BeamerMiasma Posted August 10, 2016 Author Posted August 10, 2016 Awesome mod man, its like you invented the hook half of the velcro. Haha, thanks, great analogy. Can I quote that?
Funnybizness Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Man this mod is SO essential. I can add tags to any animation which give me absolute power...I like having absolute power lol thank you again for this.
Yuni Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Excuse me. How do I edit creature animation tags? That's where this would be very useful, as people have very little standardization in creature tags. I cannot seem to figure this out, no creature animations are listed. Could you please enable creature animations to be edited? That's why I downloaded this.

It's not as simple as just enabling them. I don't know of any mod that uses tag searches for creatures anyway so I have my doubts about the usefulness of working on this.

Sexlab Aroused searches for certain sexual acts as tags when determining if actors get orgasms. If the player uses Untamed to make creature companions and then Sexlab Aroused Creatures to keep them satisfied, improperly tagged animations will make it so the creatures never get orgasms and constantly assault the player. There's your first use. Pet Collar will be involved in this too, if the player is giving public service to a creature pet, it will never satisfy them with many animations. Secondly, mods like Deviously Cursed Loot, Fill Her Up, and some other cum-inflation mods all use animation tagging to determine where the player gets cum inflated into, and improperly tagged creature animations are important there too.

If animations are incorrectly tagged, your first station to turn to is the one who tagged them, the animator or the person who created the package. Overall it's much better to fix improperly tagged animations at the source. I have several mods to work on and only so much time, so I'm afraid I won't get around to this anytime soon.
Yuni Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 I was merely showing you the usefulness. c: Thank you for your consideration, was merely responding to you saying that you could think of no use for it. Either way, the request is there, and thank you for all your hard work.
Nazzzgul666 Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Beside creature animations, i have a problem that i can't find an animation via Slate, but it is registered in sexlab. I assume it's because of the tags or something, (it has a FFFF tag but doesn't show up in foursomes), not sure. Imho solution to this and the creatures part: could you make it possible to type tags or specific names of animations like in sexlab tools? That would at least solve some problems and hopefully it's not too much work.

Imho solution to this and the creatures part: could you make it possible to type tags or specific names of animations like in sexlab tools? That would at least solve some problems and hopefully it's not too much work. The animation search for 4-somes in the standard animation sets doesn't use tags. It just gets all 4-actor animations. Just because it has an FFFF tag doesn't mean it's a 4 actor animation, perhaps it's tagged incorrectly. Also possible is that you have the animation disabled in SexLab toggle animations, in which case it's not accessible through searches in any mod. Your suggested solution makes no sense. You cannot get creature animations through a regular animation search, it's handled by a different SexLab factory class (nor can you determine the amount of actors in an animation by looking at the tags, they are completely free form). Adding creature anims is not a problem of technical or engineering nature, it's related to the rotation speed of the earth. Edit: read under "Custom Animation Sets and other files" on the description page if you want to create your own animation sets. There is also a file with tags you can edit.
Nazzzgul666 Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 The animation is toggled on in sexlab, it is not found in 4some, or any other option. I didn't try all custom sets, but for me it would still be helpful if i could search for "anal" or a tag i know the animation i search has like the creators name, no matter if the actors are male or female or how much of them. And i'd still be happy to have that even if it won't help for creatures. Then i could create custom sets via MCM instead of leaving the game and edit the files.

As I mentioned in my previous post, read under "Custom Animation Sets and other files" on the description page. You can already do what you are requesting. The only thing you cannot do is search for an animation regardless of how many actors are involved. That's just something you are expected to know. The functionality SexLab provides is meant to find animations for a group of actors - you can't have a group of actors and not know how many there are. However there are only 5 options (5 is the maximum number of actors that can be in a single sexlab animation), so you could do that fairly quickly by just looking for the tag(s) in animations for 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 actors.

Probably the reason that i couldn't find the specific animation i was searching for was that it was accidently tagged as FFFF although it's FF, that's fixed by the author and i can find it now. And i admit, now it's a request because i'm lazy, i hope you don't feel offended by that, and i have no clue how difficult or how much work it would be for you to do it. The point is: i have something around 350 animations for 2 NPCs alone. For many of them i know a quite uncommon tag or name they have, so a possibility to search for a tag or name i can just type within your menu without quitting the game would be a very-nice-to-have imho. It's already done in sexlab tools, so probably you could just grab that piece of code, but if it's more complicated or you just don't want to.. i'm stil grateful for your mod.

SL Tools uses UIExtensions for that AFAIK, not the sort of heavy dependency I want to attach to SLATE. It's not that it's impossible, just something you can already do easily - if you know the exact name of the animation you don't need to search it in the tag editor, you can just add the AddTag/RemoveTag lines directly to your action log and re-apply it in game. And really, how often do you not know the number of actors in a specific animation? I'm guessing once in a lifetime, and we just had that episode You don't need to close your game, all you need to do is (completely) close and re-open the menu after you make and save your edits and they will be available in the MCM menu.
shiagwen Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 could you please add the tag " xcross" to slate ? Maria eden is looking for that tag and it exists only on 3 animations. it could be given to more animations if slate would have it.
arpaschad Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 so if creature animation tagging is still looking like a "tentative" future function, is there someone who can make a mod like these except for creatures? we beastfolks feel left out...T_T that said though, this mod does a great job in ordering what animation I want to see on humanoid characters...it's quite annoying having to see two males use the "LesbianBreastfeeding" animation when they don't have the tits for it...this mod solves this and other animation discrepancies...
Taven Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 Is this still being worked on? Being able to tag creature anims would be awesome, when it comes out! :3
Sheluna Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 I concur. I wish someone more clever than me could do the convertion. I tried to understand how to port it to SE, but the creationkit is far too much of a mess for me to handle it. -.-
poisoned Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 this is an amazing mod, thank you for the efforts. Any chance for this to work/similar to this function to work with Skyrim SE?
rodrigo2 Posted December 5, 2019 Posted December 5, 2019 I downloaded SLATE via MO2. With SLATE installed, however, I can't get MO2 to start my game. If I disable SLATE, the game starts normally. Any idea why this is happening? Note: when I install SLATE, I see the esp in the right pane, but no bsa.

The you screwed up the install somehow because it does include a BSA. Try reinstalling. 1
The Song Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 considering all this does is edit text somewhere (the tags), will it work with special edition as is? or do I have to pray someone converts it?

In my post above, I tried using SLATE for SSE....with no success. (In the post, I didn't realize at the time that SLATE was an Oldrim mod.) I have no idea why it wouldn't work for SSE...
Eadoo Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 Hi there, I'm starting to implement animation patchups in my Apropos2 database. As always, I'd like to borrow someone else's work rather than building everything myself. Is anyone here using SLATE to patch current versions of the SLAL packages, and willing to share your SLATE action log?

Some context on my tags: Nibbles' blowjobs don't have the blowjob tag at all, which is odd. Adding the Vampire and VampireMale tags makes Anubs VAMP1 animation play for Sexual Vampire Feeding. Adding the Feeding tag makes it visible for SLEN vampire feeding aswell. FunnyBizness Lovers Stand is a standing animation without the standing tag, although I no longer have that animation around in my install. Nibbles Kissing lacks the LeadIn tag, which makes it not visible during lead-in foreplay. You should also add the "Feeding" tag to every Sexual Vampire Feeding animation as to make it visible to SLEN. I didn't do it myself because SLEN vampire feeding is not compatible with Better Vampires (it works, but won't satiate your hunger due to it calling the feeding function with the vanilla calling convention) and I already have Sexual Vampire Feeding, so I didn't care to fix that either.
