Where are you getting the items from? If you are adding items manually, add them from DDx, not DDa. The right scripts aren't always attached on DDa items.

 

Also - you installed either of these two mods, and these two mods only? No other DD mods of any kind?

You need to install MFG Fix for the mouths to open with the gags.

 

And as elsidia mentioned, not all devices change how you walk. The ones in your screenshot have no bound animations for walking or idling.

I meant that when NPCs walk with armcuffs, there`s no animation.

DD 5.1 doesn't work with AE, you'll need to get the DLL from the troubleshooting post, or install the DD 5.2 beta, also on the troubleshooting post.

Just wondering if you can help me with a problem. I cannot seem to get my hands on Update.esm for sexlab. I've downloaded just about every version and expansion i can find and its not with any of them. I've tried checking for updates in both of the managers i've used and no luck there, either. I'm still new to modding and have reached the end of my solutions.

Update.esm is part of the base game. If you don't have it, revalidate your files in steam or reinstall skyrim se.

This error happens when first time start a game with Sexlab and means that Sexlab not initialized. Best way to get clean papyrus is:

1) Enter in Sexlab MCM and click button Install Sexlab or just install.

2) Wait while Sexlab is inicialized (can check progress in console or in left upper corner will show debug message: Sexlab version 1.63 is installed)

3) Save a game

4) Load a save

5) Wait while DD animations is installed.

6) When all activity in console is stopped - save a game again.

7) Exit from Skyrim to windows.

Now in papyrus log no more error about DD animations or logs about installing DD anims.

I had a strange issue with the cuffs, similar to what is described in the "KNOWN ISSUES". When the item is dressed, but the script does not see it as dressed, after that it is impossible to take it off, and when choosing the menu, dd only offers to dress it again, but nothing happens. In my inventory, all devices are in one instance.

 

But the strangest thing is that this problem is only with devices from Devious Devices - Expansion, while the devices of the same cuffs from Devious Devices - Integration work completely correctly and are removed as they should. I started looking further and found a number of devices causing this problem, this only happens with them, and the rest in the Expansion also work correctly.

 

What I found:

black ebonite cuffs (Legs)

black ebonite cuffs (arms)

golden ebonite catsuit long gloves

 

These devices are guaranteed to cause the problem, but there may be others.

Could you tell me what could be the problem and what should I pay attention to?

Stop equipping/removing items quickly or try the DD 5.2 beta where there were some improvements to equip/unequip scripts.

 

Honestly, adding and removing a bunch of devices in sequence quickly is the fastest way to bug any device in game and DD 5.2 is not a magic bullet. If you have a lot of mods or otherwise have script lag due to your pc hardware, you're still going to see the problem. Go slow, make sure one device is unequipped before moving to the next. If you need to exit the inventory MCM to make sure it's removed visually. This is not regular armor, you can't just swap at the drop of a hat. There are several scripts that need to run after both equipping and unequipping.

 

I have had all of those devices equipped at one time or another and by themselves they are fine.

I have noted something off about percings, after being removed the buff/active effect stays in the magic effects menu. Is there any good way to make it go away when unequiping the percings or is it just something i gotta live with?

I tried a lot of things, changed versions, started a new game, there was always a problem with these devices specifically, the problem was always guaranteed and I could not understand why. I ended up going through all my 1019 mods in the left MO2 list and found a mod called "No Enchantment Restriction SKSE Remake" https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/34175?tab=description when it's disabled the problem is gone when enabled it appears. I tested on different saves, different conditions and with a new game.

Is theres a way to stop other NPC to automatically have and equip collars and stuff ?

Like I dont want everysingle male NPC in the game start wearing latex collars.

DD doesn't distribute devices on its own. If you're seeing devices on NPCs, it's because some other mod is putting them there.

Thanks, does any mod that could do that comes to mind ? I only have devious device - equip and devious lore installed other than devious device.

Sexual Fame does this. You need to untick the re-equip option on the second tab

That mod is already noted in the troubleshooting post as incompatible. usually, it's everything though, not specific devices. There's something in the ini you can set to make it work iirc.

Hey yall,

 

I'm usually not the type to ask in the threads for help, but I am genuinely confused as to why the fuck I can't get the Devious Devices animations working. I presume it's something on my end, considering there would be quite some confusion if everyone else couldn't get the anims working. So, let me describe my problem as follows:

 

Devious devices that change the animation of the user, namely yokes, breast yokes and armbinders, the players animation does not change. For the longest time I figured this was an issue in my hundreds long load order, maybe a problem with animations overwriting them. But, I tested it in a near-vanilla load order (only including DD and its requirements and their requirements, see below), but got the same result. Pictures attached, NSFW obviously.

