steam or forum pages. It is preferred to contact them privately to avoid a PR freak-out from possibly both the mod author and the larger steam community as a whole (kids and meme lords will see it if public). Contacting privately gives a higher success rate of approval.

If they say no, then they say no. A few times in the past, pressing the matter didn't exactly go well. Support can only be made upon the mod author's approval.

Ah, gotcha. Thank you for the swift reply. Before I go and ask the them, does anyone know if anybody has already asked Oмεяυıп, the creator of the "Angels of Starbound" mod if that race is good to use? I wouldn't want to pester him/her if they have already said no.

I talk to Omeruin from time to time, and she said that she doesn't want any of her races to be used in any nsfw context. So that's a no for the Angels, as well as her other races.

Ah, understood. I am glad I asked first. Wouldn't have wanted to bothered her if she already made her decision.

As the creator of the reskin, if anyone has any desire to make a Sexbound patch for it, they have my blessing.

Can't really be sure if you're actually the author of that mod unless you've verified it that you are one of those author in that mod. Can't be too careful now can we?

you know i just had a thought, why not take a screenshot to prove your the creator? you should have access to the owner consoles just take a screen shot of that when on the mod page, then just uploaded the pic here. doing that will end up giving it a higher chance of being done.

Screenshots can be doctored rather easily to look like they're legit. If anyone wants to go through the trouble of claiming they are the owner of "X", it wouldn't take more than an hour to 5 minutes if they're good at it.

You can't however, pretend to be someone's steam account, when you can just check their profile and workshop pages easily. That's why i used to ask the creators on Steam, if i could get permission to use their race on something, and i'd send a friend request afterwards to open communications; I'm just overexplaining things though.
