yeahhowaboutnooo Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 so i guess one should download the 'MoreNastyCritters_v12_3SE.7z' file and not the 'MoreNastyCritters_v12_3SEExperimental.7z' file?
Kristus Kringle Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Is Hentai Creatures required by anything? I had in my mind that it's a requirement for something but I never use it and would like to uninstall it. I unchecked the esp and didn't get any missing master warnings so I'm guessing I don't need it but there is that nagging feeling I do.

The experimental version is for those who complain about the header. I'm usually to lazy to do it. See it as a proove of concept. I don't think that it really makes a difference, but I give it a shot this time. If I'm right with this I will prepare a version with resaved files next time, but without converting the nifs and the anims, just to proove that the header is the last thing to care about. And I will not feel bad about that..... 2

The only one that springs to mind is SexLab More Creatures SE, it used one of the meshes from HC to add extra variety. 1

Did I mention that you should reinstall on a cleaned save? So don't forget, that the Save has to be cleaned.
NixInOmnia Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Hey, Mods great and so far as I can tell it is functioning as Intended. All the Male Giants seem to have wandered off, though. This doesn't remove the Male Giants from the game, right? Should I just wait a few In-Game days and see if they come back, because I've gone around to a few camps and they are all female now. MNC is the only mod I'm using that would affect the Giants, unless there are giant edits in aMidianBorn Book of Silence for creatures, but I don't think that would despawn the Giants... Either way, nothings "broken" persay, I just don't see male Giants yet.

And I will not feel bad about that..... It likely doesn't matter for most users. Apparently updating the plugin file via load/save in the CK matters only sometimes? The number in the header doesn't matter unless the plugin contains certain types of records. If those particular record types are present, a load/save in the CK does a conversion on them. Mator and Arthmoor discuss it in this reddit post and that post also refers to some notes by histhup. The game engine reportedly can handle many earlier plugin types and the official Skyrim.esm and DLC esms contain many record "forms" using old formats. However, some of the third party tools are reportedly a different matter. It wasn't 100% clear, but there seemed to be a hint that SSEEdit expects to use the newer form of the updated record types - at least when making changes. So, it seems that updating the esp isn't necessary for playing the game, but should be done before certain types of editing in SSEEdit and probably before using a plugin for a merge and probably before doing a smash.

Arcane Wanderer Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 I guess the TL;DR is - Don't worry about the plugin version if you're just downloading and playing. But do care if you plan to edit the plugin with SSEEdit or zMerge.
NefariousPBO Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 dumb request but can someone make a standalone version with only the flaccid animal cocks, not the erect versions, i love this mod, but hate sexlab and sex mods in general, i love realism but dont have the technical know how to do this myself.

Set the arousal threahold to 100 and you will not see errected versions very often... this is much easier than mess with the models.
TheRightDoorIsNotTheLeft Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I have the latest version of MNC installed and I notice that all Giants are now "Giantess". Is there a way to undo that and just have Giants restored?

Spoiler Giants do no more appear here on respawn, might be this is the problem ? There is no enty into the list for giants. OOOK, found the first male Giants. Looks like I just visited the wrong places to check ?
