The NPC use different body models than your player character.
As a rule, in Bodyslide you adapt the meshes/nets to the template of your own character - those of NPCs require changing/updating EVERY piece of clothing.
Companion mods often bring their own body templates with them.
At some point you have to make a compromise between the desired look in the game and the work involved.

I use OBody so all my NPCs use various 3BA presets (at least I didn't notice anyone who don't). OBody manages to align all clothes appropriately in most of cases

-one hobble dress
-apair of boots

Everything else has seemed to work just fine so far. Just a couple instances.

Install netscriptframework and put there crash log from here: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\NetScriptFramework\Crash

Those items shouldn't crash if you don't have serious mod problems

Also full name of item will be nice. I can't find one hobble dress in game.

Version of Skyrim, full mod list, plugin load order will greatly help in problems solve.

In this topic I've found the newest 3BA bodyslide files.

You sure that you install newest 3BA from beta DD 5.2 section?

then i guess with that answer, it goes back to my original question. which of those fixes / patches are required and needed with the current version of DD SE and which are redundant ?

which is why i was suggesting perhaps adding these fixes as notes on the main post of the thread,

or another would be creating a new thread for hotfixes and such for DD (and maybe other mods) and maintaining the thread for these fixes

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, since someone dug out the post where pfiffy had one of the first AIOs, and he does mention that the AIO includes the HDT stuff, this is how I'd handle patches. What  is needed depends on each person's install, not all patches will be needed by everyone. So 'required' is pretty loose.

Only Kimy can update the mod description and files to add the patches or not, she still owns/controls the project, including the DD conversion to SE. A new download page that consolidates fixes is possible, but would depend on Kimy. I tend to think that falls under the 'redistributing files' permissions, which is not allowed. We have been doing patches and workarounds based solely on her good will, and she has final say on the patching. Keeping them in this thread gives her a good chance to see to what we're doing. I'd prefer seeing how much is fixed on the next release before taking the step on creating a patch page.

And OK, I have more in my memory than I thought. New mega post for now.

Short 'How to' BodySlide

AKA how to fix 'invisible' outfits.

  Reveal hidden contents

BodySlide needs to be run through your mod manager, except for NMM. If you don't know how to start bodyslide from your mod manager, either google bodyslide setup with your mod manager, or read the bodyslide description page on the nexus.

For UUNP, make sure you have the LE BodySlide files to set BodySlide up to work correctly in SE with UUNP:
https://www.loverslab.com/topic/126669-question-on-uunp-bodyslide-references-for-sse/?tab=comments#comment-2699861

Alternatively, the LE files have been converted to SE here: Legacy UUNP (for SE) at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus

  1. Launch bodyslide from your mod manager
  2. Check groups - either uncheck everything, or select "DD Framework CBBE SE" (or UUNP if you use that). This group applies to 5.0/5.1. If using 4.3, select DDa, DDx, Heretic, and catsuit groups.
    image.png.952ade0856357f6852c9ce570e7b25af.png
  3. Look for a DD outfit in the Outfit/Body section and select it. Make sure your preset shows up. If you have a custom preset, it's assumed you know  how  to fix it if it's not showing up.
  4. Build that one outfit using the 'Build' button in the bottom center. Check where it is outputting to.
    image.png.6454239eb1034d7791ccc674c60b79aa.png
  5. If it's not going to the data folder you have set something up wrong. Check your bodyslide settings and make sure you are starting bodyslide correctly.
    image.png.e2fd2473bec60b56f655a787c5acf6a2.png
  6. Since we're running through the mod manager, you should have your game folder as the output path. If you have trouble still, you can override where it gets written to in the advanced section. I recommend saving to a mod in the mod staging folder in your mod manager. When setting mod load order (not esp) this output mod should overwrite DD. Most people should have the output path empty.
    image.png.8decf2ffb6aced4716f5d235899cf651.png
  7. Now that you've got the paths setup correctly and have confirmed your preset is working with DD, you can batch build. Make sure Build Morphs are checked.
    image.png.b05ea3b2ca919ca75685d93b8d361ced.png
  8. Select the options you want, then let it run.

Playing the DD Beta prior to official release

If I have converted the files, the download link will have SE & VR in the file name and all you need to do is install like you normally would. If the latest release is unconverted, it will say LE and you need to do ALL of these steps.

  • Copy the \SKSE\Plugins\DeviousDevices.dll from DD 5.1 and save it to another location.
  • For CBBE\3BA users use the bodyslides here. Note that future betas may add additional outfits or make changes not reflected in these files:
  • Download the latest beta from the dev thread.
  • For Vortex and MO2 users, install the beta as normal. For NMM, extract the zip to your desktop or another working location.
  • For Vortex and MO2 users, open the staging/mod folder for the beta. NMM, open the extracted folder. Copy the path
  • Open CAO and paste the path in. Extract BSA (delete source files, backup optional), process meshes, process textures, process animations should all be selected with necessary optimization at minimum. Click run and wait for CAO to finish.
  • For NMM, zip up the extracted files and install as normal
  • Copy the DLL and CalienteTools folder into the install location and overwrite when prompted.
  • For the duration of the beta, don't worry about resaving the ESMs/ESPs. You will break the mod if this is done incorrectly. Leave them as form 43.
  • Batch build the outfits again - be sure to build any new outfits as well. While the may not fit, they could be invisible if not built at all.
  • Rerun FNIS.
  • Start the game. A new game is not required. If you've done it correctly Skyrim will not crash on launch, and most things will fit.

