Correct, its is knownand is what causes the "Naked Bandit Bug" in PAHE.  There's not really any way around it.  Simplest solution for you would be to set the chain beast to only try to *strip* playable races (Keyword ActorTypeNPC) and that should filter out most of the problem.

Make sure you are using a version meant for Skyrim SE, so with SSE in the name. (Latest SSE version is currently 0.5.0).

Edit: Actually, that version is getting a bit dated, with lots of old bugs.  So converted the most recent testing version also to SSE so you can enjoy fresh new bugs instead.

The only required file is:  SkyrimChainBeast-V052TestRequest.7z    that is the latest version for Oldrim/LE.

 

The optional downloads and what they are for (I think only the first of these could be useful when checking out the mod for the first time):

  •  SCB-UserGuide052.pdf  : to look up things that are unclear
  • Adventures of Bretny - The Klymer Tales (Quest walkthrough as an Interactive Story).zip   eg if you want to see all ways to finish this quest without playing them in game.  (Likely makes more sense once you have encountered this quest in game...)
  • SkyrimChainBeastsDDCV.7z   If you have DDCV ( dwemer devious devices cuirass variations or something like that ) this demo changes one of the crawlers to use that armor instead.

 

All other files are older version or versions for SSE.

Wuhu, new bugs! I have to trantlate them all!

 

German version is running fine for me, maybe I missed some minor things here and there, but nothing special. It's the full version, so you just need this one here, it's easier for me in this way.

Have to say, this is a fun little mod to mess around.

 

If I may make a request though? Can the quest be disentangled from the Thieves Guild? Really don't appreciate joining those dumbasses, even in a fun-only play-through.

The only quest that requires access to the thiefs guild currently has (almost) no follow up content. If such follow up content is added that I might consider alternate ways of obtaining that aspect. For now there is no real need for it.

looks like the integrated SLUTS patch is for the original SLUTS and not for newer SLUTS mod. MO2 is giving an error for missing master as a result. the patch will need to be updated / fixed that that the ESM for the patch recognizes SLUTS Resume as well. which means i cannot use this version of Chain Beasts for SE  :(

 

EDIT: I see the problem, the patch it installed (SE version) from the Fomod is the SLUTS SCB patch. The SE patch is named SLUTS SFD I believe. the FOMOD doesn't give the option to install the SLUTS Resume patch, only the normal SLUTS patch only

Indeed, the patch in the installer with an esp file is for the older SLUTS, not the newer one (SLUTS resume or similar...).

The patch for the newer one is built into the main mod; no esp needed, though it is untested so I'm not sure it works. (Let me know if it doesn't so I can fix it...)

So if you are using the newer sluts, don't choose the sluts plugin option in the installer (or disable the SLUTS-SCB patch.esp in MO2; on the right under `plugins', that should solve the issue with missing master as well.)

(The patch for newer SLUTS version for v050 posted somewhere above in the thread should not be combined with v052)

To use the builtin patch for sluts, enable it in the MCM (tick SLUTS option..I think its the first item in the plugins menu, but not sure  anymore.)

Just upgraded to the new V052SSE version and now for some reason (im on a new game), SCB has MCM entry but all the menus are empty just the headings, anyone else got this?

 

Also is there any way @MTB that the old versions in the download screen can be removed/ archived to a diff place, to make it easier to work out what we supposed to download, please?

Do you mean the page names appear but not the pages, or the pages appear with the header lines but  with no options?

If the former: Perhaps there is an old version of the MCM script or of the ESM being used somehow. 

Eg if  you have the sluts-resume patch for v050 that could create weirdness.

(I don't seem to have this issue - though the page can be a bit slow in appearing sometimes - but I remember during development some think like that happened when updates to properties were not yet reflected in the scripts or visa versa.)

If the later: never  seen anything like that.

Ah ok, i don't recall seeing that in the Fomod descrption, which is probably why I missed that.

I think the old Sluts patch was the issue, I uninstalled, did the clean save thing, reinstalled and MC options are back, although the SKIP menu doesnt allow you to start the TJM quest when hilighted it says "Huge Step for Ebony Mine" and when clicked seems to do nothing

I think this error is causing my character to stand/walk when captured by the Chain Beasts. I just cannot figure out why is it happening. I am in SE and Downloaded the SE File.

I think this error is causing my character to stand/walk when captured by the Chain Beasts. I just cannot figure out why is it happening. I am in SE and Downloaded the SE File.

Milk Mod Economy (MME) say the following about this:
"as of version     v 11-04-2018, mod includes ZAP meshes textures and animations, if used with zaz animation pack, FNIS will get post consistency errors, those can be ignored"

 

I guess commenting out/removing the milk-o-matic furniture animations either in Zaz (Data\Meshes\actors\character\animations\ZaZAnimationPack\FNIS_ZaZAnimationPack_List.txt) or in MME (Data\Meshes\actors\character\animations\MME\FNIS_MME_List.txt or something like that) and rerunning FNIS will remove the errors, but if the MME author is right, this is not the cause of the problem.

 

(Note: you can easily test whether the crawling animation is working ok by using `test player crawling' in SCB MCM>Debug).

Was very fun, but could use some way to "skip ahead" when captured in case it decides to take you for a trip around the world. Maybe a configurable time limit before loading a new instance with what ever outcome the chain beast was going for?

Have a look in the MCM.  IIRC, That's there already
