Am having the same problem. No MCM since I installed 5.2 beta 9. Also the Game during startup complains that the dll is for LE. After using the DLL from the link, the problem goes away but the MCM is not not being started and the devices are not working.

DD itself has no quest line, it's purely a framework. You need other mods to make actual use of those devices.

BTW about DD quests, hmm... shouldn't there be that small quests that are opening for you dd crafting? Started when you steal and read that book in college of winterhold?

Been a while since I've modded, having an issue in wyrebash. It's telling me devious devices has an old header form id. I tried running it through creation kit and saving. When I did and tried saving, it wants me to make a new file name using either an esp or esl. So basically it's not letting me re-save it as a master file with the new header form id.

It works fine with the old form ID. Not sure about other modding tools, but MO2 just has a warning at the top that can be ignored. You'll always have that one warning. I think i saw a way to turn form ID warnings off, but it doesn't seem like a good option in my opinion.

I thought old from IDs were harmful? Maybe I'm wrong. Strange how in CK it won't let me save directly over the esm.

It's a setting in your mod manager, The mod works fine with form 43 - it is not one of the mods that must have the esp converted to work. but if you must have form 44 because you can't figure out how to manage your mod manager, then use the DD 5.2 beta on the troubleshooting page. I've given up on this argument.... people just will not educate themselves on this all because of some assumptions made when SE came out.

It's actually SE only. LE has it's own included bodyslides.

I have a problem with the cursed collar quest. when i am presented with the cursed plughs and belt, when i equip everything in the chest it doest recognize that i have and will not let me put the belt on.

There is no such quest in Devious Devices. Find the mod that's adding that quest and ask in its thread instead.

That *should be* deviously cursed loot thing. But better check in console - click on your collar with left button and take a look on first 2 symbols of it's ID.

Then check your DCL.esp load order (that AB or FF or 8D thing). If that's DCL - go to DCL SE topic and ask there.

I did not see any issue myself with the MCM initializing on AE, so it's not the mod itself.

 

Try this process that some people need for DCL. Sometimes SkyUI just can't initialize a lot of MCMs all at once and it craps out.

1. Start a new game.
2. Wait 30 secs, or not at all. It's really just telling Skyrim that you MEAN it. Or so.

That is DCL, not DD. I don't recall specifically, but if you don't put the plugs in first before the belt, that might be the problem. Also make sure that they're really equipped and that you don't have something else occupying the same slot. If you have 3ba for instance, the SMP conflicts with some devices unless you choose to use a DD compatible option in its MCM.

This is DCL but i answer

Piercing not put on.

This is because you have incompatible body with DD BUMP - you can try set compatibility in BUMP MCM, but not always work

or you have 3BA body and the same - change in 3BA body compatibility with DD and piercing will put on.

Hello, I wanted to share a fixed and regenerated behavior.hkx Hopefully this will fix aggressive doggy with armbinder and wrist animations not playing properly.

 

In case anyone would like to know, all I did was add a 2x s and changed some b into +. Until behavior generation worked and didn't give out errors. Only those 2 animations were broken.

 

Backup older one and replace the behavior file in your DD folder at: meshes\actors\character\behaviors\ with this one and rerun fnis or nemesis w/e you use.

What version are you using? There have been a lot of fixes that have gone into the 5.2 beta.

 

Edit: If this was with the 5.2 beta 9 or 10, it should be reported on the dev page so it can get fixed for everyone. You'd need to convert the fix to LE though.

I'm on 5.2 beta 3... no idea DD had that many updates.

 

Found the link. Is it safe to update midgame?
