If someone can answer this question for me. Just for curiosity, once the character gets brainwashed and mind controlled, there is a way of getting out by letting conditioning points go low enough?

If you avoid people you can let your hypnotic conditioning drop below the danger threshold. However, any "hypnosis perks" will remain - you are stuck with them if you don't use the console to remove them. If you do not want that, it's incredibly easy to avoid a buildup of hypnotic conditioning. In my experience, unless you get a heavy load of those perks, you can always opt out of being hypnotized.

It was pure curiosity, because im letting my character being brainwashed, so i dont know if i should keep going. Unless It makes really  difficult playing normally.

In previous versions of the mod there were problems which bugged out in diamond city. But I think most of those have been fixed.

Other than that, it has been (mostly) quite playable.

(Though I keep wanting to rebuild the hypno parts of the mod. I feel like "hypno" and "convincing sales pitch" should have strong overlap because they are so close to the same thing - but the mod has them being almost completely independent of each other. And, by the same token, I think the perks should lighten up temporarily under "combat stress". Also, I keep wanting to redo how the percentages work (so that it's possible to configure things so there's always a slight risk of falling under hypno but also later on so there's always a slight chance of evading hypno encounters, with smooth transitions in between). And, I keep wanting to redo the dialog, both for readability but also to introduce new kinds of hypno approaches, which randomly get assigned to different hypnotists after character creation. ... which maybe means I should be wanting to do a patch mod which replaces those scripts and overrides those parts of the conversation trees. But I have never been ambitious enough to actually implement all of that.)

I went all the way down the entire hypno content so, three big brainwashing orders that get permanently put in the characters brain and being vulnerable to hypnosis. I have to say, i'm tempted to get an earlier save or to keep playing like that. What is the convincing sales pitch?

Sex Attributes lets you configure the possibility that you are convinced to try it when an npc wants to hypnotize you.

Oddly, although you can configure the game with whatever probability it would be that you cannot refuse to be hypnotized, you can easily shrug off the hypnotism itself. And of how the hypnotism scripts work that's usually an all or nothing issue (for most of the game, either you can just shrug it off, or you're helpless).

And that implementation feels wrong to me. If the hypnotist is so convincing that you nearly automatically spend your ten caps, it should not be trivial to then say "no, I do not want this"

is there a reason why an npc wouldn't approach? can you make a specific npc do a specific approach?

If they aren't eligible they wont approach, to test them you could open console and click the NPC to get their ID in the console, then enter a building/go somewhere there arent any other eligible NPCs, enter "moveto player" into the console to teleport them to you, go to the debug menu in the mcm and do a force approach. Ideally you'd make a save before doing this since most NPCs will end up walking back home and might get attacked on the way/die.

If approaches in general arent working then just go to debug and click "reset all approaches" and it may fix it.

yeah i tried that one, i was trying to make doc crocker hypnotize the player into his slave in the mega surgery center and i reset all approaches in the debug menu a few times then tried using the debug menu to make him do a hypno approach again but it just wouldn't work

None of those will have any effect.  NPCs will be generally eligible as long as they match your MCM settings for gender/race/faction.  Always assuming, of course, that you haven't made fundamental changes that people often fail to mention, like "Oh BTW I turned all the NPCs into toaster race, will that be a problem?".  Additionally, the approach type needs to be enabled in MCM, even to use the debug force start button.

Approaches also depend on the NPC's morality.  SH rolls an approach type first (i.e. bad-outcome hypnosis) and then looks for a matching NPC.  If it can't find an NPC with suitable morality, it cancels the approach.  Morality is set randomly based on your MCM weights the first time SH scans an NPC.  So check Doc Crocker's "FPSH_Morality" actorvalue in console and change it if you want.  A value of 1 is evil, 2 is neutral, 3 is good.  Crocker may simply have too high a morality to assault you.

Similarly, NPCs need a certain amount of confidence depending on the approach.  Check Crocker's "FPSH_Confidence" actorvalue in console.  A value above 50 will cover all hypno approaches.

If that still doesn't work, you'll have to experiment.  Will Crocker approach you after using other debug force start options?  Will other NPCs approach you after using hypno force start?

I have seen disabled NPCs get selected for the approach. When this happens, you cannot interact with (or see) the npc.

It would help if there was a debugging option to log which pc was selected for the approach. But, last I checked, you would have to edit the scripts and add that for yourself. If you do not do that, there's no way you can observe or debug this kind of issue.

no i used setav fpsh_morality 1 and setav fpsh_confidence 100 and it actually worked, the npc wasn't disabled it was the morality and confidence factors

Understood.

It's not like there can be only one problem in something this complex.

Hello, after each interaction leading to a sexual encounter, my character becomes immobile. I don’t understand why.

your AAF install is likely broken - this tends to be the leading cause of this kind of bug