As time allows, I will put up a proper conversion, but this may not be possible during the beta. Beta 1 will be done, but I will be busy with the new changes and don't know if they will be done before Beta 2. My focus will be getting everything done for the actual release, not keeping up with each beta version.

You need apply your custom body reference to nipple piercings, copy new breast bones to piercings and if bones is very custom, you need change SMP bones configuration.

Most likely if breasts are moving, that there no problem into SMP configuration, but that you have different body as 3BA. You need load your nipple piercings into outfit studio, load into default body reference and apply breast bones to those nipple piercings.

But i answer to your question:

Into D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\skse\plugins\hdtSkinnedMeshConfigs or your mod folder for HDT SMP i hope or cbpc mod are file:

defaultBBPs.xml

Inside are body files configuration:

    <map shape="BaseShape" file="SKSE\Plugins\hdtSkinnedMeshConfigs\BaseShape.xml"/>

    <map shape="Gauntlets" file="SKSE\Plugins\hdtSkinnedMeshConfigs\Gauntlets.xml"/>

map shape are your body name into outfit studio: if you use custom body, you need add map shape name and path to that body shape configuration file name.

Then need edit or make configuration file for that shape. There you can see all file names for that with bone configuration

If says you body is named MyBody there must be record:

<map shape="MyBody" file="SKSE\Plugins\hdtSkinnedMeshConfigs\????.xml"/> where ???? is your body configuration file. In that file need define all bones and physics for bounce and values for bouncing (see any config files) And those bones must be defined in your body and also applied on nipple piercings or this will be useless.

Hey I got several questions, couldnt find it in the forums, wasnt looking too hard, haha. So my player is male, and I installed DD with no male and creature content. However, the events restricted my helmet, and now I cant put on a helmet, my face shows no overlay, and I tried using keys, not sure how to struggle.

I was asking around on the Faster SMP discord about the chains issue and someone asked if we've tried connecting them in frameInLerp and provided a code example.

Not sure if this would help or not or if someone's already tried this.

Edit: Should probably also mention that I bug reported this to the Faster SMP dev, and gave them screenshots of the broken items.

about the chains issue

What exactly chains?

faster HDT SMP have limited power to animate DD chains so it never work. Or work bad. Or work only specific chains.

This line is definitely from LE version or not any contact with DD chains.

Can someone please tell me how to fix this? I've tried searching it up but all i could find was the issue with the Calves not being added to items in the esp (which all of them have calves added) but it just won't go away no matter what I do

I'm trying to work with the Faster SMP author so that they do work, along with any half loop dependencies, since that feature was lost in the conversion of HDT PE to HDT SMP. Also that code example is not from LE, but just something someone provided as a shot in the dark way of fixing it. They said that it literally glues bones together, so I figured it wouldn't work.

If you got good results with author, ok, but at this point all is done what we can done in looping

Devices lock on, but don't restrain :(

Hi there!

Having finally downloaded Sexlab and DD on skyrim SE succesfully, I encountered a problem with the integration of the devices in-game. While they do lock on, they don't seem to restrict my character in any way (For example, when an armbinder is equipped, I can still punch stuff, pick up items, etc).

I think it's a problem with the integration of the devices, so I tried re-downloading the mod, but to no avail. I also tried searching up a loose DD integration file, but could only find an LE version.

I am not an expert on modding at all, and wouldn't know how to even view any papyrus logs, let alone share them. So here's a video I made to illustrate the problem.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

then i guess with that answer, it goes back to my original question. which of those fixes / patches are required and needed with the current version of DD SE and which are redundant ?

which is why i was suggesting perhaps adding these fixes as notes on the main post of the thread,

or another would be creating a new thread for hotfixes and such for DD (and maybe other mods) and maintaining the thread for these fixes

  Hide contents

    • Build the 'noHDT' version of the prisoner chains
    • Go into your bodyslide output and locate the default prisoner chains. The path should be:
      Meshes\devious\Heretic\Restraints\PrisonerChains01.nif
    • Copy that file and paste it again to make a duplicate.
    • Rename the copy to "prisonerchains01_kha.nif" for Khajiit chains. To fix Argonians, the file name would be "prisonerchains01_arg.nif"

Geräte rasten ein, aber halten nicht zurück :(

Hi!

Your problem is -> that you have no problem at all!
Let me explain briefly.
The parts you have selected and created do NOT restrict your character's freedom of movement as you assumed!
You only get the reduction in freedom of movement in the form of a reduction in abilities (e.g. one-handed weapons) with further mods.
Or you may have to equip other gadgets/parts such as the armbinder which "clasps" your hands behind your back and so you cannot pick up items (like keys) or use them (e.g. weapons or spells).
For example, there are gloves that have integrated D-rings - after you put them on, there is another function -> fix your hands on your back using the D-rings.
Restricted movement can also be very severe with the "right" parts - 2 examples
a) Hobble/ankle dress "extreme" - you can only take very small tripple steps
b) Slave shoes with shock function - walking/running is prevented by electric shock - the char falls to the ground
it can only be walked SLOWLY
--
Gag systems work - they not only block speech function - but also picking up potions or food.
For the survival mode, there are then 2nd stage systems where you can remove a "plug" for food intake - but the gag harness remains on.
--
You have to take a bit of time to try out which of the incredible variety from these mod packages is suitable for your own (desired) way of playing
