2 Questions:

 

1. Can someone tell me how exactly to use the House Cell Upgrade Tokens?

 

2. I have sold 3 Slaves with the Auction but they still standing at the Restless Hunter. Do they disappear anytime or do they stand there forever?

 

EDIT: 2. was fixed after updating PAHE to 6.0.8

1) Go to the house that you want to upgrade and click the box to bring up the menu. If you are carrying an upgrade token, the menu should have an option to redeem it

2) They should be deleted at some point, probably when you zone out.

When I click on token nothing happens and I only get message YOU CANNOT EQUIP THIS ITEM.

Help if someone knows how, thanks in advance.

 

i guess then you have to click "E"  and then it will rezz on ground

 

 

Thanks, but I tried that, nothing happens.

 

then try with  "R"

 

 

Then token is dropped, but nothing else happens.

 

 

 

you probably don't have enough space for the cage in your room. they're quite spacious

Hrm..  I dunno what's going on.  I am trying to start the quests that this mod is supposed to provide, but the Jarl won't talk to me.  

Started a new game.  Went Got the letter from the Jarl of Falkreath.  Went to start the quest to become Thane.  However the dude won't even ackowlege the fact that I am there for the letter he sent (Won't start the quest and I don't have any of the Rare Gifts quests)  Seems like I have a relationship issue too.  Seems like all my relationships are set to NPCs hating me, and not sure why that happens either.  Happens on every new game I start.  I think it's a mod, but dunno which one.  If I could figure it out, I'd rip it out in a heartbeat.

that particular issue with the jarl was actually shared by somebody else here who was unable to find the answer before reinstalling

 

my suggestion is to find yourself a bsa extractor to extract the scripts from skyrim misc bsa and drop them into your main skyrim scripts folder to delete them again afterwords -- that's a method of finding the vanilla game files that have been modified byt other mods and removing those scripts

next you'll need to reinstall your skse files becuz those files do modify vanilla scripts as well so they'll be lost in the process

If anyone has any suggestions, or even recommend any to rip out that might be causing conflicts, I'd be willing to listen.

 

 

that particular issue with the jarl was actually shared by somebody else here who was unable to find the answer before reinstalling

 

my suggestion is to find yourself a bsa extractor to extract the scripts from skyrim misc bsa and drop them into your main skyrim scripts folder to delete them again afterwords -- that's a method of finding the vanilla game files that have been modified byt other mods and removing those scripts

next you'll need to reinstall your skse files becuz those files do modify vanilla scripts as well so they'll be lost in the process

 

 

 

Hmm...Guess I didn't dig far enough back thru the thread before giving up.  hahah

 

And that's a bit over my skill level.  I don't quite know anything about the scripts and where to find them. :/

Hrm..  I dunno what's going on.  I am trying to start the quests that this mod is supposed to provide, but the Jarl won't talk to me.  

 

Started a new game.  Went Got the letter from the Jarl of Falkreath.  Went to start the quest to become Thane.  However the dude won't even ackowlege the fact that I am there for the letter he sent (Won't start the quest and I don't have any of the Rare Gifts quests)  Seems like I have a relationship issue too.  Seems like all my relationships are set to NPCs hating me, and not sure why that happens either.  Happens on every new game I start.  I think it's a mod, but dunno which one.  If I could figure it out, I'd rip it out in a heartbeat.

(its either that or go thru your mods uninstalling them until you get a normal response from the jarl

OK.  FINALLY got all my problems sorted out...I got the quest started...but now I am stuck on the slaver camp part.  I get that the slaver camp is "South of Dawnstar" but either I am blind, or it isn't spawning, because I've been wandering around for a while in this area, and I can't seem to find it.  I've been from Dawnstar down to about Red Road Pass and almost all the way back east to the mines where I picked up this part of the quest.  I haven't found a slaver camp.  

Found a couple bandits trying to attack a lone novice Conjurer...Enslaved the female bandit, but didn't manage to snag the female conjurer in time...but that's about it.  Any clue as to a more specific location for this camp?

Follow the road south of Dawnstar, after a while the road turns east (there's a Giant's campfire there), keep going. The slavers camp is just off the road on the left (north) side, a few 100 meters before you fit the fort there.

 

Next version will have a quest marker but that won't help people doing the quets now :P

Thanks.  That was VERY helpful.  I couldn't figure it out.  I was looking in the complete wrong area.  I figured since they were camped right outside the mine, they would logically follow THAT road to Dawnstar.  Nope.  You had them take the scenic route.  hehe 

Now to go loiter around Dawnstar.

hi having trouble with this mod not starting quest i go and falkreath become thane then he says go speak to some guy at the mines so i follow the quest marker to this guy he says bring him some bandits i do and the guy looks at me like i am stoned and then says the same thing again can you help

Does your quest log say to bring him a captive? If so:

1) Go enslave any NPC (using Paradise Halls). Your quest log should update when you do this

2) Bring that slave to the mine. Tell the guard you're bringing him a captivel he should respond with "point him out please"

3) Go to the slave and press E (as if you're going to talk to him). A message appears that you have pointed out the slave

4) Talk to the guard again and tell him "that one" or some such. The slave should be transferred to the guard and the quest advances.

the quest is called bounty hunter and like i said it tell s you to see the owner of the mine cant remember is name he tells me go get a bandit but i did nt realize  the quest dose not update to enslave npc it just tells me to go and talk to him after i just did can you tell me what i can do here please couse its starting to get on my nerves

I know this proberly have been asked before, but here it is: Is it possible to keep the slaves in a player owned house without the cell?

 

I dont really like the idea of having to loose a room to a cell, but like the idea that you can train your slaves, so can you purchase a token, that lets you use a room as a "cell" without making it an actual "cell"?

Well...I use Breezehome for that.  I don't use the Alchemy table or the kid's bedroom there at all.  So it's really a waste for me to spend the gold on either one.  It works out for me.  If I adopt any kids, I send them to Lakeview for fresh air, or I use a custom home with support for 6 kids.

it just wont update i tried other saves started the quest still wont advance i am using pah 0.6 repacked i dont know if will stop it from working

 

Please post the exact line from the quest log / objectives. I can then help you advance the quest with a console command if necessary.

 

If you're at the Karthwarsten mine, you may need to chase off a couple of mafia type bandits from that mine first; it's a miniquest from the mine's owner (part of vanilla Skyrim).

Well...I use Breezehome for that.  I don't use the Alchemy table or the kid's bedroom there at all.  So it's really a waste for me to spend the gold on either one.  It works out for me.  If I adopt any kids, I send them to Lakeview for fresh air, or I use a custom home with support for 6 kids.

 

It is possible in the last release. Just purchase a house cell token and use that inside any house (Breezehome, the Jarl's gardening shed, or a cave even). Then use the cell menu and choose "Remove cage".  It will clear the cage and bedroll, and leave only the little chest.

 

Next version will do away altogether with slave functions in buyable homes like Breezehome; it'll all be handled through house cell tokens. The cell upgrades will still be available but will be purely cosmetic.

 

Is it possible to add a Wall and some sort of a roof to the cells of the slave camps... maby with some zaz equipment for training? And I have some Problems with colour mismatches between head and Body...

 

Probably coming in the version after the next one. Outdoor cages are a bit on the bare side.

this mod is really excellent. simple, tons of fun and in my heavily-modded install so far it's been 100% stable, well done. let me know if you want any help writing or re-writing dialogue

 

Thanks :) And I just might take you up on that offer... when I am happy with the upcoming release, I want to put some polish on this mod and I could really use some help with the dialogue.
