Edit: In the FOMOD folder there is a file called .ModuleConfig.XML.un that wasn't in the previous version.  I deleted it and it seems to have installed normally.

 

Thanks for reporting. That files is indeed not needed. Odd that it would confuse the installer, but I've removed it and re-uploaded so other vortex users do not run into the same issue.

Oh, when you have plans to change the MCM... Can you just add/change the lines in the german text-file? My motivation to do this again it not... on a top level. The rest is easy with the Translator, because I just have to translate the new stuff.

 

Indeed, that was the general idea of creating this file; minimize the steps needed to create/update a translation.

 

Yes, I plan to only add clearly marked new lines in one place should they be needed, and not touch existing keys/translations.

Hi @MTB the SCB Sluts patch is looking for S_L_U_T_S.esp, the latest sluts resume esp is renamed to just sluts.esp is there anyway u can patch it or let me know where to patch in your scb esp? Thank you very much!

 

In edition, can someone tell me how to fix the MCM empty issue? I'm using Special Edition Version and I have put the english translation in the translation folder, yet nothing shows up. Every option of SCB in the MCM is not showing anything for me

 

Edit: Loaded up the V043 SCB for SE the MCM works. It seems there could be some issue with the MCM for V050

Not without a clean save.  See also last point below.

(Edit 2:  Just adding the synthesized voice files -- copy content 02 Voices, 06 VoicesIntegratino and if relevant 21VoicesDB to your data folder -- should not be a problem and I expect most lines also work with v0.4.3. Everything else needs a full update and a clean save.)

That indicates a missing translation file (or problems with that file).  If you are using a different language version:  copy

SkyrimChainBeasts_ENGLISH.txt in .../data/interface/translations to SkyrimChainBeasts_<YOUR_LANGUAGE_VERSION>.txt  in that same directory.  (If that works and let me know the language name to use, I can automate this for future updates.)

If not, check that SkyrimChainBeasts_ENGLISH.txt is actually present there (and unchanged compared to the one in the installer.)

The patch in the installer is for the original sluts not the resume version.  There is a resume patch in the support thread (linked on the download page).  It should still be valid, just don't use the SkyrimChainBeasts.esm included there, but only the esp.

Edit: That should be:  You need  the SkyrimChainBeastsSFD_SLUTS.esp and the two scripts SCB_SFD_*.pex but do not use the included SCB_InitScript.pex; instead keep the newer one from v0.5.0.  (All this patch needs to do replace all occurrences of SCB_SFD_SpecialFactionTest by the SLUTS-on-the-job faction (don't know exact name of that one); i.e. in the `AlwaysIgnoreFaction' property of SCB_InitScript on SCB_InitQuest and the SCB_SpecialFactionTracker property of the different capture magic effects variants).

I'm not able to reproduce the issue.  Just did a fresh install test on SSE and for me the MCM works.

(If the translation file was missing/in the wrong place I'd expect issues like those of badbat111, not MCM missing completely. )

 

Could you test it on a new game / save that you are certain that it is clean ?

The only reason I could think for this happening is if the properties on core quest were not able to update; the page names have changed in the script (but then not on the quest) leading to empty pages.

In case this is happening I would expect the logo to show up but not the content of any of the pages.

The attached MCM script contains a test for this and should show one entry in Gameplay if that is what is happening.

I've tried the MCM update file you've provided and started the game as a new game. Deleted all my previous saves. Now im getting this message. Not sure why it still ask me to do a clean save or start a new game where I already had done so. The rest of the sections in the SCB MCM remains empty. Version tested is the SCB SSE V050. I don't have this problem with SCB SSE V043

Working on trying to get a new set up going and came across an issue. That being I'm running Nethers Follower Framework (show information on followers and how i found this problem) and found that Chloe from Devious Cursed loot was grabbed by the find loot API from chainbeasts and it wouldnt let her go no matter what kind of resets I did to chainbeasts to get the quest action to stop. So end result is her just continuously running back to the area where her loot dropped in the chest and trying to pick it up again.

Ok so somehow the properties of in the MCM script on SCB_InitQuest (specifically: the `pages' property) is stuck in the old value, so either an old version of the SCB esm is being used or somethings else is overriding those values.


Check that the correct version of SCB.esm is being used:  Maybe there is a stray older version overriding it?
It should be this one:
SkyrimChainbeasts.esm, Modified:  15 may 2021, 20:46:50, size:  786.559 bytes.

