Deviously Cursed Loot uses the contraptions in two areas that I'm aware of (there may be more).

  • Furniture traps.
  • Pillories in towns for punishments from the Public Indecency feature.

Hi all, wondering if I am missing something: are configurable shield timers removed? My preferred way to play was with easy access to keys but with timers on the devices forcing you to wear them for some time, but I can't seem to find that option in the menus any more. If it's still around could someone help me out by explaining how to turn it on? and if it's no longer a thing I'm wondering why?

I think that the difficulty setting in DD changes that, but im not 100% sure. I don't recall it having sperate setting for the shield timers.

Thanks. Do you know what difficulty setting effects this? and if so what should I set it to to get around a 24-72 hour shield on each device?

 

I think in a past version, maybe even before SSE, you could set a min and a max time (I think default was 24 to 72 hours), and each device would tell you "a magical shield is covering the lock, it looks like its (strong/waning/nearly gone/etc)" or something like that.

Shield timers can't be removed. They are scripted and they are not in the MCM settings.

Hmm, I don't think I've seen the shield timers yet. I'm not trying to remove them I'm trying to enable them. Should they be happening?

They're on some devices but not all. I've come across them usually on chastity belts and bras.

In devious devices, i got all of the difficulty set to "handcuff girl", and the chastity bra for example, has a 32h lock shield

Alright thanks. Unfortunate that there's no way to chose what devices to apply it to, or at least an apply to all checkbox. Maybe something to hope for in future updates.

At this moment there is 2 variants:

1) Add to each inventory device two properties: LockShieldTimerMin - min time for shield, LockShieldTimerMax - max value for timer.

2) Recompile zadEquipScript before change default values of previous values to min and max from zero.

Still struggling with the gags being too low or mouth not opening during equip. I've downloaded several supposed fixes to try to apply it but nothing is working. Do I need to fix something with the animation?

If you've got old DD patches, remove them. They will break your game and are already included in DD 5.1.

 

Install MFG Fix and it's requirements (address library) and make sure it's loading. Check your skse64.log (don't look at skee64.log by mistake.) Make sure your are not on AE. Neither DD nor MFG Fix are supported on AE at this time. DD might mostly work, but MFG Fix won't work at all, even with the new address library.

 

Try with a vanilla preset character. Some presets customize the head mesh so that gags don't fit well. If that's you (too low) then you'll need to edit the files yourself in outfit studio. there are no bodyslides for gags.

I'm having an issue where DD items don't have any physics. The naked body has physics, and when both are visible such as with nipple piercings, the difference is highly visible. HDT SMP physics are working, as they work for both a tail mod and a different piercing mod. Everything was built with bodyslide and FNIS was run. I am using HDT SMP and CBPC, using the overrided xml from CBBE 3BA. 

Anyone have any ideas on what may be causing this and/or how to diagnose the issue further?

having a problem with jeweled/soul gem piercings. when they are equipped, they are not locked. other DDs are locked and working correctly. are they supposed to be locked? i noticed that the plugs are not locked but assume that is intended as chastity belt would keep them in place.

 

any suggestions on how to correct locking?

 The static clit piercing always looked weird to me during some sex animations, but mostly when using the crawl sneak animation replacer. So spend some time to figure out how to configure it for HDT-SMP. It worked out quite well in my opinion.

Which version did you build with bodyslide? One doesn't have physics.

What items aren't working?

What race and sex are you?

Which SMP mod do you have installed, and are you on AE or SE?

Do you see the SMP dll loading?

Anything in your HDT SMP log?

 

The devices each have their own xmls, it doesn't matter what body xml you use for smp.

Nor does FNIS matter for this. they aren't animations, but collisions basically.

Do you have something already in the piercing slot (slot 51)?

Do you have no enchantment restriction or similar mod?

 

That device is likely bugged. If you aren't getting a pop up to lock them on when you put them on, they aren't working.

Remove everything in your inventory to a container and try dropping the piercings on the floor somewhere, then try picking them up again and see if they work now.

It seems I had the non physics version built, and that was causing the issue. That said, having built the physics versions with bodyslide, the physics now works but is different physics from the naked body, resulting in a desync. This is present in the chastity bra as well as nipple piercings. The chastity belt has no physics at all, but I think it's not supposed to. This is using other physics nipple piercings as comparison, which do sync up with the naked body, specifically HDT Piercing Sets. However, full body items like the catsuit work fine, although I'm not sure if that's just because there's no visible naked body to reference. 

 

I tested this with a modded nymph race and vanilla imperial, both female. 

I have HDT-SMP v2.0 no avx, on SE. 
The smp.dll is loading, and the log is has nothing in it.

DD 5.1 does not come with 3BBB or BHUNP support. If you're using either of those bodies, you need to install a conversion for those bodies.

Both are linked in the troubleshooting post. BHUNP in the 5.1 section, 3BBB in the beta section (or there's an older one for 4.3 in the 5.1 section)

It says I'm supposed to use DD 5.2 beta1 3BA Bodyslides v0.1 for 5.1, but that mega link is dead. Should I use DD 5.2 beta 3BA Bodyslides v0.2 or 3BA Bodyslides for Devious Devices 4.3 AIO. 1.0.1?
