Cause that version just worked. Crosshairrefevents script hang fix doesn't work in VR and it has already been implement in I believe PO3 fixes for vr. Or it was one of the other basic patches. dcur_clocktickrefscript has been posted here in this thread multiple times with full stack dumps as an issue and never really resolved. I'm gonna make an empty install later with only necessary mods for DCL to work and see what that does.

After doing some testing I discovered that the cause of all those stacks, and the broken Rape/Debug MCM pages was simply DCL not initializing completly. It should notify you saying "Deviously Cursed Loot Initialized". I never got that message so I didn't realize something was wrong. After playing with my mods a bit there were to mods preventing DCL from initializing. First was an outdated DDNG. Which is understandable. The latest one on LL gave me issues so I downloaded the nightly build from github (https://github.com/IHateMyKite/DeviousDevicesNG/releases/tag/nightly-20241207). The second issue was Alternate Perspective weirdly enough. Every version I tried either didn't start or DCL couldn't initialize. Is DCL dependent on the Unbound quest being completed or something? Cause I thought you met sasha before you do so. For now I switched to Realm of Lorkhan while I'm configuring my mods. 1

But other than that, it shouldn't be dependent on unbound since there is an LAL (and as of a few days ago an AP) start. I do have DCL working with Alternate Perspective though, so it might just be you need to do a stepped install. Install a few mods, load game, save, exit, load next batch. I've had to do that before although not recently. And when it is a bitch, I do the workaround kimy gave.

I really want Leon to have a personality beyond just the description on the site and dialogues that other followers can have too, such as Leon being more dismissive, or actually barking orders at the player.

Even if I submit and let them arrest me, nothing ends up happening, and the guards say that they are gonna kill the PC, yet they just sheath their weapons, and nothing else happens afterward and I can just walk away scott free. Same thing also happens when I try and fight the guards as well. They say the same line, then sheath their weapons and walk away like nothing ever happened. I do want to preface, I do have POP installed, however, even without POP installed, the same issue happened. I have Simple Slavery installed and installed all patches (S.L.U.T.S as well is installed). Been trying to figure this out, and I haven't found anything of a fix anywhere so wanted to ask here. Is it possible some mod is overriding the script for the event to happen, or am I just unlucky?

Finally fixed this error on VR by setting bDisableScriptsInPlayroomVR = true in PapyrusTweaks.ini Took me a week to figure it out

I would expect it to only make it worse. Since it stops DCL from initializing once before you start a new game. As was recommended by Kimi. For now I'm using random alternate start for a similar effect and for that I had to disable vr playroom entirely. As soon as I'm done with my mods I will check it out if this works.

I don't believe it's very reliable though and seeing it may be extremely rare. - There's other mods that deal with devices on other players, one is Unforgiving Devices that lets npc's use the same struggle minigame player uses, you can even help her struggle. They probably don't use keys or lockpicks on their own though, unsure. But it only works on patched non-special devices.

Provided the device has locks to begin with, the locks are not timelocked, they have lockpicks in their inventory, the device is not quest-related and can't be removed via other means than just completing the quest, is only unlockable with a unique key, they can actually reach the device, or the device hasn't been patched to use UD's systems. Given enough time, they will get out eventually. Might take weeks though on their own, if they get equipped with a lot of devices that force orgasms when tinkered with. Just help/wait for them to get rid of their first abadon device. They get gold and a bunch of lockpicks. They don't seem to actually use them up. Once they got rid of everything, they have about 15-25 in the inventory. Plus a lot of gold. I actually thought of farming gold by getting a bunch via NFF and leading all of them into goo traps. But that takes way too long. And my potato probably couldn't run all those NPC's trying to struggle out simultaneously and not turn into a space heater. Edited December 15, 2024 by belegost

Actually, I have used that as a fun starting sequence for a new game. Exit Helgen, recruit some of the many mod-added followers I have in Riverwood, go into Bleak Falls Barrow and give each follower the command to flip the first trap lever (without having solved the puzzle). They all end up covered in devices. 😈

I tried a fresh modlist with the bare minimum for Devious Devices and tested it again. Sure enough when a random vibration happens while running around it will start and keep vibrating infinitely. I also noticed that my character will not orgasm during this period even if at 100% arousal so not sure if there is an issue there or not.

That was a problem with one of the arousal mods, slam or slax or one of those. look in the support threads of your arousal mod for a patch, or switch to osl aroused or the old school ported sla.
