I would like to use a custom greeting but the mcm is not clear to me on what I need to type in to get one of my custom animations used. How do you do it?

any ideas on this one?

Odd symptom in my dozen or so prior playthroughs in new games (as in pressing "new" the main menu). Even when I've maxed out the slave status as much as possible, when I choose the dialogue "I want you to punish [x]" the two slaves just stand there doing nothing. And when I have the training auto-scheduled, the home slaves are most usually sandboxing. Is there some undocumented soft requirement I need for it to work?

In case it's relevant, I'm using SE. I'm starting a new playthrough in a few minutes, so I'll make sure I have all the debugs enabled so I can comb through the logs to see if any warnings or errors appear.

I have a problem. I have "questline as optional" enabled, but the only dialogue option I have with the Falkreath Jarl is the option to start the HSH questline. I don't have the vanilla option that says "I got your letter". How can I get past this?

hmm, not really certain that's a hsh bug unless you started the quest first, then later set it as optional from the mcm, never tried it that way but have heard some eaerlier on had issues switching from a started quest to making it optional...anyhow ijs i've turned in the letter to the jarl many times with that mcm marked optional, i rarely get enough time to progress thru a save to quest much

I always toggle optional in the alternate start room and leave it alone. I went back a save and closed to desktop. I tried it again and the vanilla dialogue appeared.

PS -- this only happens when I have HSH in my load order.

Maybe you should clarify that PS because it sounds like you're saying a bug for home sweet home only shows up when you have home sweet home installed.

Not sure what there is to clarify. The vanilla dialogue is always there when hsh isn't installed.

Ah sorry, I'm an idiot. I misread. I thought you meant the other home sweet home dialogues wouldn't show up.

It's been a long time since I've run the HomeSweetHome (HSH) start quest, but I don't recall starting that quest from Falkreath, my poor memory suggests it starts in Dawnstar.  In any case, I've run a number of games with the HSH starting quest off and all but one time I've had the dialogue with the Falkreath Jarl about the letter he sent.  Sometimes I've started obtaining slaves before the letter and other times I've waited until after the letter.  In all but that one time, I get that dialogue, which is important to me, since I use Lakeview Manor as one of my slave holding homes and I don't think you can get that home unless you complete that quest.

None of this helps you except to suggest that something in your setup is screwing up.  Do you use an alternate start save for those times when the letter dialogue doesn't show?  One possibility, although an unlikely one, is that you need to use a dialogue enhancer like BetterDialogueControls or EZ2C.  If you have one of those, do you see a "more dialogues" dialogue choice and did you select it once with the Jarl?

On the dance animation question, I'm pretty certain the animation is hard coded, so changing it would require editing the script and recompiling.  Even then you'd only get one dance.  Adding a random dance chooser would be more program modification.  Something which Musje could certainly do if they have a mind to do it.  I don't mind the dance chosen, it's not particularly annoying, rather I usually ignore it, since it happens so often.  Some of the other dances *are* annoying to me, so I don't mind the way it is.

Edit:  Oops, I just remembered that the Falkreath Jarl does start the HSH quest.  Sorry about that, Chief.

As long as those warnings only happen on game start all is fine.

Mods search for soft dependencies on game start and give a warning that they can't find them, which of course is true if you didn't install those mods.

If those are soft dependencies the warning shouldn't show up later in the log.

You can see the same behavior for other mods that have soft dependencies, some even show a not in the Papyrus log that those warnings can be ignored.

It's bad if those warning show up and you have the soft dependencies installed, but if it is a new game wait till mods are loaded and do a save/load cycle and check again. If those warning still show up start to panic.

For some reason the mod doesn't show up in the MCM and it also prevents the "And you get a slave" mod from showing up.
Any Idea?

If Faustling's solution didn't help already, move also Display Model above all PAHE related mods (if you have DM installed that is)

During installation of HSH and AYGAS make sure to always select the patches from both for each other.

Question. I have one slave training another, but when I say to the trainer, "Punish that slave now" she just stands there. When I tell her to "snap out of it", the punished slave immediately falls to the floor, as if the punishment scene ended. But there was no visible punishment. I have these installed.

* Paradise Halls Extended (SE)

* Home Sweet Home (SE)

* ZAZ 8+

I tried to keep the related mods to a minimum so I can minimize mod crossover. I have debugs enabled in Sex Lab, Home Sweet Home, and general Papyrus, but I don't know where to find the relevant logs to see if there is a script error. Does anyone know the name(s) of the debug files I need to examine? Or is the problem that I don't have one or more other mods installed that's needed for the "punishment"?

It could be that the punishment AI expects a certain animation package to play and if you don't have it it looks weird. I know Home Sweet Home lists interactive BDSM or something as a requirement for this reason. It could also just be a latency issue.

I'll give that a try. Thanks.

That did the trick.

I have Nether's Follower Framework installed. It would be fun if HSH allowed for multiple followers to have fun with the house slaves. At present, I can tell the Taskmistress to entertain my guests (plural) but she'll only entertain my housecarl. In some future update, could this functionality be added?

Are there any SE animation packs or mods that allow for sex while chained, tied, or in a bondage device? I have Zaz 8+ and immersive bdsm installed.

I think it says heretical devices and Taras ultimate furniture pack but neither of those work. I know there are animation packs featuring furniture and animation packs designed to work with placed furniture

I've noticed for quite a while when I use the "All tied up, let's see you refuse me now" dialogue option, an aggressive -- but unrelated -- animation triggers. Not even a "zaz" animation is used. That's why I figured there was some animation pack I was missing. Or maybe PAHE and HSH use "generic keywords"?

FYI, the description page lists this mod as recommended. "I'll Take The Display Model". However, when reading the description on that mod page it says in huge extra-large font that the mod is only usable in LE. You might want to mention that in the description page (i.e., "LE only").

There's an SE version of Display Model I use it

It may sound like an opinion question but it really is an objective one. Other than "pahe Lakeview Manor Cell", which I am starting to use, are there any vanilla spaces where you place a house cell token and have only minimal problems with all that vanilla furniture taking up space and causing a whole bunch of furniture-caused sandboxing bottlenecks? Or are modded homes the way to go where you can have all the space you want and not have to furnish it completely without your housecarl constantly saying, "We have skeevers in the basement. I know you equipped me with God Armor and Weapons, but you have to clear it out instead of the Housecarl, who is supposed to make sure you don't have domestic problems like this." (Gotta love Bethesda sometimes.)

I do use the immersive temple of malog bol (available on loverslab) for my training needs lol

It's not just training but also permanent house slaves who maxed out their training and aren't being sold.

Plenty of room in there believe me. It's intended to have permanent 'prisioner' storage with their own AI and has lots of space to keep PAHE slaves there and multiple followers.
