A chainbeast attacked her and stripped and i wasnt aware that i could talk to her and tell her to get her items back, so i opened the box myself and handed her her things back. Now i told her a dialogue option along the lines of "go and get your things" and shes stuck in place not moving at the location the box was at. Is there anyway to fix this?

You can try: go to MCM > Status, your follower should be listed under the `recovering gear' quest. Click on her name, select `force release', exit, exit the MCM. Hopefully that will release her. Note to self: add a `box not disabled' check to the `start recover gear' option - (not sure why it would get stuck, but that would prevent the situation altogether, and makes no sense to go to empty boxes anyways).

Sound like your installer is not seeing the files you installed; perhaps an issue with directory or game settings or perhaps you are trying to use the oldrim version on SE? Please try to find some how-to info on what ever mod manager you're using, because I don't think its related to this mod('s fomod).

It works exactly like the ethereal effect and should dispel as soon as that spell end (after 8 seconds or so). If it does not you've run into a vanilla bug, or perhaps script lag causing the end-effect function not being called. You can try the following in the console to fix this: - First ensure the spell SCB_SpellBiteFatigue is dispelled from the player: player.dispell <spell_ID> (help SCB_SpellBiteFatigue to find spell ID should be something like: ??0012CB where ?? depends on load order.) - If that does not solve it yet, remove the transparency manually: player.setactoralpha 1 1

It seems they aren't linked, so changing one setting in one menu does not affect the other, so I'm not entirely sure if my changes to this mod in one menu affect the actual mod or not. Is there any easy way to fix this?

NotKinkyEnough Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Can I please check if what I see in game is what is expected I am in Ivarstead and there is one spot outside fellstar farm where chainbeast keeps respawning, attacking and stripping a villager and fixing them to the wall, then after a moment the chainbeast respawns again and attack someone else.

Ivarstead is almost 'The Home of the Chainbeasts'! They live there in families and spawn in numbers. LOL Probably because one of the ChainBeast quests is housed in the bear frequented cave just off to the right after you cross the bridge to the foot of the 7000 steps pathway, ie the cave with the dead hunters lying outside it So the simple answer is: 'Yes. that's as expected - lots to see there' Hope that helps 1
NotKinkyEnough Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Thanks @DonQuiWho, it was my first experience of chain beasts, installed it and did a random Alternate Start Tavern Patron 'surprise me!' and ended up in Ivarstead, stepped out side and thought "dang this mod is a bit full on"! if it is just that I have spawned at chain central then that's ok I understand... bloody innkeeper going on and on about that haunted barrow but not a word about the rapey animated chains all over town! do you know if it would break anything though if I delete that one spawn point in the street there, idk if it is because a town overhaul has moved stuff around but a chain beast spawning out of nowhere right on the main street every couple of minutes is a bit unimmersive and also the townsfolk really ought to be in a permanent state of emergency over it if that is whats happening to them! Instead of wandering around then acting surprised when it happens again for the 19th time that day 1

I'm sure he'll be able to help you on that 1

It keeps eating my post. Retrying. Note that capturing a victim does not kill the beast. After dropping of its victim, the beast will continue to `terrorize the neighborhood'. Until its killed; usually the locals eventually manage that, but you could give them a hand. (There is a moment where it's not visible but that's just because I don't have a better way to show the grabbing/releasing of the victim by the beast.) If new beasts keep appearing even if they are killed, something is going wrong... Actually stray beasts should not be wandering about town in general. There are a few reasons why beasts might appear but most shouldn't trigger if you just started a new game. Perhaps a trap was triggered. You can disable NPCs triggering traps in the related section in the MCM (it's under plugins). 1

Most beasts will indeed just bring you to a furniture (or a jail or a cage or an auction...). There are some exceptions that do/may lead to some `sexing' (always human, never with beasts). (Also you could combine it with other mods like dangerously nude if you're looking for more action, or PAHE if you like to be on top...). Spoiler One type of beast and two quests will and one quest may lead to sex. Spoiler If you choose `you will pay' after the sohal klymer quest, in the follow up quest (vengeance is a chain bitch) one way to resolve the quest involves sex. If you get capture by Mark (caged quest) he will want to `have lots of fun' with you (and you're in no position to refuse...) If you get to the aspect quest, the Sa aspect quest (what a wedding) will have an interesting surprise involving well you guessed it. The beasts in this quest are not currently used anywhere else, but you can summon them anywhere using the console. You can also make any variation of the beasts used in the capture test spell behave in this way by setting their `type' appropriately. (With the self capture test spell you likely want to set `gameplay>quick capture' to true else you will end up unable to cast before you get fully captured.) Edited January 26, 2022 by MTB

Just a check before I go bug hunting; there are some requirements for advancing in that quest, have you checked that you satisfy them (see your quest log or spoiler note below)? (The skip option to advance will gray out if you do not match the requirements. There was an old bug where they could disappear altogether and things broke but that should be fixed already.) Spoiler Advancement requirements (after you have the golden version of the Chain Beast): To receive the summon spider spell you need to have the first (I think it's called Novice) conjurer perk to receive the summon walking prison spell you need to have the second (I think it's called Apprentice) conjurer perk.
xyzxyz Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 I have 2 questions: 1. What does "contemplate on your knowledge", the quest after getting captured for the first time, mean? What to do? and second the "mark your gear box" quest doesn't work. It starts but has no map marker or log entry.
