darkfender666 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 According to announcement a 48 hours downtime and rollback was planned. There was no downtime so its safe to post now or there will be another planned downtime and rollback? Also is this the proper forum? or i should use the other address? Ty a lot
TnTTnT Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 This is the forum that we will use from now on (the previous one).
Bazinga Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Where did the abandoned new forum go btw? Can't find it anymore... It was supposed to stay online and on read only mode for a while. @Ashal ... And while I'm at it, how do you notify other users in a post. @ doesn't do shit.
heavytop Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 There was a very small downtime when it was reverting back.
Ashal Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Where did the abandoned new forum go btw? Can't find it anymore... It was supposed to stay online and on read only mode for a while. @Ashal ... And while I'm at it, how do you notify other users in a post. @ doesn't do shit. The previous forums are up at http://archive.loverslab.com, I haven't made a post about it yet but will later. @username was a feature of the updated forum software, it doesn't exist in this version.
myuhinny Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Using the @ was a new software thing not the old software you will have to use the old way of quoting a person if you want them to see as that will put a message under notifications or PM them.

l33tMan Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 The new version was better, i don't understand. I disagree
Dreamweaver Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 The new version was better, i don't understand. I do admit that I'd started to quite like the layout of the new site, but having frequent periods of anything between a couple of hours to a couple of days when it couldn't be loaded at all was a bit of a stumbling block. There will be some features I'll miss, but personally I'd much rather have a site that works and that I can access reliably.

Numerals Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 The new version was better, i don't understand. If you can call the site being down every other hour "better", sure.
s666 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I speak about style and navigation, not about technical side. A "brutal" rollback like this is just a "fuck off" for people who liked le new site.
pinky6225 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 The new version was better, i don't understand. It was explained in the announcement that was up for 48 hours Suggest you check http://archive.loverslab.com/topic/55999-important-1-month-site-revert-in-48-hours/
fishburger67 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I speak about style and navigation, not about technical side. A "brutal" rollback like this is just a "fuck off" for people who liked le new site. It was not a "brutal fuck off". It was necessary. Many like the new features, but if you were a regular visitor, you had to note that Lovers Lab was down more than it was up. No matter how nice the new features were, they aren't much good if the site is down. This was necessary. Give Ashal a break. You have no idea how much time he spent trying to make it work.

Yeah don't worry, i hope he will going to find a solution for make everybody satisfied. *thanks Pinky for the link.
Dooge Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Must have been a really tough call to do the rollback. You have my full support.
x3niu5 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Is it possible that my previous account that i made like well over 2 weeks is gone? All my threads and post are gone aswell... Ive lost some valuable info now And had to make a new account. On the bright side i really like the new layout and the forum is way faster to load EDIT: Ignore this i've found my answer, thanks for the archive!
janii Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 So glad the old version is back. Its so much better to look at. I loathed the new design it hurt my eyes at some point. This one is dark plain and simple. Perfect.

Guest Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 @CPU Cool now if only I can continue to remember it. The problem is that with the revert to the old site you lost the visibility of your "contributor" status. And this has serious secondary impacts on your brain... (Just to let you know, I am updating the "SexLab 1.6 Compatible mods thread". (And this will take hours to be updated with all the links.) Do you have an idea how much I forgot about BBCoding? I don't remember how to do a link with font and color like I was doing before...)

myuhinny Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 @CPU You should make video tutorials for yourself so when you forget just find the one you need and watch it.
RitualClarity Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 @ @myuhinny I think @CPU was referencing that I would forget.. how little he knows me ..
