I mean, simply changing the relative order of mods causes it, not removing them... yeah removing mods from a save game is a big no-no in all capitals... on that you're right, but that's not this.

In other words, if you run LOOT after installing a new mod, and for some reason it decides that some of the mods you already had from before now need to be sorted different, then you'll probably run in into the issue I describe... the only way to not have this issue is, either not using armor mods that are ESL, never using the SOS keywords on ESL mods, or never changing load order ever, and that bars ever installing new mods too.

I have to say that's not been my experience. Running LOOT or otherwise rearranging my load order midgame has led to knackered saved games on many occasions.

So I am looking through the topic for answers, but I'm struggling with a problem I've never encountered before. That is, the schlongs don't show up in first-person view. I'm running XP32, SoS SE full, and Joy of Perspective. The schlongs are there when I'm in third-person but not first. Also, when I uninstalled SOS full and just installed SOS Lite, the schlong showed up in first-person view. Of course, then you can't customize and randomize.

I can't figure out why. As far as I can tell, my load order is proper, but it's just not working.

to leeux you would probably have to pm Galgaroth and hope he sees it.  As far as I know nobody has taken over for him.

JoP is awful, if u want a proper first person view then get IFPV.

The reason why u don't see a schlong is because JoP brute forces first person meshes for every armour, if there's no JoP mesh for a schlong then there won't be one.

here is what is says on vortex "last time you ran this game, one or more script extender plugins failed to load" i tried reinstalling it but same message

I have one last small issue. Everything works fine at the game start and I can choose the measurements of the schlong in racemenu. After the intro I make a save in Riverwood, then I load the save with all my other mods enabled. This is when I get the message that my schlong has to be restored. But, the restored schlong is not the same measurement as it was before I loaded mods.

How can I stop this from happening? Can I access the genitals menu again to change the measurements back to how I had it?

--

EDIT: Nevermind. Fixed it. I opened the console and typed showracemenu. That allowed me to adjust the genitals again. Now, everything works perfectly. If any of you are new like me, you can open the console by pressing ( ` ) while in game. Then type 'showracemenu' without the quotation marks. Now you can adjust your character again including genitals. Hope this helps a future google searcher. Best of luck.

Thanks. I'll give that a try. The problem being that I worry my save is fucked if I do this. I'll try changing it now.

Edit: This seems to have worked, thank you.

just looks like you've installed the wrong versions for everything. Make sure you're downloading SE mods for SE and LE mods for LE and make sure your game is update to date and also SKSE

THEY ALL ARE! what is LE?

It stands for "Legendary Edition". It's an older 32-bit version of Skyrim that was released before SE came out. It's very easy to install SKSE (which is for LE) by mistake. It happens all the time. You need to have installed SKSE64. That's for SE, which is 64-bit. Check to make sure you have the correct versions of that and SkyUI, as well as the updated version of the game. SKSE (which is for LE) isn't correct for SE. And older versions of SKSE64 won't work with new versions of the game, and vice-versa.

A word file? You're not unpacking it from the compressed file first, are you? What mod manager are you using? Both Vortex and Mod Organizer 2 download Zip, 7z and RaR files and install them all in one process.

Here's the link. The newest version is 1.1.4

No, just the other one. The "VR" file is for Skyrim Virtual Reality.  But what I'm getting at is you say it "turns into a word file". The file is a .RaR compressed file. It shouldn't "turn into" anything when you download it. You didn't answer my question about what mod manager you use. If I know that, then I can try to point you in the right direction.

NMM and/or vortex

Um...... you should only be using Vortex. Using both will cause you issues. NMM is unsupported by the original authors who now are developing and supporting Vortex. In Vortex, you open the window that has your MODS listing (NOT PLUG-INS) At the top left corner of that window you will see an "install from File" button. When you click that, it opens a browser window. Select the SoS file and click "open". Vortex will do the rest. The file in the folder where the download is, should be "Shlongs_of_Skyrim_SE-v.1.14.rar." If it for some reason doesn't say exactly that, then you have something installed that is changing compressed files when you download them. Vortex works with compressed files. Nothing else you do should affect that.

I've always had problems downloading from LoversLab using Firefox. It fails to create the filename properly (It wants to call everything "download.php" for some reason that's beyond me). Maybe something similar is happening for you?

Solution for me is to open the downloads tab here, make a note of what the file is called (in this instance it's "Schlongs_of_Skyrim_SE - v1.1.4.rar" or "Schlongs_of_Skyrim_SE_VR - v1.0.7z"), then I click to actually download, and manually rename the file in the "Save As" dialogue.

I've been using FireFox since it came out and I have NEVER had it change a filename to something else. You must have something that changes it in the settings of FF.

I do have a few security add-ons that might be blocking the resolving of filenames, although I've read of others having similar issues with vanilla Firefox.

It doesn't bother me though. I'd rather spend ten seconds renaming a download than disable security measures. No big deal anyway, just posted that as this guy's issue of downloads being a word file sounded similar to what Firefox does here.
