Happy Easter to you too! I know the track could be softer but it's tough with the townies crumping and windmilling on the dance floor lol for some odd reason they came out in full force too, ugly, badly dressed and bald ?

This cracked me up - it sums up the sims experience so perfectly! ?

 

On an unrelated topic, I've been putting together a new sim lately and you all already know her. I've tried to model her face/hair after the 2013 reboot where she was at her prettiest (not even a question for me). The outfit is closer to the older titles (e.g. Legend), for even more sexiness. The look I was going for required a lot of CC editing, including the dirt, scars, band aids, bandage, body hair, earrings and more (nearly run out of slots there). Anyways, here are a few photos of her alone in the wilderness, resting by the dying fire.

 

A moment of respite. A chance to steel oneself against the coming horrors.

Amazing job!!! I couldn't agree with you more about that being my favorite Lara (it's also my favorite game), and I'm a huge Lara Croft fan --I even bought a bunch of different statuettes and action figures. I don't even collect those. I just bought them for the sake of having them. Anyway, it looks amazingly like her. I hope you share her one day; If not, I'll just quietly envy you until.... (I can't imagine that far ahead). Thanks for sharing the pics. They're much appreciated! ????

She looks great @erplederp you nailed it there! I'd dirty her socks a bit to keep in contrast too but she's pretty perfect and it's very uncanny ?

 

@Diodonea there's a couple of ways you can do this!

One way requires the tray importer and the other way requires s4studio, 

 

 

Using the tray importer... 

In the game, save all of your households and lots to your library, 

Then outside of the game, use the program to export them all, 

Create a new folder on your desktop and call it mods, 

Now dump all the cc from the households and lots into it, (when you do this, ensure that copies/duplicates are overwritten not renamed) 

Now open the the actual mods folder and then begin to move the things that run your game, eg wicked whims, pose-player and pose packs, script mods and traits, resource cfg etc into your newly created mods folder on the desktop. 

 

Now this folder has been stripped down and only contains cc, put it somewhere safe

 

Now move your newly filled mods folder from the desktop to the game's folder, 

After following this, your game has a folder that contains purely the content you need while the bulk of extra stuff is stored outside of your game, 

 

 

Using s4studio... 

If you open packages with, or drag/drop onto the s4studio.exe/shortcut, 

It'll open the package file into a viewer where you can see the item worn on the rig as it appears in CAS, 

This way you can open packages straight up and make a quick decision on whether to keep it or not,

Thank you very much Ro! the truth is that I usually use Tray importer, but the truth is that the option S4Studio is good to know if you want to keep. but it is a tedious job.

On a more serious note, I used the tray importer to identify the few tens of CC my favourite sims use and then moved all the rest of the CC to a different folder so the game could start quicker (if we're talking about clothing and such). I keep the few other (mostly gameplay, cheats, posing,...) mods I use in a different folder. The only thing that bothers me about the solution is that some randomly generated sims end up being naked and/or bald after moving the mods. That's why I also dislike the "allow for random" flag for most of the CC, especially if it is not in MAXIS-match style.

 

Edit: Yep, exactly as R-Lo says! The "Export with CC" option is very handy for this kind of stuff. You still do have to go through all your sims/households though.

in my case, I'm only interested in removing Clothes and some clothing, I have many. more or less I have the folders sorted like you. by categories and sub folders. I like the order especially when I have much CC and mods

I can not believe it, I just fell in love, R-Lo, I'm sorry, Kitty I love it, but I'm in love with Lara Croft since her appearance.
Impressive, it's the first Lara Croft in the sims that I like, it's really good.

Thank you for the praise, @2cool4u_1! Nice tidbit about the action figures ?. I have to admit that I haven't played many TR games, but I did play the reboot and Legend I mentioned and both are excellent games IMO. I specifically remember Legend's soundtrack too, so beautiful:

And I'd like to upload her, eventually. But before that I'd like to:

a) put some thought into her other outfits like for my other sims - the look I shared is the only real outfit she currently has, although I do not expect the other outfits to be this time consuming or accurate as the iconic outfit which I feel deserved the extra care

b) cross-reference her facial features against in-game screenshots, concept art or even Megan Farquhar photos and see if I can further improve her looks or keep them as they are (which would be fine too), I even installed Peek Through in order to overlay the images directly over the game as I do the changes

So in a couple of days, hopefully?

 

@R-Lo Thank you! You're totally right about the socks, they do look a bit out of place being squeaky clean like this. The dirt layer I use is just above the skin, so I'll probably add a simple dirty swatch for the socks (very useful ?). It's all in the details .

 

@Josua1970 Glad you like her! To be fair, I was not expecting to be able to do her justice when I started working on her either (and I did look around the gallery for Laras by other simmers). I think a lot of the "impact" really comes from the hair (this one by Kijiko I only recolored) which a) is made expertly and b) does have a kind of striking similarity to her in-game hairstyle.

Hooray! ? I'm so busy with my sim-dressing project (putting in every minute I can before a May 1^st release), I won't have time to play with her for a week or so. Feel free to take all the time you need, as long as it's by the end of next week. Just kidding.? Seriously though, you can't rush perfection, and even if you took a month or two, that'd be great. ?

Hahaha, I know R-Lo, I know it's not yours, you know that Kitty has a corner in my heart, I hope someday to have a sister of hers.
Erplederp, if I like it? I love it, I've gone through all the Tomb Raider and the version that I've made would place it between the Legends and the Chronicles, it's the 2 Laras that I liked the most, it's perfect, I think I have the team of the first Tomb Raider, I have to look at it, otherwise I'll look for it and pass the link, it's one of the sims I'm looking for and I have not liked any Lara until I've seen yours.
