Well, you won't have to worry about any of that as the .json list where the outfits are stored is limited to about 500 outfits and the MCM can only display about 107 (Skyrim's array limitation of 127).

What I'm worrying about is that I can't save outfit with a name easy to understand after some time.

Hello

I'm sorry I have a silly question, but how do you start this mod ?

When I speak with housecarls, nothing new is happening, but the mod is installed, is here in MCM

How do you start quests ?

Thank you

DDe is not a Quest mod, but more a DD tool and extension:

It adds new textures/effects for Devious Devices and adds a devious dwarven suit with it's own FX.

Adds the new effects for DDe devices and regular DDs.

DDe devices can be added to the DD loot lists (by adding the needed tags)

You can manage worn DDs and also add/remove them (all or single).

You can create DD combos and use them for self bondage or on NPC.

You can change effects of DDs.

Inte created a hypothetical scenario you could create with DDe.

There are no fixed quests, but you could create a scene like that with the functions DDe offers-

Apologies if this has been asked.

Is there a way to access these devices so that I can equip them on my PC and NEVER have to worry about locking/unlocking? A mod, or a setting that I'm missing somewhere?

I won't actuallly be playing the game with this mod-- I just do screenshots and it is a pain to have to spawn in the key or find myself in a device I can't unlock. I seriously do not care about one single bit of the roleplay and just want to be able to take these darn things off and on instantly after spawning them in with additemmenu.

Note that I did try looking at just knocking this mod down to its ARMA and ARMO entries like i do most of my other armor mods, but its complexity defeated me.

Thank you!

DDe is perfect for what your searching.

You can add all kinds of DDs via MCM and also remove them again (without any keys).

You can also create DD combos and save them to equip/remove them anytime.

All works via MCM.

Remember to deactivate the "harcore" mode as soon as your game loads up! ?

@Inte it just occurred to me that DDe is also great to apply your custom effects to DDs.

I like the electro FX, somehow missed that for the shocking plugs.

Does that mean you could theoretically add more effects for unique devious devices.

For example simulate reduced air intake for gas masks so they drain stamina?

It does.

So basically DDe could be set up as if you have the TiR rubbersuit effect all the time (just better) :classic_blush:

TIR?

You could check if you have

SUM 1.50 installed + UIE Patch

Welp, I cant believe that's the thing i was missing... Big thanks for the help :^)

SUM integration was a mistake. It added nothing and just made using this mod more convoluted for no good reason.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

Selecting via SUM isn't working no matter what i tried, i can't get DDe to recognize the actor i want to select. DDe only displays the player character, no NPCs. DDe worked fine before and was simple to use but now i have to cycle through MCM menus and it still doesn't work. This is why i say it's convoluted. I also don't see any benefit on SUM integration, what exactly did it add to DDe?

This is my opinion of course, and you're obviously more knowledgeable about the mods than i am since they're your mods. Still these are my observation.

Now that you’ve explained your issue I can try to help, tho this info is already available (SUM post No. 2).

1. In SUM System page, select ‘Actor/Form Hotkey’ option, then press a key you want to dedicate to this task.
2. In SUM Select Actor page, set the ‘Auto Store Actor’ to -1.
3. While still on the Select Actor page enter a name under ‘Enter An Actor List’ and save it.
4. Walk up to an actor you want to save until the name appears in the crosshair or select her in the console, then press the key you’ve chosen in No. 1 above.
5. In DDe to the right where you select your PC there is an option where you can type. Type the actor list name from No. 3 above.
6. Select an actor from the list that will appear bellow.
7. Done.

I made SUM a framework for my mods to reduce a lot of script code redundancy between my mods (just like it says in the OP).

A lot of SUM’s features are used by 3 of my mods (POP, DDe, SDP), plus 2 unreleased mods. Since those features are basically carbon copies of one another (selecting and storing an actor, for example), if I were to find a bug in one, I would have to trace it and squash it in the other 4, ditto for new features. So, moving the actor selection to SUM, for example, was just part of that streaming process. This way you only need one hotkey for actors and need only select actors once. Also, this will allow for one centralized database to store all actors to have available for all my mods to use. If this was not done (centralized in SUM) I would have to keep track of 3 separate actor databases for 3 separate mods, have 3 hotkeys to select actors for each mod etc. and that’s just one feature. And, If I decide to make another mod that needs the features that SUM already offers, that would have added more redundancy.

So, isn’t it better to just explain your issue instead of just making blanket statements?

At some point in my game an npc thought I was wearing a devious device when I had nothing equiped.

I did a player.showinventory in the console and there was item id # 0B040f0C as worn.  I did a remove item and saved.  When I did the show inventory command the item appeared as worn.  I tired to do an add item command, the message I got was just "Item added" and nothing appeared in my inventory.

I tried the remove item from the DD MCM and it said nothing was detected and aborted.  I did the stop quests in the MCM for Deviously Cursed Loot as well.  I got the message that I was no longer visibly bound.

When I did show inventory again, the item came up as worn and I could not find it.

Keep in mind with this character, I was playing around with different mods and deleting them in MO2 as I didn't want to play them anymore.

I went back to an earlier save shortly after the game first started and the item showed up.

Is there a way to get rid of this item?

Do you know what the item name is so maybe if I bought the item or had it equipped again, it would no longer be there?

Would TES5Edit be able to fix?

It's an invisible armor object that is needed for the DDi device hider to work properly.

You cannot remove it and there is no reason to remove it.

It should not be detectable by any NPC's as it does not have the relevant keywords on it. There must be another worn item causing your issue.
