Dark Ascension Horizon - Chapter 7: Part 1

Jenna was exhausted after the recent mercenary contract she and Gabrielle helped. With the success of the contract and the Mercenary Union members witnessing Gabrielle's and Jenna's combat mastery, Jenna took the time to relax at the Union Headquarters large showers.  Little does Jenna know, that her moment of respite will be interrupted, leading to an awakening of her own self.

Chapter 7 has become a very large chapter (about 80+ pages). There is quite a bit of meat within chapter 7, but structurally, would not work as 2 separate chapters. Therefore, I will be releasing Part 1 of Chapter 7 early, with the following parts of Chapter 7 coming soon afterwards!

Great battle scene! I like the dynamics of your battles, although sometimes there are feelings of misunderstanding of what is happening, but all the same, events remain recognizable!
Great job!

Amazing! You Really know how to take some really good screens, the positioning, the angles.... need I say more. Great! Like a real comic artist! The chapter felt short but it was actually long because that's how immersed I felt. Good Work I learn a lot from you, Crw and Alter. You can't even compare my work to you guys like I'm just a kid with a coloring book starting off. I have a long way to go.  ;)

That was quite an action sequence in the end, well done!

Holy cow guys, I wasn’t expecting feedback/comments  that QUICK! Thank you for the compliments. I think I found a way to pose and shoot action scenes much faster, or at least a good rhythm

Thanks! Chapter 7 at the moment is almost 88 pages long, so I decided to release a bit of it separately. This spot was the only spot I could find where a “to be continued” would work and had a decent length. The Chapter wouldn’t work if I split it into two separate chapters.

That last fight was great, especially love the shot where they are staging for battle under the triangle pennants.

Thanks! Surprisingly getting the position and poses wasn’t the hard part. The tricky part was I shooting at 1700 hours game time and the lighting significantly changes at 1800 hours. So I had to be extra aware of the lighting changes while shooting and reset the clock when needed.

I hate when that happens! I usually keep my timescale set to 1 to minimize it but yeah on longer scenes it can still be a pain.

Nice entry indeed ! The timely twist of the attack interrupting the (fanservice) showerscene felt quite professional to me, as it allowed you to quicken the pace while still having had the benefits of the sensual scene. Liked the slowly revealed mystery of the town attack, effectively used to create an ominous horror ambiance perfectly suited to create tension. Compliments for the poses & expressions as well, you managed impeccably quite an amount of NPCs in that battle. Now, some rare shots are lesser than others (the textures of the very first outdoors image...), and the tenses usage were strange at the end. One repetition between the captions and the dialogues (the "movement behind the houses"). But all of that is minor : we had action, sensuality, and mystery on this entry. Not the mention the fluid layout. We are entertained !?

You can use smaller than one timescales to keep outdoors lighting unchanged. For Endeavors of the Prince I was at 0.1 I think. It's quite unadvised to do so in a regular game though, but for screenshots it has its uses. Smiley_henri_gaud-belin_HFR.gif

-Thanks so much for your suggestions. I did place extra effort in  re-checking and comparing the dialogues and captions to avoid repetition in Chapter 8 and 9; hopefully you were able to improvements there ?

-I don’t used SGTM that often unless I need a specific pose within an animation, as I often get impatient when an NPC changes from  one static pose to the next. Usually, set gamehour to <time> does it for me ?
