Have you tried dismissing Ivy? That has been an AFT problem.

I ask because the chance that you have tried to dismiss Ivy is small...

Sorry for the late reply .

I dismiss Ivy by AFT  and works fine to me, the only thing  is when i upgrade ,and do the mission to get the  voucher ,  i need speak two times to her before she start follow me and i get two holotapes .

I try dismiss normal and works ,  until the mensage appears Ivy goes to root cellar in Sanctuary.

That most likely means your save game wasn't totally clean before upgrading? Also, after speaking to her and giving her the voucher, wait a couple of seconds before speaking to her again. The script holds for a few seconds before actually making Ivy your companion so all important messages can display.

thanks for that info ;) , the next update i do that. And so far everything works fine to me , lines , backstories ,quests , coments about locations and factions.

I downloaded your "Ivy" mod, and let me say it is without a doubt a tremendous accomplishment.

I have not even tapped into her many facets that come with the mod.  You voice actress is both believable and talented.

Everything that you said Ivy could do she seems to be able to deliver.

However, her scripted dialogue, sounds like it was written by a very horny, inexperienced, 16 year old boy.:confounded:

I hang around some very tough women, and we have all got a laugh for some of the things Ivy says. That being said, none of us would talk like that.

So the question: Is Ivy voiced this way because the person who "created" her in the lab was a man?

If so I am amazed at the amount of thought and work that went into this masterpiece of yours ....great job.

another question, does Ivy come with her own set of sex animation? or are they initiated through "fore play"?

The one to blame for Ivy's behavior is, and always will be, Dr. Stein. And why she is the way that she is, eventually reveals itself through all of her dialogue. You can always, and at any time, engage the NX-2C's profanity filters through the service menu. A long story short in the spoiler:

Dr. Stein fell in love with another Institute scientist. When she rejected him (horribly) he made a sexbot that looked just like her, then his love turned to hate and he made it so the sexbot would degrade herself as much as she possibly could in a form of revenge against the other scientist. When they (Institute leadership at the time) found out, they wanted to throw him out of the institute, but he left with the sexbot and some gen 1's, then he implanted Deborah's brain and made Ivy into what she is today.

Animations are not included, the myriad of other mods can provide that better than I ever could.

ps: There is no voice actress involved. A speech engine was used to create all dialogue.

run into a issue with the hair addon, DL the right mod as you suggested, worked great but it changed my hair color to match hers and wouldnt let me change my hair color to anything else not sure which mod is fighting with which, cause i deactivated the hair color mod which in turn deactivated the hair addon. i can live with white hair and i did try a different hair color file from the one you say to use as well to see it would fix it, it didnt just gave her (in her new look and might add looks very nice with this mess up) and myself blue hair. all in all Ivy is amazing just WOW where did you get the idea for this? best companion out there 100/100

Sounds like you downloaded the hairmod that overrides existing haircolours, instead of the one that adds them (2nd option in the files list of that mod, last time I checked)

Clean your save as in the instructions, before upgrading, or start a new game.

Or are you saying this is happening with a new game start? In that case check your load order, or if you are using any multicompanion mods?

Thanks for respond .

It was new start , but you're right - i have Unlimited Companion Framework (and companions - Heather Casdin , Tori (To-R1 Victoria standalone) & Elen The Cartographer (curently not hired) .

Ivy (and her hair add on) is in the end of order , after her there are only mods for her hair and clothes .

I always set my timescale to 10, because 30 makes the days seem like minutes. Would it be possible to set a global that we can adjust to our liking so we can have ivy a little more or less chatty?

Try moving Ivy to the top of your load order.

I'll look into it but it might be impossible. The idle chatter routine counts on the fact that the dialogue is repeated after (x) amount of time in game. I think it's technically impossible to do so without completely reinventing her chatter system. :open_mouth:

You can compromise and set it to 20?

Also note that other bugs can rise from this, in the vanilla game and in other mods, as many scripts and dialogue topics depend on 'in game' time passed.

I think the global multiplier option sounds good. I'm sure many people would like the flexibility of that via holotape.

Could you not set the multiplier to x?

Too many instances?

It's not technically possible without completely rewriting Ivy's chatter code.

Nope , nothing changed .

It is probably not your mod - few days before with Ivy 3.0 i did not follow her quest , but when needed to give Grognak Axe to Heather Casdin (that is part of her quest) she sayd that her stash is too full .

Maybe it is , as you say , multicompanion mod .

Cheers

Ivy is working good after the upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1 and your fix for the hair mod.

I still can't complete the voucher quest; I use the console to complete it, but otherwise Ivy is working well.

Keep up the great work!

Well, That ain't gonna happen then. ;)

There should be a way FOR YOU to change the topics themselves in Fo4Edit, but I'd wait with doing that until I've stabilized the releases.

What you would do in that process in F04Edit... is go into the ivy_idle_chatter topics then for each group (there are about 5 of these so it's not a lot to set) and change the waiting time from 4 hours in game time (now) to 2 hours in game time or any arbitrary number you want.

In fo4edit you will want to change the 'reset' hours to something lower.

Change the values to a relative percentage lower as that you've set your timescale to:

So if for a timescale of 30, the rest hours are 4, then you will want to make it a factor 1.35 for a timescale of 10.

You'll need to do this for at least two group topics 'hourly banter' which is set to 4 hours, 'greatass' which is set to 16 hours.

Note that 'hourly banter' is just idles and 'greatass' only is spoken by Ivy when the player is crouching/sneaking.

If I could use a variable in the 'don't repeat after x' (read: Reset hours) value then this would've been easy.. as it is... not. ;)

Well, that's not bad at all. Thought it would need to edit each entry (+3000? Pass).

Once Ivy is stable (well her mod anyway), I'll do an esp patch.

Unless you beat me to it...

I'm sure there are players that would like Ivy more(less?) chatty.

Edit: forgot the not.

Most of Ivy's dialogue is tucked nicely into groups. I learned that the hard way after relocating 1500 lines of dialogue somewhere midway in her creation process. ;)

On that technical side I did some improvements last night. I switched all the 'your thoughts' to a different scene. The CK was starting to stop responding whenever I opened the 'recruitment' scene, due to the hundreds of lines of dialogue in there. Now each time she tells her thoughts, this is actually a completely different scene. This should also help in load times/memory consumption for all of her dialogue. The memory archive already got that treatment earlier.
