I tried reinstalling the main pack and the only thing it given me is a bald hair >_>

Is there anyway to find them using console codes?

 

1- Uninstall all Elin mods.

2- Reinstall the mods in this order:

  1. Standalone followers.
  2. Main race pack.
  3. Body pack.
  4. Elin NPC and Enemy.
  5. Any of the non-standalone followers.
  6. Any of the Elin enhancements
  7. Elin mannequins

The last 3 are optional as it will have no affect in getting the followers to appear.  Do not install them until you get the race and followers working correctly.

Pay particular attention to the location of the ones in green.  If you have the standalone followers (Rem, Mi Ya and Yi Ka), place their ESP just before the 'ElinRace - Use <custom body>Body.esp.

 

 

Ok one more question about the scripts; what exactly is the problem cause I do get warning messages of the scripts conflicting but I don't really see anything that's wrong in the game. oh and I almost forgot I only get the conflicts messages with vampire and companion housekeeping but not the werewolf one

 

It would be redundant to have both installed.  Also there could be problems when those scripts are called into play.  For example, at first I had both installed and when I transformed into a werewolf, my summoned Elins would disappear.  Later, I was informed not to use both and RC Improved v1.5 was a better option.  After removing RC v1.7 the summoned Elins were able to transform into werewolves along with me.

 

Other than the error messages, you will not notice any problems until those scripts are used.

 

 

 

Hey i installed the elin race and monli race fine and all but i noticed that now my Succubus race wont load apachii hair or the Covereyes 4 mod. Any idea what i can do to fix this?

I can't say what is the cause.  I can only ask 'What Elin files did you install?' and 'Have you tried different load orders?'

 

I successfully installed the Monli Race edited v2.1 and ElinRace Main-Sky1.8-2013Feb24 with ElinRace CBBE Pack-2013Feb24

Afterwards i noticed that on my Succubus race which once loaded the apachii hair no longer show up for in the Showracemenu or on a new save. Both Monli and Elin are working great and all but i think something in the installation files, Scripts maybe changed the hair path for the succubus race. I temporarily uninstalled them both so i can find out what was changed. I've had no luck :/

 

I never used the Succubus race before so I don't know what is causing the conflict.  Is the race script-heavy?  You mentioned scripts changing the hairs so I'm guessing this race uses transformations.  If so, my next question will be, "Which Race Compatibility mod does it uses?"  The Elins use Racial Compatibility Improved v1.5.  If the Succubus race uses Race Compatibility v1.7 then the conflict is between those two mods.  I have added a section giving a brief explanation of the two in the first page of this thread.

the succubus race dose have quite a few scripts I use it I have the same thing happen to me I just use the race to have the wings and tail for my other races just searched "true form" then did "player.addspell" then the id for the spell

The Succubus race is using Race Compatibility v1.7 because it uses the scripts I have highlighted.  Whether the conflict is from the two different race compatibility mods or with any of the Succubus race scripts, I can only guess, but that will not pinpoint the problem.

 

Do some testing.  Since you had the Succubus race before adding the Elin and Monli races then we know that works fine.  Try this.

 

- Make sure the Elins and Monli are completely uninstalled.

- Start your game and double-check the Succubus race is error-free or at least the way it was before adding the Elins/Monli.

- Make a new save and exit the game.

- Now completely uninstall the Succubus mod and start you game.

- Load the new save you made and make a second new save.  The problem with Skyrim is that scripts from mods do not completely disappear no matter how many saves are made.

-  Exit the game and reinstall the Elin race (not the Monli), start the game and load the second new save.

-  If the Elin mod is working with little or no problems, exit the game.

-  Extract the Succubus race mod and go to DATA > SCRIPTS.  Remove the scripts I highlighted from your post.  Also remove the Racecompatibility.esp since the Elin race has installed it's own.  Now if you are using NMM, go ahead and archive the edited Succubus files ( make a 7zip or RAR file).

-  Now reinstall the Succubus race.

-  Load the first new save you made, not the second new save.  The first new save will still contain the data from the Succubus race, the second new save will not.

Ok so still had the problem after these steps too but GOOD NEWS!! I found a way around the problem :lol: .  I have elin and here is what i do to get the hair/eyes back on my succubus:

 

Console command

TGM - so that my head features stay as they are

Setrace nord - so i can get the hair/eyes of the nord since apachii works fine on those

showracemenu - pops up face unchanged but with nord body

setrace Succubus - succubus now back to normal with apachii and covereyes

 

Thank you so much for all your help, i would'nt have solved this problem without your guidance! 

