Thanks. And the eyes were aligned right. No idea why they wouldn't be (using pre-ECE/CME update).

Is this elin race using the original elin meshes adapted for Skyrim, or is it using proper head, body, feet and hand meshes for skyrim? I'm sure I saw something like an adapted elin race, not the super anime-like face. While I'm not against anime and would totally play as an Elin in TERA, I don't want them like the original elins in Skyrim...

Custom headmesh, and a choice between unp or cbbe body. Elin race faces tend to look the same due to the limitations of facegen (without ECE/CME).

But custom like the anime elin face, or custom like ran's headmesh?

Elin face. Though as I said, it's not 100% like the Elin face from TERA due to facegen. Just look at some of the screens posted.

What do you mean by "proper head, body, feet and hand meshes"?  The heads are custom meshes with morphs and so is customizable in Character Creaion.  There are 4 bodies: 1) default, non-nude Elin body, 2) Tera, nude body (similar to the default body), 3) CBBE-BBP bodies, and 4) UNP-BBP bodies.  I don't know what you mean by your second question since you are comparing the Elin's (non-human/non-elven/non-beast race) head mesh with Ran's (human) head meshes.

As far as I know, there are only 2 Elin races, 1) the one from Tera Mod Collection, and 2) New Elin Race.  If you saw anything else that looks like a more human-looking Elin then most likely you saw pics of a child race using wearable ears.  I'm working out a new Elin race that looks more human, a balanced mix of both child race and Tera Elin.  It's hard to describe,  you'll have to wait until I'm done.

I'll post screenshots when I found the right "look".

Here's a screenshot of a Monli.

If you can imagine her with Elin ears and tail, but without the elf ears, that would be what the new Elins will look like or close to it.

^Exactly. Actually, the "cbbe loli" us an edited monli race without elven ears, isn't it? Besides, there are some standalone elin tails and ears and converted clothes... This should be bundled up together to make a remake of the elin race for skyrim.

Like I said, I don't mind the huge anime eyes, I like the elin, they're cute... It just doesn't fit in skyrim as-is imo. :/

And just for the account, just because they have animal ears and tail, doesn't make them less human to me. They are humanoid, just like any elf or orc. It's not like they're khajiits or argonians.

I'll be using the Monli Edited race for the Elin's CBBE body.  As for the UNP body, I'll be using the original UNP for ECE/CME and CotS' body for non-ECE/CME since the enhancement system has undesireable results when used with the x117 skeleton.

The new Elins will look more human, but still retains some of the anime-ish cuteness or else they will no longer remind anyone of Elins and look like Skyrim children with animal ears and tails.

I agree on the anime cuteness part. They do need cute faces, big eyes and wide hips, but toning it all down a bit, like you described with the monli race would be how I'd see them in skyrim. [i just noticed you posted some screens of different bodies on girls, so if you're really making new elins like that, please continue, you have all my interest!]

I've been testing out different bodies that looks good on a loli character.  Also I'm working out the bugs with ECE/CME.  If you saw in an earlier post a screenshot of what looks like CotS, she is using the x106 (teenager) skeleton and customized with ECE/CME.  I'm not giving up on the enhancement system, but sometimes it cooperates and other times it doesn't.

Next weekend.  I was side-tracked for awhile and so everything has been pushed back as mentioned in a previous post.  Also there will be two versions.  I plan on releasing the Elins first so the release date could be sooner.

ah ok and by elins do u mean the human elins?

Yes.  CBBE+UNP (maybe additional body types; unsure), with and without ECE/CME.  I'm looking into whether to use the CotS body or modified UNP for the version without ECE/CME.

all u need to do as far as I know is to just use a normal skelly

edit: hey are u having trouble with ur ck mine has given me nothing but errors will not work at all

Well, now the Elins can use any of the body replacers available.  A Elin with MangaDM TBBP body?

EDIT:  Try reinstalling CK.  Scratch that.  Give me a moment and I'll show you how to get Steam to check CK and fix it.

nope still said theres missing strings for dawnguard ik how to do that it still don't fix it if ur talking about to verify integrity of tool cache ive done that

One way to fix the Creation Kit other than reinstalling it is to check the Tools Cache.

Open the Steam console and in the Search box on the right side type CREATION KIT.  Next to it is a drop down menu.  Choose TOOLS.

Right-click on the Creation Kit entry and choose PROPERTIES.  A new window will appear.

Click on the LOCAL FILES tab and choose VERIFY INTEGRITY OF TOOLS CACHE.

Steam will now scan the CK files and if there are missing and/or corrupt files, Steam will download and replace them.

EDIT:  You will need to extract the String files from Dawnguard.bsa.

Here's the BSA unPacker.

BSA Unpacker.7z

Just double-click BSAunpacker.exe and at the bottom of the window, click OPEN.

Now search for Dawnguard.bsa and choose to open that.

Now there will be a long list of files that was packed into the BSA.  To make searching easier, click on SORT located at the bottom right of the window.

Now scroll through the list until you see the the relative file path begin with SCRIPT.  That is the SCRIPT folder.  Highlight everything that begins with SCRIPT then click EXTRACT.  Choose where you want to extract the SCRIPT folder and script files.  I suggest dumping them on to your desktop.

When done, move the folder to your Data folder and merge the SCRIPT folders.

CK should no longer give those errors.

Did you add Dawnguard.bsa to the SkyrimEditor.ini?

In the SKYRIM folder, open SkyrimEditor.ini in Notepad.

Look for [ARCHIVE] and add Dawnguard.bsa as shown in the screenshot.

This will allow CK to access the files in Dawnguard.bsa
