She's definitely my favorite companion of all. I was wondering if there are any plans for Ivy to be able to actually live above ground in sanctuary like everyone else who lives there. I've had her with me since installing her and when dismissing her for the first time this morning, I felt bad she was only able to go back into the cellar. Even if she doesn't interact with the other settlers, it'd still be great to see her out and about, walking around Sanctuary and interacting with the settlement and the things in it. I noticed she asks about finding spare parts and such for her. Maybe a quest where the player is able to find some to give to her for repairs. Thank you again for all the time and imagination you've put into creating this masterpiece. You should be able to send her to any workshop, like all other companions.  (edit) Been working on (even more) idle dialogues. Ivy now has 185 'your thoughts?' lines. It'll take you hours to go through all of them. I'm going through the final test phases of 3.1. It will be offering up a lot of/improved goodies:  - Radiant quests debugged, 100% working, tested (and fun!) - 3 mini quests added (Get Ivy some Jet, Mutfruit, Bubblegum or Sugar Bombs). <-- these start depending on Ivy's idles. As she has many, it can take a while before they start. You can give Ivy what she needs and you will receive a bit of XP, nothing else yet (e.g. no second quest yet where Ivy gives you something back, for instance Ivy's special Mutfruit Pie, if you gave her mutfruit.. that will be coming in a later release) - Many more Idles and much more dialogue in general!  Ivy will have 3278 lines of dialogue covering an excess of 2200 topics in the 3.1 release. 3

I'm missing something then. I never get an option to send her anywhere else. The only thing that shows up is her going back to the cellar. She's not being managed by any follower mods. I'll check again and see if there's something I missed in her chat options or the tape she came with. Thank you.  And the new stuff you're working on sounds wonderful. Can't wait to try it all out. I love her idles and I actually find myself forgetting all about my quests and settlement stuff when I start talking to her. She is truly a pleasure to have with me when I travel, do stuff with my settlements and anything else I do. Even started a new game so I can start my journeys off with her and dogmeat. I tried plenty of other followers in my games, but none of them have ever brought as much enjoyment as Ivy.

She's starting to take months now in development and what started out as basically a joke became quite serious, the more I came to learn about Ivy. And the more I travel with her, the more dialogue I want her to have. I was going through the memory archive yesterday and noticed nearly 2 in game days had passed as we talked. This is why I really want to have the hugging and snuggling on bed animations, with the dialogue wheel. But it might be impossible to do in Fallout 4.  In my mind, you can activate the bed with R for the option to 'talk and snuggle' with Ivy. You then both lie down and you can switch at will between 1st and 3rd person, then the dialogue wheel for chatting comes up, where you can ask her thoughts, access her memory archive, etc.. But I'm afraid it will be quite impossible to do on my own, if it's possible at all in the engine (!)  Anyway, sorry for the long winded response. Thanks for enjoying Ivy! 1
thesimpsonsguy Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Hello again. I'm still not getting an option to have a home option when dismissing her. Just the message immediately saying she's returning to the cellar. Couldn't find anything specific in her dialogue, or on the holo-tape either. I hope I didn't screw something up.Â

Ulysses Smirked Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Ivy has been having lots of fun lately taking photos.  Taking the piss over my "fishing accident".  Spoiler  Cloudy morning in Sanctuary and a little surprise outside the cabin:  Spoiler  How did she hold the camera so steady while we was having a shag?  Spoiler  I guess this speaks volumes on how she feels about power armour  Spoiler  3

As Ivy does not officially support follower mods, that doesn't mean you can't try a little finessing with load order to make her work with AFT. I think others on the thread are using follower mods with Ivy included and having success.  Did you try moving Ivy above AFT in load order? 1

Below AFT, the dismiss dialogue was there, but she was never actually dismissed. Above, where it originally was, didn't work. Only way I got the option to choose her dismiss location was to disable AFT. Before trying those options, I triple checked and AFT still showed it wasn't managing her in any way, so it seems it's just having it activated causes interference. Going to check again in case it's not AFT, but another mod interacting with it,causing it to interfere with her.
Krazyone Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I've been using the latest version of Ivy, and she's hilarious... Especially what she thinks of Preston Garvey...  Idea... A lab, behind a big, metal door, with lots of Ivy prototypes lining the walls. Maybe reprogrammed by the Coursers, and you have to fight them. Being prototypes, they'd be naked, or with very little clothing on.  I remember that there is a lab already in the game, behind a large steel door, with a unlimited laser gun in the room. It would be a nice surprise if we could find, and possibly fight prototype MK1 and MK2 Ivy's.  Just some ideas...  I watched this YouTube video about the current state of sex robots, and was thinking that the video feels like its talking about Ivy Mk1's. Female Robots, crappy at the minute, but getting there. 1

Sure sounds like you might be barking up the right tree here. I would do the same - give it a go without AFT and see if that does it first. We can always go from there...  That'll teach you to dismiss the finest companion FO4 has ever seen!  Just kidding, friend. About the dismissing, not the finest companion part. 2

I have to have already met her, recruited her and have her home chosen before activating AFT. It won't try to manage her and won't interfere with her at all. So I'll just have to go back to my save after leaving the vault, do her quest and recruit her. Then I can activate AFT for for any vanilla followers I meet later. A lot of progress lost, but I do love that fresh out of the vault feeling, before the factions and the dependents who populate the settlements. 1
Prolific Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I am pretty far into the game and I have yet to get any quest from Ivy. I have zero conflicts in my load order with Ivy, but I am starting to wonder if the 'corrections' I made with UFO4 patch are breaking those quest's of hers. My fixes where made at the very top level of the quest where your mod makes no edits. Your dialogue edits below are untouched. I may revert those changes and see if she offers the quests.  Are the quests offered in normal interaction with Ivy, or do I need to be listening to W.I.V.S?

That is what it is all about when modding PC. I feel your pain, but also enjoy the challenge and that fresh out-of-the-tin feeling when leaving the vault just like you.  I've been doing a lot of the same thing myself with Player Head Tracking and Comments mod. I am so close to figuring out how to make it work with Ivy. Cos I want to be able to comment and compliment Ivy in the game for maximum immersion as well as this is an integral part of PHTaC. The one thing I finally figured out is the head tracking settings I was using was causing Ivy to bob her head unnaturally when in com camera. Now if I can just get my character to comment when Ivy does (just like he does when settlers say something), I will be immersed in a bathtub of immersive immersion!  [edit] If you're interested, please see my blog if you want some examples of what this mod does with Ivy with link to video:  https://www.loverslab.com/blogs/entry/6524-favourite-ivy-moments/ 2

The radiant quests somehow don't start in the 3.0 release, this is a known issue which has been fixed in 3.1, which will be released 'any day now'. As it did work before, I am suspecting one of the Fallout updates to have broken it. Since then I've dropped using quest stages and am using global variables to keep track of my quests. Far more stable, far less proned to errors like this. 3
PanamaRed Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Congratulations on a great mod. Ivy has become my favorite companion! 1

Sierra 21 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Hi Reginald_001,  You are a total machine at how fast you can update out beloved Ivy and give her so much new stuff. I cannot wait to start a new game with 3.1 as with every Ivy update I always start a new game so I can experience all her newly added material. If I was rich you would have a lifetime supply of Jaffa Cakes my friend. 2
