Thinking that the gels may have finally grasped the concept of march discipline.

But there again, looking at the shot I notice that one of them is on the other side of the river. Ah well.

The position of your blade looks pretty unhealthy...

I'm pretty sure it was okay at the beginning of the game. I think it may be because those boots make the thighs a size meatier than they actually are. Similar problem with their 2-Handers. Fits to the back but cuts into the butt cheek.

I had this problem with one of my followers in an earlier game. It looked so painful that I decided to tweak the position of two handed weapons in her skeleton.

I think it's right mouse button to tilt.

Would have been too easy if this would have worked right away.

I guess you have a map mod installed or non at all or the right skyrim.ini settings.

I had to add this to the ini stettings to have an effect on the map:

[MapMenu]
fMapWorldYawRange=3600.0000 (or is deactivated for that map ?‍♂️)
fMapWorldInitialPitch=90.0000
fMapWorldMaxHeight=130000.0000 => need to rise that one
fMapWorldMinHeight=5000.0000 => not sure what happens if I lower that one^^

At least I have a straight view on the map now

Your right, crazy stuff, I'm way to careful with those settings ?

Still can't turn it but with that crazy zoom now it's not even needed anymore.

I still manage to get lost... something distracts me all the time in Skyrim.

Perhaps they heard the rattling of 833  25mm AP rounds? ? Surely such things are against the lore?

Nah, only the 25mm HE rounds and the 30mm dual wield autocannon shells of my follower might streeeeech the lore a bit.

AP rounds are just cheap to produce => A bit fire salt and loooots of steel recycled by a pocked mimic (that's one happy fellow).

Ask me again about lore friendliness after some predator plasma rounds hit you or a MP dual wielding Judgement Wench (Legendary) hunts you thru dwarven dungeons ?

Luckily I didn't meet any aliens so far ?

Although with RunDragonbornRun + Deadly Wenches (Legendary) + Additional Encounters + SDcages Badass Everything + SLS + Ultimate Dragons/Chaos Dragons + Estrus Spider/Dwemer/Chaurus + SIC Legendary I'm happy just to meet 2 unleveled predators ?

Damn your right, I thought I had used the silenced 25mm ghost assault rifle, seems I grabbed the wrong one xD

I find that 65 x 2H solves most of my problems. It's all in the tactics. I launch one of my legendary forward power attacks and slam into the wall 2m away from the enemy and while they are distracted thinking "WTF?", my gels pile in and make mince-meat of them.

We've just finished Gloomreach and the gels did it in more or less one go. They just ran off in all directions killing falmer.

I was always wondering, what fun is there to have over 50 followers. I mean, nothing can be a challenge but that just made me laugh. I think I get it now.

I only play for laughs. I've never played vanilla Skyrim.

We did Liar's Retreat earlier and as we were about to leave and the two bandits enter the inn part one came out with the line "you've picked a bad time to get lost, friend". I thought "No, you've picked a bad time to come home, pal". Turned out that I was right and he was wrong. ?

I just had to have her in my party for that name, even if she is a bit on the CBBE side of Skyrim.

Guess she needs the counter weight for those guns ?

Starting with nothing, Sophie found herself at toll point in the road. Not believing the woman demanding 200g worked for the Highways commission and not actually having 200g. She made a run for it. Chased by formerly mentioned woman, hurling threats and insults, oh, and arrows. Lots of arrows from her friends.

a.jpg.4cf4720e2668eb24f51b41610a5d2a16.jpg

So she went to get help

3.jpg.579c3c4c116277620dfbabce2ce8522f.jpg

Her new friends made short work of the angry, insulting woman and then did the same to her boss, when they were introduced.

"No one bests an Orc" Except a Giant, apparently. They now seemed interested in helping Sophie some more.

20191023163300_1.jpg.ddf3e5745e5a805f6ef438daadbd66aa.jpg

Sophie got the distinct impression she was now hanging with the "wrong" crowd and needed some way to ditch her new buddies. But how?

Then it came to her, The Brave Stormcloak Soldiers camped nearby.

20191023163505_1.jpg.0327a0bc28d93f45370b0978f4a38a12.jpg

Oh, right. Not so brave then. The Stormcloak Soldiers certainly talked a good fight but the talk was more that of a spectator than a combatant. "Get Him, Kill Him!" They would shout. Which was supposedly meant as encouragment for the naked, young woman to engage with the one of the giants. She declined and instead ran around the camp like a headless chicken, which was basicly what the Stormcloaks did shouting their battlecry "I'm getting out of here!"

Eventually the Stormcloaks got the idea... And died at the hands of the Giants. Still, they died well and that's what every Nord wants, right "Fight, or Die well"
What does that even mean?

So now Sophie had no choice but to try the brave men and women of the Whiterun City guard!

Still naked, as some idiot had installed a mod that not only all but guaranteed no armour or clothes dropped or looted would fit but also meant that any weapon she picked up would break after one or two uses.
Still, they'd also installed a mod that turned Skyrim into a tropical paradise so at least she wasn't freezing to death.

