There are plenty of problems with the Mario movies. The lack of an interesting plot being one of them but the Mario games were always kind of generic. The kids loved it so whatever.

 

It is definitely possible for a Mario game to have LGBTQ+ characters as it has been done before with Vivian, Birdo and possibly that one bisexual goombah in the second Paper Mario game. Can Peach and Rosalina still be gay? Possibly. Nothing is stopping you from writing a fan fiction well except for maybe Nintendo's army of lawyers.

My laptop refused to turn on last week. Tried to do a hard reset, BIOS reset, and some third thing I can't remember, but nothing worked. Brought it to Geek Squad at Best Buy to get it looked at. Guy says that he'll hook it up to his own charging cord to see if that works, but mentions that I might have to buy a new laptop if the motherboard is cooked. Apparently the motherboard being busted is basically the computer equivalent of a car being totaled (I'm not a tech guy idfk). Laptop immediately turns on after he plugs in his charger and presses the power button. Guy tells me that letting my laptop's battery go completely dead over the weekend probably fixed the issue (I don't remember what his explanation was). I didn't even have to pay, just fill out some paperwork so they could prove they did something. I'm back home and my laptop works good as new.

 

Computers are fucking weird.

That's the worst thing about owning a laptop.  You sacrifice ease in repairability for portability.  Thankfully, you lucked out.

At the DnD nights I have with my wife and friends, there's a guy who plays with us who does edibles (food with THC in them, which is the thing in marijuana that gets you high. For the record, I live in Colorado, where it's legal). It's the funniest shit ever, because he'll start saying random stuff. However, during our last session, he said something that really made me think. He said, "You know, if you think about it, the brain named itself." It's weird, because it's true.

I used to DM while high a lot back when I was super into smoking weed (I'm from California, it's legal). It's fun in the moment, but it was damn near impossible to keep track of what happened during games. It got to a point where I started giving out inspiration points to my players if they took notes for me.

I'm trying my best to socialize and find something I'm truly interested in. I want to regain my interest in life. I feel like my life is going downhill because of the army. Worst mistake I've ever made.

Mental health is important especially in a military. I don't know your exact circumstances but maybe you could try finding a comedy to watch when you have the time. Also try to avoid bad news if you can. I make that mistake way too often. You deserve to enjoy life as much as anyone else. You deserve to enjoy life.

I’ve never been in the military, so I can’t speak on anything about the service in particular. I’ve had coworkers in previous jobs that echoed what you’re saying, and what kept them going is having at least one person they can lean on, and knowing that their life isn’t just about being in the military.

 

Whatever your situation is, just know that you are not your job and that there’s room in the world for you.