So, I'll be honest with you, I'm pretty damn sure I've set things up properly. I'm not a scrub modder, though I am prone to mistakes so if you have any ideas please feel free to voice them. Bodyslide is done properly, with batch morphs checked (though I don't think it would matter). FNIS has been run, gender specific animations and skeleton arm fix ticked. Obviously literally no mod conflicts, only vanilla files are overwritten. As far as my shoddy memory recalls, this began when I updated to 5.1.x, but when I was on Devious Devices 4 it wasn't an issue? Though, to be honest, I am really not sure about that. Has anyone else had this problem? Any success fixing it? Anything would be great. Thanks guys!

Devious Devices doesn't automatically initialize when you start the game, you have to save and load once for that to happen.

Nope, just created this savefile literally 10 minutes ago, with the load order you see. This problem has persisted from my 400-plugin load order to this near-vanilla one, and I did make sure that DD has initialized. I am also only pulling from Devious Devices Expansion. I did also redownload the mod, because who knows maybe something got fucked during the download, but I don't think that did much of anything.

If going back to load order:

- you have some new ZAP installed that i have never seen before. It is HDT mod, looks like, but do you have HDT (SMP?) requirements installed?

- PapyrusUtil? If you have AE then SL's included version may not be enough.

- You have warnings (orange icon) in your load order.

- I see that i have MfgFix, i forgot what all it does for this...

 

Are all your mods AE compatible or have you not updated SE to latest and is SKSE also being updated at the same pace?

Also, ich bin ehrlich zu Ihnen, ich bin mir verdammt sicher, dass ich die Dinge richtig eingerichtet habe. Ich bin kein Scrub-Modder, obwohl ich anfällig für Fehler bin. Wenn Sie irgendwelche Ideen haben, zögern Sie nicht, sie zu äußern. Bodyslide wird korrekt ausgeführt, wobei Batch-Morphs überprüft werden (obwohl ich nicht glaube, dass dies eine Rolle spielen würde). FNIS wurde ausgeführt, geschlechtsspezifische Animationen und Skelettarmfixierung angekreuzt. Offensichtlich buchstäblich keine Mod-Konflikte, nur Vanilla-Dateien werden überschrieben. Soweit mein schlechtes Gedächtnis sich erinnert, begann dies, als ich auf 5.1.x aktualisierte, aber als ich auf Devious Devices 4 war, war das kein Problem? Allerdings bin ich mir da ehrlich gesagt nicht sicher. Hatte noch jemand dieses Problem? Erfolg beim Reparieren? Alles wäre toll. Danke Leute!

The fact that these animations do not run correctly or not at all - that is what every fourth/fifth request is about.
(yes - I had the problem too)
There can be many causes - in the solution guides there is always a reference to a conflict between "fnis" and the general SL animations.
Please take a look at the last 5-10 pages of this thread on how to proceed - because simply reinstalling "fnis" is not enough

I am on SE, not AE;

 

- I have removed Zaz, as I see it's not required. That version of Zaz is from this page but Zaz is working fine, animations and all. It's just those from DD.

- I overwrote PapyrusUtil over Sexlab. It shouldn't matter, they should be the same versions but I did it nonetheless.

- Those orange icons are Vortex flagging that DD is made for the original Skyrim SE. I can assure you, though, it is the SE version and Vortex is not correct, and it does not change how the mod is deployed in any way.

- MfgFix should only change facial animations, such as allowing the mouth to open for gags. I am pretty confident it has no impact on the character animations themselves. Nonetheless, adding it does not fix the problem, as expected. 

 

I'm going to bed, but I am willing to try anything recommended to me in the morning. Any thoughts welcome. Thanks for the help thus far, Zaflis.

 

Update: Thank you @Miauzi. Yeah, that'd do it, I had just reinstalled FNIS. Went and systematically reinstalled DD, FNIS, Sexlab, and other FNIS-using mods from a fresh archive. For anyone seeing this with the same issue, @zarantha gives a more detailed explanation on page 317 about why you can't just reinstall FNIS and call it a day. I swear I looked through like a hundred pages of this thread and didn't find it, I apologize. But thank you all for your help nonetheless.

Has anyone managed to get the armbinder kick animatino to work along side Skysa? skysa's unarmed animations keep playing instead of the armbinder one.

Devious Devices is not compatible with Nemesis.