Following Sophie's example. One of the Giants also chose to ditch his clothing. Didn't make him any less scary to Sophie, quite the opposite, in fact.

20191023165806_1.jpg.22a6c1dbf7ad4e3aa46a791068ca041b.jpg

Finally, at Whiterun, well the Meadery at least. Now surely she was safe. Well... Not so much.

20191022171244_1.jpg.e00333a521ae699cb7ecde2f93bd14b0.jpg

Did you know that a Giant can hit you so hard that pretty much everything you are wearing or wielding is knocked off you body, Leaving you naked? Well, that's what happens in the world that Sophie inhabits.
Of course this didn't currently matter to Sophie, she was already naked. Still, must of been a shock to Stormcloaks, and bandits and Whiterun guards. The latter did fair slightly better than the Stormcloaks and also seemed more inclined to get involved. Out come was ultimately the same. Lots of naked corpses.

But wait!... Is that the Companions Sophie hears? In that farmers field? Sophie is saved, the Companions are legends!
It turns out the Companions are already dealing with their own Giant. Oh this is going to be bad... It isn't long before Farkas, Ria and Aela are all unarmed and naked and Sophie's problems have increased by a 1/3.

20191023173328_1.jpg.52a9bf265753a76d7669f1f962320c36.jpg

Sophie has no choice but to head to the Western Watch Tower for a last stand. Luckily The giants are unable to break into the tower and two guards, just with their bows (and the sense not to go out and fight three Giants in hand to hand) manage to finish them off.
Sophie did try to help with a bow she picked up and with lots of steel arrows from Stormcloak soldiers corpses (would have been a waste to leave them there) but the bow broke on her second shot.

One of Sophie's brave saviours, He survived, not sure where his armour is now but with that 'tache and hung like he is. Sophie thinks it's time she left the Western Watch Tower in case he expects a special "Thank you."

20191022171912_1.jpg.57adda9b2b1788dc742d738e25bd9d33.jpg

The Companions, Farkas, Ria and Aela, came to invite Sophie to try out for their team. Farkas told her she looked strong.

"Well, yeah! Do you know how much I squat, Bruh?"

Of course, they were sans clothing after their Triple Giant encounter but least Aela had the decency to throw something on first.

20191022172049_1.jpg.17773cdbf163f744acf5e61ccf6a2c37.jpg

Although it would appear she missed

20191022172059_1.jpg.ec6d5236532ac65a408fafb00b01ccd9.jpg

Thanks to a special Detect Drop Item ability, Sophie managed to find a Skyrforge Bow, Dagger and Greatsword. Along with lots of Steel arrows and bits of armour, Scale and Steel.
Which was never the purpose of this endeavor, no. She just couldn't pay the Toll, that was all.

This also took a few attempts, an unarmed/unarmoured, 1st level character on Master difficulty can find a small pack of wolves challenging so it didn't always work out and a lot of the attacks from giants have an AOE component.

@Mez558 great story and I'm awarding an extra point for the excellent use of cheese tactics. Running around getting everyone to fight everyone else is one of my favourites when I solo.

Chunky little thing isn't she? Did you make her yourself?

I'm going to get this one to the 70 followers mark and then call it a day. Options for the next run are Dolly Daydream, Bunty Sidebottom, Geras the Younger or Big Sid.

TopographicMapFullV121.zip

(for the map, might be even still tilt able, but map markers will move all over the place just from moving the map in 2d)

+

Flat Map Markers

(fixes the map markers to 2D and stops them from thinking they could escape Skyrim if they try hard enough)

+

SKyrim.ini:

[MapMenu]

fMapWorldInitialPitch=90.0000 => makes it so that the map is in the right angle if you open it
fMapWorldMaxHeight=600000.0000 => tried 300000 last time, still not enough to get the satellite view, not even close.
fMapWorldMinHeight= 500.0000 => tried 1000 last time, not sure yet how that looks like, for single pixels still to high tho.

+

just saw this (yes, yes, first read, than play ??)

Configuration of Flat Map Markers
The mod can be configured in the file SKSE/Plugins/flat_map_markers.ini.
If you want to toggle 2D/3D manually you can set a hotkey and disable the auto-toggle functionality.
To use a map other than those mentioned in the requirements you will need to make some changes:

  • Adjust the MarkerHeight to match the z-coordinate of the map plane (TES5Edit: usually the "Cell Z Offset" in the map's Worldspace).
  • Add a [... Map] section for every map that is in 2D.

=> not tried yet ?

Thanks, inspiration for my tactics come from Fansy https://www.notacult.com/fansythefamous.htm

But yes, it's always good to make something else fight for you, especially when what you are fighting can one shot you.

Yes, made her myself. My characters are generally built but not normally that short. She's inspired by Sophie Arvebrink (who is apparently 5'3" and 160lbs)

I think my rig would die with over 20 followers - Honestly I just used to see what you were doing and wonder why, it never occured to me that it was just for shits and giggles at what AI did with that many followers until you mentioned them all running off in different directions in black reach. I still laugh when I think about it now.