 

Edit: i also believe that what ever the problem was, it was permanantly in my save file and any save created new with that file. But who knows, not I. :P

I'm glad you got it fixed.  Other than informing you about conflicts between the two compatibility mods, what advise I gave served no practical purpose.  I really wish there was a better way to pinpoint errors caused by mods.   I believe the problem(s) being baked into any new saves would be the scripts as even Bethesda mentioned there is no 'safe' way to remove orphaned scripts from save files.  Good luck.

But the blocky face annoyed me so i edited the .msn file for the monli package.

I made the texture smoother and saved it uncompressed as R8G8B8.

I didn't read every post in this thread so I don't know if this has been fixed already^^

Let me guess, the monli/elin races are conflicting with xvisionchildren/cots because they were all based on the same mod, the ashen race, right?

 

Really, why not redoing part of the mod so the race is fully compatible with others [and an overhaul mod like xvisionchildren. I seriously don't want to look at the ugly vanilla brats ever again.]

I know it is faster and easier, but it is half-done work. Remove and redo anything related to "oriental race" or just rename it all and relink if necessary.

All I did was adding 6 levels of gaussian blur. It works for me. My elins face is as smooth as babyskin :D

But I just can't figure out why custom animations create clipping with this mod =/

 

edit: Ah. And it was important to save it with R8G8B8 method. Every method with compression results in blocky areas. The file size went up from 2MB to 12 MB, but who cares :D

Is there anyway to make an npc naked by default? like miya and yika?

everytime I go to another town or something, they wear clothes again :( I want them to be naked permanently!

(yeah I play this mod cause I'm a pervert)

Thanks for the tips and I agree, I have a preference for hi-res, uncompressed textures, they look so much better.

 

I'll have to make a new Elin since I deleted the one I had because those Dawnguard bugs p*ss'd me off.  Even the Unofficial Dawnguard Patch couldn't help.  In spite of what was told, UDP works best when starting a new game.

The Elins were never based on the Ashen race.  Maybe the "Monli" bodies gave that impression, but if you look at the race in CK, you'll notice that their proxy race is Khajjit.  While I'm doing the Girls of Tera, I'll also make GT replacers for the child races.  If CotS/Xvision wants a race war, they'll get one. :P

yea Most Hoods and Helms clip like Hell even with the helm fix, And the Elin Neck needs to be a little longer to some armors make her look like she has NO Neck.

I guess the helm fix just fixes the helmets. To get rid of the clipping with hoods you could import the head mesh in 3ds max and place the upper vertices a bit lower. I once did it and it worked well.

  • how go's the work on gt?

 

 

I started last night.  I'm keeping all of the original data and going through the process of changing the links to the bodies.  I'm tinkering around to see if I can make the GT Elins compatible with the current Elins.  If successful then you can have a mix of GT Elins and original Elins in the game.

 

Btw, would you have any problems with my adding ECE.  I mentioned I was making GT with and without ECE-CME so I was thinking of changing to one with ECE and the other with ECE-CME.

not really cuz im using the ece/ecm I planed on using it with gt when they are out anyways :P now that I know how to make it work the custom races its going to be used at all times beast mod it is :) also if u make one without ece/ecm it might make it easyer for some to add it to ece/ecm but I may be wrong

CK will take awhile to completely load the Skyrim records.  Some error messages will popup.  Just click DISMISS ALL.  These tend to be bugs everyone deals with.

 

When you get the Creation Kit downloaded an running, you will first need to click on the folder icon from the toolbar.  A window will popup.  This will list all of the master files and plugins.  You need to 'check' these files:

  • Skyrim.esm
  • RaceCompatibility.esm
  • ElinRace.esm
  • _elin.esp  (you will need to make this ACTIVE by clicking the botton below marked Activate.  This will load the ESP records and allow saving changes)

 

Now under ACTORS you will see a list of the different races.  These show the list of NPCs of each race.  Look for Elin Race as shown in this screenshot and click on FEMALE.

You will see Mi Ya and Yi Ka  on the right side.  Double-click on Mi Ya and another window will popup.  This contains all of the information assigned to them.  Go to the INVENTORY tab and follow this screenshot.

Her default outfit is a mages outfit.  From the dropdown list choose NONE.  Click OK then do the same with Yi Ka.  When all done, click on the Save icon on the toolbar.  Exit CK and you are done.
