You know, I honestly wonder sometimes whether the internet is the best or the worst thing to happen to the modern world ?

I have to say though, I love what it's done for music. It's so much more accessible now, and gives the opportunity for so many to express themselves with covers of their favourite artists, or their own unique creations ❤️

Gotta love NIN

I am a fan of NIN ever since they allowed their discography to be used for a radio station on FO4.    While I would have added other songs (not just NIN) , the radio station is still a pretty good one.

If you like NIN, you might want to check out Skinny Puppy.  They influenced NIN heavily and were and still are decades before their time.  Cleanse, Fold and Manipulate was a release of theirs that I listened to on repeat for years.  Keep in mind most stuff I have found hasn't been remastered.  So look at the date of the release and give some leeway for sound quality.  Skinny Puppy was one of several bands that created music out of noise.  Just something to check out if you are interested.

So there is THIS song.  I would be remiss referencing this song without giving a nod Carl Jung, who hit the nail on the head with his theories - fan of Jung as a thinker before the song came out, so of course when I first heard it years ago, all I could think was "oh HELL yea"

anyone who likes Tool even a little needs to go to a live show.   The experience is unreal.  I wish the video quality was better, but still....

A song for anyone who has expected too much from someone or for those moments when you think perhaps people shouldn't expect much from you - letting people down.  Now I will leave before I depress everyone.  LOL

Ugh. Every time I hear these guys, I'm just reminded of how much I miss concerts...

My last one was a festival that they were part of. I know I've shared another song of theirs, but too bad.

And just because, here's another. Someone I have also shared before, but a different song (Take Me Away).

Spoiler

I find him attractive... haha

Also this guy (again, have previously shared a song of his as well). This would probably be his more well known one (especially if you saw the movie), a cover:

A bit of context to this video, as it wasn't a classic.     However, the protagonist was born the same year as me, graduated the same year, married his H/S sweetheart in a white Tux (a year after graduation and still married today.....along with having the same depraved tastes .....but....hey i am here at LL so...yea..) .

Finally one more point:  Suicide rates among teens (today) are where they were in 1985 (eventually topped out in the 1990s) and was treated as a national crisis at the time.   Then, we had limited choices for music, so I heard this song many times and it may have helped out.   My oldest listen to it and told me that it helped her as well when she was 17. (she is now 19).     So a good song, with a great message sung by a great artist.
