Yea, Cursed Loot already has an "event" like this that uses some of the Estrus tentacle animations.  I'd love an animation like this for an event - the tricky bit would be for a mod to disable the "trapped" chest until after the animation is done for immersion reasons, but I'd love to see it.

We could add some little legs to the box and let it wander around in Skyrim as a tribute to Terry Prattchet... I would like to see that....@MadMansGun : is there at least one slot free for a chest?

This was posted in the 'DD for him' thread, saying its yours... Are there any more stages for this one?

Would be cool if it could be expanded in different directions, as a series of anims triggered by approach, sex life, degratory guards, or other things like that.

a) She turning around, knocking him out. End

b) She Turning around, knockim him out, Starting some femdom anim.

c) She turning around, slapping him into the face, he walks off

d) She turning around, slapping his face, he rapes her

e) She turning around, aproaching him with some wild foreplay...

.....what creature would it be based on?:  Chaurus?, Dwarven Ballista?, Horker?, Spider? Mammoth? Netch (would be extra hard to make it look right)?

the "aroused mesh" would need to be a invisible mesh* so the animated objects can take it's place.

You picked it up, so here it comes:

Take the mudcrabs ...... They have no anims, They are useless unless you need the indrigents.... And as no animater has found a way...  Some of my ideas had been more stupid.

 

The aroused mesh doesn't have to be invisible, it has to change the creature itself.  This Idea is not lore frindly. No, it isn't. Changing the chests in the game will conflict with quests or other mods unless the chest is included. And in this case you have to install mods like DCL with all the feature that you don't want to have for getting a little fun with chests.

So there is this Terry Pratchett Idea... spawning the chests like other creatures and let them wander around, attacking every adveturer that gets to close to them.

Or....

the fix was done in the BSLightingShaderProperty, no mesh edits.

The mesh needed to be exported again so the fix also needed to be applied again, with blaze's help I've already done this though. Thanks for the effort though.

I was Thinking about adding more stuff but so far nobody showed interest in it so I haven't worked any more on it, on my download page at the resource gif buttons there's a slightly more updated gif though.

 

And wow, didn't expect so many comments after I posted the initial mimic gifs.

In both cases it is just a problem how to use them in-game.  To use the box anim as a simple solo anim would be a waste. It needs... no it DESERVES a mod! 

The gif is a good start up for a set of animations, with a different out come.... you make your approche and the target has different choices to react. And you have again different choices after the reaction. Something interactive... or make it an event in the Inns or on the market places. Male NPC aproches Female NPC. He might get some fun or end up with a black eye...

IMO once the mimic animation is released, people should totally post something in the Request/Find section about the possibilities, and bring up the existence of the animation in mod threads where it could fit like Traps & Pitfalls/Cursed Loot.  I'd love to see even a small mod use an animation like that.  I think Pitfalls could be the best fit, as it dynamically spawns "traps" in dungeons, so a oddly placed ornate chest would obviously possibly be a mimic.... but if there was a chance for it to still have loot.....

 

I do think the best approach would be to release the animation normally in an update - just having the animation available is all most mods would need to get something fun going.  If a modder had concrete ideas that needed special files then they could bring it up directly, assuming Nibbles wanted to work on something like that.

Anyone know why the Nibbles MFF animation has the actors in the wrong roles? The girl is humping another girl who is on top of the guy and its really bugging me because it looks like a good animation. Tell me if you have this or not as well please.

I still belive a tribute to Terry pratchet would be the best solution. Recruit 'Chest' as follower. Think about it....  It only needs some legs and a walking animation. And in combat.... I don't know if this is possible, but it would be the best follower mod ever....

Call it Chesty and add some big fake boobs to the front of it and it could be #1 hotfiles on Nexus.

I've seen that happen too but not just his. Some of FB's anims do the same thing. My problem is occasionally That anim positions correctly. I think it might have something to do sometimes with how the actors are picked and some mods just do it right and others get it wrong.

The mimic is coming along nicely, it's just a lot of work (and essentially unknown grounds for me).

I'm still experimenting stuff I can test with animated objects, but at least I'm making progress.

Just the 4.8 is fine on it's own.

I made a mistake with the no creatures version with an outdated plugin file.

 

If you use the regular 4.8 version it's the most up-to-date one, the 4.81 is only to have the updated plugin file for the no-creatures file.

Not yet, once I finished alligning the mimic one I'll release both of the animations.

Initially I wanted to add some more but the mimic one was more work then I thought...although that being said, I knew the mimic was gonna be a lot of work.

 

A lot of new stuff I had to learn first, including some relearning old stuff (to create normal maps etc).

The mimic animation is as good as done (only need to finish up the last stage) but exporting/alligning takes a lot of work.

 

When I finish it I'll release both animations.

hehehe the chest mimic is really awesome :) looks really fun.

 

It would be so so cool if the chest was an exact copy of the chest you come across in-game and then players would not know if the chest is a real one or a tentacle mimic. So then an un-wary adventurer tries to pick the lock to seek a fortune only to find the animation instantly kicks in and they get chest-raped! and the mimic chests are just randomly spawned all over skyrim. 

 

That would be such a fun thing!!

 

BUT he chest would have to be exactly the same, nothing could give it away as the mimic. even the pop up menu to pick the lock should be there the same as the regular chests. the first thing a person would know thats its a mimic would literally as the lid lifts thew animation starts LMAO!

Oh it is, just a straight up copy from the "boss chest" with added bones and animated.