For example, by using explore virtual folder in mo2 (if you are using that) you can see which version is actually being used.

If the correct one is used:  Try disabling all scb plugins (the esps.), start new game and see if MCM entries show up now.

The issue is likely caused by an oversight in the conversion to the new form of box management. Will need to look into that. I don't think there is a proper reset for that in the MCM now as it is a slightly different type of quest.  I've added that to my todo list.  For now, you may be able to resolve the problem by resetting the recovery quest using the console.( ~ resetquest SCB_QuestNPCRecoverStuff) (not sure it will work but worth a try.)

I have the issue that some numbers aren't there in the MCM. So when I set Chainfox on Level 5 in the wildbeast-section, then it's working fine, but I just have this "star-icon" ...

 

...but it's working fine, so it's just a cosmetic thing.

@MTB I have given it a try by disabling the esp one by one. Found out the mod causing the SCB MCM to show nothing is the  SkyrimChainBeastsSFD_SLUTS.esp from post #824 by @Mytherious. I think the SCB SLUTS patch is written specifically for SCB SSE V043 hence using it with SCB SSE V050 breaks the mod. I've tried to hide the SCB_InitScript.pex script in the SCB SLUTS patch but the issue is still there

Yeah, my SCB_SLUTS patch was something thrown together quickly with very little experience in terms of modding. So not suprised it broke this fast, my apologies for this. I still have my notes on this so I will take a look and see if I can fix this.

@Mytherious Nope, still doesn't work for me. the SCB MCM is still showing nothing. @idontcare!69 you seem to share the same problem as me on your SCB MCM. Perhaps you can give this patch a try to see if it fixes

 

Edit: What I suspect is that there could be changes made to the SCB_InitQuest in the V050 which made the SCB_InitQuest in the SLUTS Patch incompatible since the SLUTS Patch could be referencing to the SCB_InitQuest in V043. Unfortunately though my knowledge of CK is until the part where I browse those elements in the esp but not knowing what or how to fix them

Looking at it again, I think what you would need to do is repeat the steps to make it in the first place; take the demo (but now with the 0.5 esm loaded) and replace the faction.  This changes a property on the SCB_InitQuest so the CK stores all values for that quest in the esp as well.  (Why did I not think of that before? <slaps head>) This needs to be undone for the update to work.

(So the v0.4.3 initquest values were backed into the slut-patch esp when you created it, and using only the CK it is not so easy to undo that. Deleting the `edit' to SCB_InitQuest in xEdit and then redoing the setting of just that faction would likely also work.)

 

If someone can provide the exact name of the sluts esp and the form id (the hex number; eg in console: type help what-ever-name-of-faction-is to get the id) I may be able to implement a more permanent method in the next version.

...but it's working fine, so it's just a cosmetic thing.

 

Hmmm, not quite sure what you mean/what is causing that but I've made some changes to how this works so maybe it's  fixed in the working version already.

Right, gotcha there was indeed a change in the initscript. Rebuild the patch from scratch as you instructed, and now it definitely works on a clean save. Using it on a save with the broken MCM menu remains broken, but that is expected I think (given the issue was with the initscript being overwritten)?

Maybe as a suggestion for a fix (no clue how hard this is). But I recall SL defeat having an MCM thing for races where you can select which races to ignore (see screenshot). so it can be configured during gameplay. Maybe something similar can be done here? It would avoid the need for a patch. When i try to adjust the sliders in bodyslide everything just stays the same. im using cbbe and dont have this issue with any other mods. But whenever i adjust the sliders nothing on the body actually changes, both on the preview and in game, even when i press build

If you mean the crawler, then that is as expected, but the bodyshape itself should change.

Has not changed in a while, not heard of any issued with it in that time and seems to work fine for me.

No idea what the problem could be. Perhaps check the basics; do you have the right version (CBBE for SSE and LE use different names for the reference shapes...), try loading a different CBBE present, ... no other ideas atm.

Hi, MOD is doing great, loving it, one small patch needed though. SCB works with S.L.U.T.S Redux, but the patch doesnt recognise S.L.U.T.S Resume the newer one.

Edit: @MTB is it expected that the bound animation will break for zaz furnitures?

I have noticed that after the CB has captured me and sent me to a zaz furniture, I'd get locked in, but if i pressed any movement or mouse click, the bound animation will break and i appear standing beside the zaz furniture and i cannot move at all
