Yes, that pesky thing called real life does get in the way, there's so much more I want to do. For 10 years I've done clothes and hair mainly. Would like to get more into modding and animations. I work full time and don't have a lot of time to learn more, also lack ideas a lot, don't get as many ideas as I used to R-Lo looking forward to this new project, sounds exciting. Also when the school's are off my commute to work is easier as the buses are empty lol It's a bit daunting to animate at first but but if you start with a simple idea then it will take you through some steps which will make things clearer, posing the rig is half the battle won already! If you feel that a pose you make looks rigid then it's time to think about the physics of the posture you made, Like is this going to be subject to weight or gravity or momentum etc, It's often a case of twisting or bending of the spine or pelvis, maybe lifting the shoulders by the clavicle, When it gets too frustrating... Post here! There's many more pairs of eyes that can take a fresh look and help point out a suggestion ?

kortjakje Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 @R-Lo: stunning! Yeez how do you manage to really flip the pages of the book, not only making the gesture of the hand? Anyway, I'm motivated to work on my animations (WIP's) again. And for my flamenco dance animations, I might use Daggers rig. But first I have to play around with that rig. Below some stills of the animation. After looking at it now (they are a year old or so) I want to remake them all over again. Not fluent enough. But as a still/pose they will do. 3

I'm happy with that little detail and it wasn't as tricky as I thought it would originally be ? I was actually dreading how it was going to turn out! It's treated as an object animation and the book has a rig of its own with bones for the pages? With Turbo's latest work this will be enabled in a slightly new way ? as well as the regular way, Daggers rig is especially good for a dancing animation I've noticed and it's worth looking at for sure, You gotta give yourself more credit for those poses ? they look very natural and I wouldn't change anything apart from adding some happy facial expressions 1
kortjakje Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 @R-Lo: Actually, these aren't poses, but 3 animations of my trying to make Flamenco Dance. (although they were based on poses I made for The Sims 3, a long time ago). But I'm happy you like them. I'll put a vid of 3 animations put together down below. Now I look back, I see it's almost 2 years ago I made these. I think it's a nice start (much too big of a project for a beginner) and now I have learned some more on animating I can work on it again. (some parts are too slow. Needs tweaking on the shoulders and using Daggers rig will prevent the sliding of the feet. But I'm not sure I can manage this rig. I mostly use the rigs of BrokenSims. Mostly the 'problem' is that I think it's not good enough for uploading (and if, where to upload) and thus never finishing a project....... That's a mental issue, I know. So what do you think? 2

R-Lo Posted April 14, 2019 Author Posted April 14, 2019 @kortjakje that's a really nice vid! It already shows a lot of attention to details in the moves, for the parts that feel stiff it's either a case of bending the back or other leg to show the weight or looking at moving another part of the body at the same time but for a longer or shorter duration if that makes sense? 1

Yeah, I'm working on the action editor and remove the unnecessary bones and moving something more to the beginning or let the movement last longer. But this is all made with the Rig of BrokenSims. And working with the rig of Dagger is so unfamiliar. I hardly understand what I'm doing, so perhaps ask in the animation forum. (f.e. I found the joints of the fingers, but where are the bones of the face?)

I found the joints of the fingers, but where are the bones of the face?) That's good! Sometimes it's not about adding things but sometimes removing parts, I try not to set too many key frames and work in layers of movement by locking bones in individually, Sometimes it helps to actually make the movement with your own body (goofy as it sounds) then you get a better idea of what moves first, It's kinda like a chain reaction when moving which changes depending on the direction, Eg, when thrusting, the upper body will move before the pelvis, When reaching up, it starts with the shoulder then elbow but reaching down will start at the elbow and travel up to the shoulder, When in the editor, you can press s to time stretch frames or a shift clicked group, Pressing b will allow you highlight a group of bones in editor and on the rig, I've not really heard of broken sims rig before, I've tried a few out and didn't really get the feel but Daggers rig is surprisingly easy for me to use, The hardest part is trying to pinpoint what I'm going to do next lol, The face bones are set on a different layer, I'll try show a pic shortly, Basically the body, face and fingers bones are set to different toggles to make it easier on the eye, It's possible to shift click on each layer to show them all at the same time too 2

R-Lo Posted April 15, 2019 Author Posted April 15, 2019 Ended up with a few different variations of this which can be mixed and matched a bit for a club setting ? I assigned a couple of them to work with Noirs pole stage too ? 6
kortjakje Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 @R-Lo: thanks for your advice. I've sent you a message because now we are going a bit off topic. 1
R-Lo Posted April 15, 2019 Author Posted April 15, 2019 From TURBODRIVER... On April 16th, a new game patch for The Sims 4 will be released. This is supposedly going to be one of the biggest bugfix updates, and it comes with an introduction of freelance careers. This patch might be likely to break a lot of mods, especially tuning mods (custom jobs, custom traits, custom interactions, game behavior overrides) and UI mods. Before playing the game, all of the mods you use should be fully updated for the new patch.WickedWhims requires all of your mods to be updated and functional or you will encounter issues. You can disable automatic game updates by switching off the "Automatic game updates" setting in Origin's Application Settings. 4
kortjakje Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 Oh crap..... Good to be remembered. Checked and my settings are not to update automatically. 1

Josua1970 Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 Hello, I'm not going to share a great image, because without the text it does not look like anything, but it's going to be an interlude for a story, the text is missing, which is what gives it meaning. In the end I decided to set up a story, to recover part of my characters from the dark angel, it will be a little different, since I will try to link 3 different stories. I said the image, I have titled it solitude and when I have the text you will understand why to call it that way. It is a test of reshade, apart I also put 2 projects that I have to mount, 2 murals one is in New York, the other I do not remember and I need a third, but that is known by almost everyone, the Kiss, located in the wall of Berlin. Reshade test My game profile New York Graffiti Kamikaze Graffiti 4
