How do you mean dead? Vinfamy, who took over the development is still around. I guess he is waiting for some functions to be added to f4se so the 1.0 can be released?

Nothing is dead,four-play 1.0 is in slow development,just forget about it and stick to the current version for now.

Hi, so I'm brand new to this site. great site, btw. its stuff I've wanted for a long time. I'm looking forward to downloading this and other mods but before I do, 1) does this mod or other mods that change male anatomy effect dismemberment in-game? I use CBBE with dismemberment and no male vanilla body mod, because none of the male ones had a dismemberment patch. I'm just wondering if the mod will permanently change the male body and make dismemberment impossible or if its only activated when animation is going. I heard something about a nude "suit" but like I said I'm new and not sure how it works.

 

also, i'm afraid if destroying my computer. Is that likely with this mod or is the warning more of just a general thing/hyperbole? like could I really destroy my entire system? I could live with having to reinstall but def cant afford to destroy my whole computer. If this is obviously an exaggeration, don't be too hard on me, I'm very literal. (Though I did get that the starting global war thing was probably an exaggeration)

I have a problem which I do not know how to solve and looking for help from the experienced users or developers. I still can not figure out how to control camera. Previously (before the last steam update) everything was running fine – I could control camera (distance to scene) with WASD keys, and direction of view with the mouse. Then after the update and on 0.61 build of F4SE the controls were not working at all. Since 0.62 build most of controls are working again (like change animation…) are working again. But I still can not control camera with WASD keys (now I am on 0.63 build, but still the same problem). Maybe anybody could drop a hint (which mode is responsible for the camera – maybe I should try reinstalling it? Thanks in advance…

Only one time can I remember the camera automatically going into free mode. I just do it the manual way.

 

Once the scene begins, open the console command menu with ~ and type tfc and hit enter. That will put you in free camera mode. Once the scene ends, repeat and you'll be back in player camera mode.

UPDATE: ~ tfc works for me. Still, it would be cool to have it automatically

It is automatic if you have the correct version of F4SE and of the F4SE plugin for your game.

I'm also having camera problems; despite freecam being enabled in the settings I never actually get a freecam but a locked orbiting camera with a poor view. I've got the latest F4SE, and I can't manually TFC because I'm playing on Survival.

 

(Also my Four-Play "MCM" isn't in the MCM at all, it's just another apparel item. Is that the way it's supposed to be?)

The MCM component hasn't been ported to FO 4 MCM yet, so it's just another apparel item for now.

So apparently no animations are triggering for my character cause shes using a custom race and the front page says I need to register the race with a script. Thing is it didn't say where and what file and it doesn't look like a console command so anyone can bring light to that?

Well, I have been looking but can't seem to find the problem I am having.  When I use the release command on a defeating foe it locks my vision in one direction just letting me move my gun or crosshair slightly, but otherwise I seem to be locked indefinitely while the one I released just wanders around.  Anyone else get this issue?

"Out of the frying pan..."

 

I saw on the net a video clip of someone getting "violated" by super mutants, and realized that only raiders were doing much to me in my games, so I looked for updated FP mods and found that I was a version or two behind on a couple. I updated to all the current versions, LOOT'ed the order, started a brand new game, and now cannot get out of the vault without CTD. My first thought was that I had installed something wrong, or that the piecemeal update had caused a problem, so uninstalled ALL of my mods, started a new game, and played through a "vanilla" game up until I met up with Cogsworth. I then started adding mods in a few at a time, starting with the "cosmetic only", like CBBE/Body Slide, the billboards and artwork, etc. All good. When I started adding in the FP mods, the game remained stable. I started a new game and CTD'd as I was emerging to the surface. Every time, every iteration.

 

I figure that I have some combination of files not playing nice together, but I would appreciate help in figuring out how to correct it. As best I can interpret from the logs, there is a missing file, corrupted file, or some other incompatibility that wasn't there when I started.

If I may ask, is there any particular reason why you want to have the FP mods installed before you leave the vault? I've heard nothing but people having issues since FP will cause pre-war NPCs to solicit you for prostitution on your way to the vault or Kellogg to be having sex (via Autonomy) with the Institute scientist therefore hindering the initial game startup.

