justdoit Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 They decreased the price on a couple of items (to free) from the creation club. However after they downloaded, ahnd I tried to start the game it would not. I discovered that it actually disabled one of my plugins. I simply rienstalled it and everything worked fine. So check your mods if you get the free items.
thepervertfromvault88 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I read something on Nexus about CC causing problems with some mods, good to see you were able to sort it out easily. I'll admit when I seen they reduced stuff/made items free, I thought to myself "Gee, only a been released for a week and they're already giving the stuff away, I wonder if that's any indication of how the initial response to it's release has been?"
prinyo Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Or better - don't get the free items if you want to play good games and get DLCs in the future.
myuhinny Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Or check and see if they are really free maybe they have something hidden inside them and the best way to get as many flies to download them is to make them free.
Guest Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 They were already free to begin with if you're on PC. You were given the archives for them, just make the ESP and boom!! Free.
ralfetas Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I think the best way to show them that this CC is not a good idea is just to stay away.
KitKatKseniya Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Wouldn't touch them even if you paid me
LesboIsBesto Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 I reversed the update on my game so I wouldn't know about that. Even if the update gets forced on me again, there's a mod on Nexus that silences the CC stuff in-game so I don't even have to be reminded of it lmao

I think some of the items should have been free from the start. Like a sample of "how awesome" the creation kit can be. But the only really neat thing on there is the Prey suit.

That would have been logical and a smart move. No company is going to do that.
Wandering Starspawn Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Some freebies wouldn't/won't change the fact that CC is horrible at a fundamental level.
Veladarius Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 If all they are going to offer for the most part is items that are already available as mods (and the mod is better) then they are not going to get anywhere and hopefully the CC will die off. As for some mods being disabled constantly I have found that some mods I have downloaded from the Nexus and other places don't have Fallout4 as a Master, they actually have no master mods to them at all. Adding fallout4's esm as a master to the mod took care of the issue.
Morferous Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Bethesda sacked their current distribution method. CC for SSE is not going to download archives to hard drive. Future Fallout 4 CC updates will not do it either. One freebie that Bethesda perhaps should have given was the Horse Power Armor. I can see them laughing themselves, but we didn't laugh with them. It would have been nice handshake to release it as a free mod from the begin with, if only for a joke. Only some sort of quality item in current FO4 CC lineup is Military Backbag from Fadingsignal. I was almost tempted to take it, just to give Fadingsignal some props for a download. I couldn't be bothered to buy extra credits for that though. I could have bought it directly (and likely never actually used it), but the I find CC credit system annoying. I do understand that they are bypassing certain conversion rates with that, but it is a poor excuse. There are other methods to do that and this just adds up to feeling that CC is low quality project. It feels like Bethesda was afraid to place too much effort for CC, fearing that it would fail. Unsurprisingly enough, that is exactly why it is likely to fail. All and all, we should see one more big update for Fallout 4, where Bethesda changes the current system and fixes ESM/ESP relationship that they changed in previous update. Hopefully they will also fix few other issues they caused. Conversation in Bethesda's own forum has been promising, but I believe they took the effort when I see it in my own game.
