New Elin Race

I don't really get it much... I'm really sorry for being stupid and all.

 

I can transform into a warewolf but I don't really know how to summon elins. I tried all of the spells and none of them seems to do it.

Do I need to recruit some elin NPC into my party or something?

Edit: erm... I'm too enthusiatic right now about the "I'll dance for you 2" mod and I'd like to ask, Is there anyway to make an npc keeps dancing and you leaving her be? What I wanted to do is dance with lots of elins all at the same time but they just stops dancing if you stop as well.

Children of the Sky is known to conflict with the Elin race. 

Try this,

- Completely uninstall Children of the Sky and make sure all of the CotS and Xvision files are removed.

- Install or reinstall the Main Elin race files and the body replacer.

- Run your game and if there are no problems, go ahead and install the Summon Elin Ring.

 

NOTE:  To summon the Elins, you just need to equip the ring just like any other enchanted ring.  Leave your inventory and you should see the Elin(s) appear and your health bar drop.

 

- This is crucial, I use Race Compatibility Improved v1.5 and not Racial Compatibility v1.7.

If you have both then there will be scripting conflicts.  Race Compatibility Improved does not use the Companion Housekeepiing script, Vampire Transformation script, and Werewolf Transformation script.

 

If you have Racial Compatibility v1.7 and been using mods that requires it, you will need to remove the Race Compatibility Improved files that comes with the Elin race.

 

- If summoning the Elins work, go ahead and install the Elin NPC and Enemy files.

 

- Don't forget, the Elin custom body plugin needs to be last in the load order or after the other Elin mod plugins and/or plugins that makes changes to your playable character.

Yeah, it's best to group related mods.  That's what I do to ensure that any one mod does not override another when it shouldn't.

Maybe Insted of doing "girls of tera" Just do One at a Time, "THE NEW ELIN RACE", then "THE NEW CASTANIC RACE", "THE NEW HIGH ELF RACE"...Ea....Ea...

 

will just be playing 1 Race so will not need the others will not conflict?

I'll get started on the GT Elins and add the Castanics and High Elves as updates.  I want to add all 3 as one mod since they might share certain files, but I won't know what would work best until I try.

 

Also I have not decided whether to make the GT Elins an extension of the New Elin Race or make them standalone.  I'm sure some people would want to use both for example, the playable character as the GT Elin and the npcs as the original Elins.

If I had not been delayed by other matters and finished the GT Elins, would you have still gotten ECE/CME to work for you?

But when I try the clothes any clothes for elin bought in the fox shop. It reduces my thigh size, (which obviously no longer look like an Elin)

 

Are there any clothes I could wear that doesn't change my body size?

None that I know.  These armors were made or converted with Skyrim bodies (vanilla, cbbe, and unp) in mind.  The Elins, though CBBE/UNP, are unique.  They don't follow the typical CBBE or UNP body.

 

You can use the armors from Tera Mod Collection, but keep in mind that these armors were released long before the current Elin bodies and so there may be slight alterations of the body and/or seams/gaps around neck, wrists, feet.

I can't say what is the cause.  I can only ask 'What Elin files did you install?' and 'Have you tried different load orders?'

Ok it's working now thanks, though I did install Children of the Sky after installing everything from Eline Race nothing has been conflicting so far o and I almost forgot you said something about scripts conflicting like the vampire and companion scripts how can I fix that cause everytime I start playing the game I get a warnning that those scripts are conflicting

PROBLEM

1- When these two mods are installed together, there will be script errors and you will see error messages regarding CompanionHouseKeepingScript.pex, PlayerVampireQuestScript.pex, and PlayerWerewolfChangeScript.pex.

 

SOLUTION

1- Uninstall one of the Race Compatibility mods.  Which one to install depends on the next problem.

 

PROBLEM

2- Certain mods (example: Ultimate Followers Overhaul) uses the Racial Compatibility v1.7 scripts (writes to the scripts) and removing those scripts can cause problems with the mod.

 

SOLUTION 1

2- Remove the Race Compatibility Improved v1.5 files and continue using RC v1.7.

 

SOLUTION 2 (alternative)

2- Follow the mod's (ex: Ultimate Followers Overhaul) instructions on how to uninstall the mod.

- Now uninstall Race Compatibility v1.7.

- Leave Race Compatibility Improved v1.5 installed.

- Start the game and create a new save.  Exit game.

- Reinstall Ultimate Followers Overhaul (or any other mod that uses RC v1.7).  Basically you will be starting over (this has nothing to do with starting a new game and only refers to the mod you had to reinstall), but this time using a different Race Compatibility mod.

I've installed the ElinRace Mage follower but I can't find the Rem anywhere.

I've turned off the Elin npc mods though, Is it because of that?

 

Is not, then is there a spesific way to find those followers?

The Elin followers are independent of the Elin NPC and Enemy mod so not having one will not affect the other.

 

The Elin mages are located in the Arcanaeum at the College of Winterhold.  If you also have Elin NPC and Enemy installed then the Arcanaeum can be very busy.  The Elin mages are the only ones that do not have ears and tails and they have markings on their foreheads indicating their magic specialty.

 

Rem is located in Dragonreach (Whiterun) near where you first meet Lydia.  Rem is naked by default so you can't miss her.

 

 

UPDATE:  If you are wondering about the other standalone followers Mi Ya and her sister Yi Ka, they can be found in the Bannered Mare.  You will always find one there, but the other comes and goes and so you will not find the sister there all the time.

 

Regarding installing the Standalone followers.  They come with most of the Elin race mods.  If you are experiencing problems with them or they are not appearing, I suggest reinstalling the main race files + body replacer (REM uses the same body as your character) and see if that works.

Is there anyway to find them using console codes?

Ok one more question about the scripts; what exactly is the problem cause I do get warning messages of the scripts conflicting but I don't really see anything that's wrong in the game. oh and I almost forgot I only get the conflicts messages with vampire and companion housekeeping but not the werewolf one

I successfully installed the Monli Race edited v2.1 and ElinRace Main-Sky1.8-2013Feb24 with ElinRace CBBE Pack-2013Feb24

Afterwards i noticed that on my Succubus race which once loaded the apachii hair no longer show up for in the Showracemenu or on a new save. Both Monli and Elin are working great and all but i think something in the installation files, Scripts maybe changed the hair path for the succubus race. I temporarily uninstalled them both so i can find out what was changed. I've had no luck :/