 

Deactivating FP and all of its sub-mods until after you leave the vault seems like the best course of action.

 

Of course, I use Start Me Up so I don't run into any issues when starting a new game.

This is a repost from another thread on here. I've seen more than enough people having quest issues with Four-Play, so here's my 2 cents on the subject.

 

A lot of people seem to be having issues with the initial part of the game or with other quests.

 

Here's the thing and it may disappoint some people, but you should really, really consider turning off most Four-Play mods while doing the main quest line (including main BoS, Railroad, Minutemen or Institute quests). The only quests that I don't turn off the FP mods while doing are radiant or misc quests. Autonomy, Prostitution, Vanilla Fudge and Violate seem to be the major offenders here. 

 

Autonomy causes the most trouble because NPCs that you need to complete or advance a quest will randomly wander off to have sex with another NPC, sometimes in the middle of dialogue. Prostitution because NPCs will approach you for sex while you might be in the middle of something very important. Vanilla Fudge just gets in the way (although it's perfect for smaller quests). Violate just isn't a well-tuned mod yet. There's nothing like being in the middle of an important quest, getting violated but then getting randomly thrown across the map to a raider hideout for more violation, in turn screwing up the quest you may have been close to completing (I've even been thrown to locations that I absolutely should not have been able to! My character was being violated by the Concord raiders and got teleported into Railroad HQ, which then made the Railroad hostile! Like, what? xD).

 

While doing main quests, the only Four-Play mods I keep active are SexEmUp and the body mods (Diverse Bodies, Animated Fannies, Nudesuits, etc.).

 

Hope this helps some people who may be having quest issues!

You make some really good points. However, a few things I'd like to point out:

 

1) As annoying as Autonomy, Kidnapping, and Prostitution "interruptions" can be, using the Vinfamy Control Panel mod (linked with the rest of his work), you can toggle them on and off to prevent them from interfering. 

 

2) Many (if not most) of the players who troll Lover's Lab for the "adult themed" mods have already beaten the "Vanilla" game at least once. (I actually played through four times, once for each of the "major" non-DLC factions- BoS, Inst, Rail, and Min Men). The last several play throughs I have done were strictly to tinker with mods like FP and A.S.I.A.

 

3) To reference your earlier questions as to why I was trying to load the FP mods before reaching the surface, I had a REALLY bad experience adding mods without starting a fresh game in Skyrim, which gets REALLY pissy if you change the load order mid-game, and is REALLY sensitive to ensuring that everything loads in the correct order. I haven't seen too much issue with the Fallout titles, but starting new games with every mod add has gotten to be a habit for me.

 

I really do appreciate the insight, so please don't think I'm trying to be a dick (or at least no more than I normally am XD ).

Update:

 

Digging in and trying to interpret the messaging, it seems that there is some sort of pissing match going on between FP, F4SE, and the FO Runtime. F4SE is spitting out messages about invalid FP revs, FP is complaining about the runtime version, and the Papyrus log is just not happy about anything.

As for turning off some of the FP mods via VCP, I was having some issues where one mod in particular wouldn't stop working even though I set it to off. That was Vanilla Fudge. I was having an issue during Call to Arms where every stage of the quest that you had to speak to Paladin Danse, he would ask you for sex upon completion of an objective. If I declined, dialogue would start from the beginning and he would repeat the same request which had me stuck in a loop. Deactivating the mod completely was the only way I got through the quest and the only way that I get through main quests anymore.

 

I'm glad that you've completed several play throughs with those mods installed. It's good that we have people like you to help discover bugs or maybe even things we didn't know the mods can do!

 

I understand how starting a new game with all your mods loaded can become a habit, too xD

I literally just uninstalled VF was couldn't get it to turn of it became so annoying.. I'm not sure either but seems like there are no more support for FP mods any how getting them Installed properly with all the CC updates can prove to be tedious to say the least basically screwed I'm just usingCrazy6987 for now....
