It should be yes, but how many will actually reward this attitude which in my opinion is rare and one of best for PC in last 10 years. I hope many will see this is the route we should go with PC reward dedicated developers for GAMERS with DRM FREE GAMES+DLC FREE. Optimistic this go viral all over net and CD project have gold on there hands. Pessimistic gamers buy it massively on steam first days game have some problems and they all star whining because there system can't handle it or can't play with female(i rather play also with female but if not won't bother me i still play it). My biggest concern is criminals(gamers) torrent it and disgusting idiots download it for free Hope future will show that the way CD Project choose as a developer/publisher is best way for PC to go ONLY WAY TO BUY THE WITCHER 3 IS GOG.COM 100% DRM FREE/DLC GAME!!!

I don't think Witcher 3 will have much of a piracy problem. Sites like TPB were started for the sole purpose of kicking greedy overpricing houses like EA square in the balls for charging idiotic prices for unfinished buggy games and minimalistic DLCs. ProjektRED is exactly the opposite of that and are on their way to starting a trend all gamers, including pirates, will benefit from. Solidarity can go a surprisingly long way.

Sacremas Posted May 8, 2015 Author Posted May 8, 2015 I think one of the first things we'll see aside from new armor and swords is animated sex in the already existing scenes, making them more explicit. Allowing for alternate playthroughs as something else than Geralt will come but will need a complete overhaul.

bjornk Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 GOG has already given away the previous titles for free on numerous occasions. Even I have gifted an extra TW2 to someone. If GOG has the game you want, it would be really stupid to buy it from somewhere else. GOG games are not only DRM-free, but they are also not tied to a single account, meaning that you may install them on multiple PCs in your house, legally, and the people who live with you (wife, kids, siblings etc.) may also play them on their PCs. If the price is too steep for you, just wait for summer sales, or just keep an eye on their website, you might even get the game for free. Also, if you don't want the previous TW titles in your games library, then there's no need to buy them just for the story. These games are all story based and linear with not much of a replay value, unless, of course, you are a crazed TW fan who wants to see all possible endings. You won't lose much if you just watch an LP of it, instead of playing the actual game. As for the gameplay mechanics, both TW and TW2 have issues and annoyances, I see no reason to bother with any of them either. Watch an LP, then move on to TW3.

...0... Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Im not so handy with my fingers on keyboard when it comes to quick time events like that boxing game in TW2 to advance any further. I manage it barely on hard but when i try it on dark difficulty i was not fast enough to react to the stupid letters pop up on you screen i gave up. But TW2 game was not bad it's just not like Skyrim or TW3 now with open world.

There weren't even that many, it was just a medium-sized group that ran a petition on the forum, and one of the devs saw it and just went "hey, give these people hair". It may not seem like a big deal, but I've never before been in this kind of developer-gamer exchange. No press handlers or bureaucrats or spokespeople, just gamers to gamers. Devs these days are way too uppity to hang out with us "common rabble". Probably the main reason why Red is my favorite company.
Sacremas Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 I'm a big fan of the old Interplay crew, inExile, Obsidian and Bioware, they published probably my favorite RPGs of all time put together. Hell those people made MOST of the known western RPGs of the last two decades! inExile's being cool with free game of the year upgrade to Wasteland 2, Pillars of Eternity is getting free stuff, and and aside from the big release just out most of the small DLCs for Dragon Age Inquisition so far have been free. Old Republic was kind of a black mark on Bioware in my book, but I'm putting most of the blame for that (as the story missions and base game was great, like 8 games rolled together) on the evil EA they allowed to buy them. Now that was a silly move. They probably after a while felt the same as John Carmac felt about selling id Software to Bethesda.

But Bioware for me are nothing but extension of EA these days, im not supporting them in anyway anymore or interested sinds they team up with EA and Origin only. Luckly i can play soon The Witcher 3 at moment Grim Dawn so don't need Biowares abominations.

I'm hopign the project will get in on the modding scene themselves and release what they originally intended as mods for the game, or just dump the resources so modders can do it. That would be an excellent start towards a modding scene for the game.

CD Projekt’s Marcin Momot restates that the PC version will look superior to the console versions, and cites draw distance, frame-rate, resolution and “exclusive features such as hairworks” as the reasons why. No specific mention of better textures, though. Hope it's true fuck consoles.
